So fab so see your answers! Totally agree on CoB theory, bigger box does increase the intimidation factor - Julian very often holds off getting a game tabled for this reason. We really want to play Harmonies, heard soooo many people say how much they are loving it. Same with Freelancers, high on the wish list!
Thanks for the tag! That CoB is beautiful but it seems like it should involve a formal event haha. Harmonies is just lovely and quick. We've been getting that to the table a lot.
It is honestly the game we are looking forward to the most! We obviously adore gnomes and this game has all of our favorite mechanisms as well. Thank you for creating such a wonderful mix of theme and play!
The Dark Crystal is a family favorite here! Brian Froud worked on the art for that as well I believe. Glad you got to see more of his work! Thanks for watching!
Fun video! Great to see you and Billie again on your channel. You can kind of claim Skyrise for the question of best new-to-you game at least 10 years old. It reimplements a 2008 game called Metropolys from the defunct Ystari publisher. However there are aesthetic and rules changes, so it's not exactly the same. I've been wanting to find Metropolys for a couple years and am thrilled to have Skyrise. It's so good, even the retail edition I have. Keep an eye out for other new editions coming from the old Ystari lineup. It's been rumored that both Myrmes and Shakespeare are getting redos. Both are excellent older games as well!
@@SecondStartotheLeft Same here. I got an original base game a couple years ago second hand, but haven't been able to track down a copy of Backstage. I've seen some people selling the two together for upwards of $300 ....too pricey for me! I'm happy with the look of Shakespeare as is, but Myrmes would be perfect for an aesthetic improvement. 😁
I love your answers, great video as always. I'll just answer one of those questions here. The game I want to play most at the moment is Life of the Amazonia. I mean... Toucan meeples, hello? AND Otters? AND Macaws? I really want to get this at Essen Spiel this year.
Freelancers is really high on my list of games that I want to get off the Shelf of Shame/Opportunity, too. It's just been a busy year and we haven't been able to get many game nights together, but hopefully that will be changing soon.
I feel this! I bought it for my husband for Christmas, but we also had our second baby in October so any game we play right now needs to be quick and easy to jump into, and not a big deal if we get interrupted! I guess we'll get to it when the kiddos are a big older lol!
I will check my stats when I get home. What do you think about a channel on the discord for all of us to share our answers? Thanks for sharing your gaming.

Awe!!! Thank you so much for the shout out about my wonderful little gnome hollow! Hearing your excitement really meant the world to me!!!

We can’t wait for harmonies. Looks so good.
As you can tell, we really love it!
Never heard of Brian Froud but the stuff coming up on google reminded me of Dark Crystal! Cool to learn something new :)

Shakespeare??? I have an old copy but can't find the backstage expansion anywhere. I would love to see that cone back in some form!

I love these tag videos. I haven’t played many games this year ☹️but I did do a movie tag 😊
I will have to check out the movie tag! Do you have a letterboxd account? Billie and I do a lot of movie watching/rating over there.

You had me at otters!! 😀
Freelancers is great, super easy to play. Needs 3 plus but you guys could easily play 2 characters each if you wanted to 2p it.
We will probably wind up playing 2 player so we'll have to do multiple characters but we're looking forward to it.

@@jenng669 The kids will love it too when they are like 6-8+ (might need a little hand holding, depends on their intellect and patience lol)

Good idea! I asked Billie to set it up
