When you do a child challenge you should buy the monster under the bed nightlight. That way you don't have to worry about spraying under the bed.
I always forget the monster exists as I have it disabled in MCCC, lol
or another way to avoid the monster under the bed is to buy a top bunk bed.

I've always had it disabled with mccc, but recently haven't been able to have the mod in. I bought the nightlight and it's directly above the bed and I'm still getting monsters 😩
You could do it in ts3 - children can bake stuff and sell it, they can also paint, fish, write books etc. You can also try with a toddler without mods (in ts3 werewolf toddlers find bugs if they practice hunting but idk if it will give you money, while in ts4 toddlers find seashells while playing in sand on the beach)
They can also fish in sims 4
FYI, I've found that most of the dumpsters in the industrial town don't work because the lots aren't set up to be a landfill. If you will edit that lot trait, the dumpers will start getting stuff.
You should make a part 2 of this and have both kids work to support their parents, and the reason why both have to work is because mom and dad accidentally made another baby. This was a good idea hope you return to this family.
If you buy the Defender night light children and toddlers won’t have nightmares. I can’t play without it. I hate the stupid monsters. 😂
I wish that existed in real life. I'm 35 and have nightmares like that once a month that lead me to sleeping on the sofa.

There's a few nightlights, the basegame one, there's two (well, the owl toy and then two versions of a wall mounted one) from Parenthood, there's one from Werewolves (table lamp), and there's the new one from Growing Together (table lamp). The anti-monster bed from Snowy Escape works, so does putting the kid in a double bed or a top bunk.

You don't need mods to teach toddler to do stuff. They're self-sufficient and they can get all the skills to level 5 on their own fairly quickly. Communication: talking to other sims, giant stuff toys, snowmen and plants; Imagination: playing with toys and dolls, making messes; Potty: okay, here you either need an adult to get to the level 2 or have Independent trait; Movement: wandering around, playing with blocks, playing in snow, playing on yoga mats; Thinking: "watch" interaction mostly (CRAZY quick), also blocks and playing in plants
i would love to see you use the baby sitting mod to have a teen support a familly

This is like the Cinderella Challenge. You have to do all the chores and keep your stepmother and step/sisters or brothers happy. You even have to live in a different section of the house, or a different house altogether. I use mods like these to help my child Cinderella with the cleaning and cooking. Any chance you might want to do a Cinderella challenge video? You don’t have to name your characters the same, you just have to make sure you have a stepmother and step siblings. The stepmother is supposed to have the evil and lazy traits, and you can do any other traits for the rest of the family. And the Cinderella has to be neat and good. Sorry I kinda ranted about this hear. I have a habit of that.
She does have the Disney Princess challenge in a playlist. I don't believe it's finished but Cinderella was gen 2 possibly.

Tried a challenge yesterday. Did big brother style house and 8 sims and have them access to use the extreme violence mod. Live-streamed it and it was very messy very quickly. No door meant death and the police couldn’t do anything 😂😂

It is absolute madness, not many other games can get away with so much DLC/packs, and not only that but a lot of the functions in packs should be available in base game, the game feels purposefully left incomplete as is, without mentioning the bugs. Don't get me wrong, The Sims is one of my favorite game franchise of all time, but EA are GREEDY!

What mods are you using so Saskia can cook
so there's a mod/CC item that lets toddlers spawn food from a lunchbox, and there's probably a mod out there that allows toddlers to pay bills. alternatively, you could just use the adults to do the actual bill paying, but leave all the moneymaking to the toddler. I'd really like to see a challenge like this but with a toddler having to run the household and feed everyone- maybe this same family, but switching the control over to Jerry? it would certainly be a little bland if the toddler was the only child. or maybe this family setup again, but letting the toddler and child tag-team taking care of the household!
toddlers can make a little bit of money, like by finding seashells, and if I remember correctly they can manage bee boxes by themselves. there are also some mods that allow toddlers to make a tiny bit of money in addition to that, like a drawing set I've seen that's basically the child activity table but on the floor. I think the present stack from seasons would also be an inventive way to make money, as you profit from it the vast majority of the time!
I'm interested in either that or this challenge with Jerry as an infant. maybe he could be a calm infant to make it work a little better, and you'd need yet another mod to let Saskya take care of him in a meaningful way. I just think it would be really fun.
it would also add another challenge to limit Saskya's individual outings to school, and say that whenever she has a choice, she has to take infant or toddler Jerry with her. I mean, it's not like her parents are trustworthy enough to care for him themselves!

There’s a difference with the title, but you mean what if a dumb child ran the house. Not necessarily calling people dumb but saying there’s different ways that children can run the household. In my case, I grew up fast and matured really quickly, and I understood that my parents were struggling. I would try to find ways to help and make money. I knew how to cook, do the chores, and many more things, so if I was running a household it wouldn’t be that hard.
I just really appreciate that you pronounced it faux and not faux 🥲🫶🏽
