I really respect that you share this knowledge for free. Thanks
Martin, You are so incredibly underrated! 🔥🔥
For real bro!!!!!
Potentially the only video one needs to see to produce music more efficiently. The amount of head nodding and agreement because I did so many things you described when I started out is off the charts... especially understanding music theory... omg I spent so much time on that. Great Video Martin!
We're for it boss!!! Most underrated in the game.
This video helped me a lot, many times I felt as if you were talking specifically about me, because I have made all the mistakes you pointed out, non the less, very high- tech, great quality content, very creative and outstanding nothing like these other gaslighting youtubers who are just here for the money, cheers.
I almost fell into the hole of music theory then pulled myself out when I realized using a note not in the "fixed scale" sounded better sometimes lol now I use that feature for a structure mainly
so glad you explained that you use soft clipper + limiter on your bus and master channels, I'm a noob at producing and I've starting doing that technique some time ago to get my stuff louder and more "brickwall" but I wasn't sure if it's something I should be doing.
Seeing you use this technique and explaining why it's a good thing was very reassuring.
but maybe I shouldn't be using a pro L with 4x oversampling on like every bus channel because my projects get super laggy super fast 😅
This is incredible. I really appreciate the honest value you've created with this video.
excellent tut and cool song idea, love to see the track from scratch with an explanation. you do it very well.
this sound so good, want more !!
ok got it, make drum loops for the next 10 years!!!
😂 bro... until we die
@@ModestIntentions yep, untill i get the perfect one, i want that 2010 Noisia sound :P
So good. Thanks for sharing!
Dude those tips are huge❤
ty.Yeah i will agree that theory don't replace ears and feeling of genre as well
I wish I heard people pronounce what you just wrote more often so I could confirm they understand this
Крутая тема, полезнейшее видео
aye im glad you mentioned lexurus hes so underrated and i see andromedik also doing his style but leuxurs does it most consistently such and underrated guy
Top of tier list for me
I should make a dnb tier list!!!
Lexurus and Andromedik I take the most influence from too tbh. I love Sub Focus and early Matrix & Futurebound too for the melodic big room dancefloor stuff
@@MXTR16 SSS tier artists. End of story.
@@MXTR16 ye i would also add metrik to this list i didnt mention him since hes style is more like dark dystopian but hes fkin sick
Пила гуд) итс кул стаф)
Lets go!
Hey MI, I've got a question about monitoring headphones! I've been using Sennheiser HD-25-1 II headphones for my productions for years (originally were my DJ headphones). I've been thinking about getting some proper monitoring headphones recently. Could you recommend a set?
Before I recommend something, let me try to ask around a thing or two. But generally speaking, planar driver headphones, open back
@@ModestIntentions kind of a tough call!! I know that planar driver sets tend to have more accurate bass response, which is important for making drum and bass, but with open backs I could really see the benefit in a more open feeling soundstage. So, for the purpose of focusing on frequency separation, I am leaning toward open back.
@DiBBs277 but what I mean is that I have planer driver AND open-back on my headphones. You need a pair with both attributes. Obviously I'm a fan of Audeze.
I wanna shout out the Fostex T60 RP for mixing!!
Where can I find those DNB_BREAK sample files youre playing with near the end of the video?
musicradar free dnb breaks samplepack
@@ModestIntentions thanks man! 😊
Where is your releases?
I have released 5 tracks in the second part of last year with viper as tunnl vision, a track with ridmic as runnl vision (which is available on liquicity) and have 2 tracks lined up for this year as modest intentions on liquicity and ridmic
"You would skip the whole video to go to the end and listen before and after and draw a conclusion if you should watch the video..."
I'm in this photo and I don't like it.
haha me too though. But for me it's easier I think
I always make drums from scratch and I never use samples. maybe thats why im so trash lol
You can make drums from scratch, save them, then when you want to make music, combine them in layers to achieve the fattest sound possible and move on to that next thing you had in mind😊
@@ModestIntentions I tried that earlier today and got some great results. thanks brother
