Great quality video, clear and concise information that for someone like me who has dipped in and out of trying music production (and just not succeeding) I've watched it all the way through once and will rewatch and work along, It's handy this is in FL as that's my DAW of choice. The only thing is that you know your shortcut commands so you can breeze through it quicker, I see you go into stretch mode for some things like the vocal samples for instance, but also you could copy a section, grab and paste it whilst I would highlight that section, ctrl C then ctrl V which most of the time doesn't copy the bar in time correctly. Anyway, great video, I would love to see a 2 step garage video in the style of zerofg, interplanetary criminal, etc, dark moody 2 step with plenty of filtered wub bass. 😊😊😊 It's funny what you say about the short intros, I'm a 40yr old 90s uk garage, Jungle/DnB DJ and like my intros long for mixing.
Just as an aside, I know it's something you couldn't do all the time, but possibly if you could do one with royalty free samples or something that you can zip up for download and we could work along with would be great.
Awesome to hear you watched it all the way through already! And thanks for the feedback, appreciate it! I’m stuck in my own ways of doing things and do need to use more shortcuts 😁 Gna be looking into more garage/bass tutorial once I’ve finished my next dnb sample pack 👌 And that’s a great idea, I’ll look into it, most samples in this video are from my “Jump Up DnB Sample Pack” so you can follow along with that, but I agree would be good to have a free tutorial too, I’ll add it to the list 🙌
I don't really get the idea/concept behind the reference track tho... Like, what are you getting out of it? what is the purpose of it? Could you explain?
@@SamCraenen it’s to assist you in developing your production value, so you have something to compare your track to, that’s why you should always pick the TOP producers for your reference tracks. So for DnB people like Chase and Status, Bou, Sub Focus, K Motionz etc etc
@@SamCraenen once you’ve maxed out your production quality to a certain extent it can become a hinderance as it can interfere with your creativity, so that’s something to keep in mind too

@@ArcNade bro why are your atmos' different bpm's?
@@JoshWilsonProjects because DnB isn’t just 1 BPM, just time stretch them to fit the BPM you have chosen like I have in the video :)
