I had a terrible relationship with beauty for the longest time. I have a connective tissue/collagen disorder that affects my entire body and I always felt like I was fighting against it. It wasn't until I found yoga and methods to build strength and support from within that I realised I need to give as much to my body as I take. I feel my most beautiful when I find this balance. Over the past few years I have loved taking more time to do skin and hair treatments and I find them just as valuable for cultivating a better understanding of myself. I've even managed to see some benefits to my disorder, because of it my skin is very soft and youthful!
Yoga can be a life changer. I had a period in my life where I was very committed to a practice, and I never felt better, mentally or physically. Knowing this, I don’t know why I stopped…well, I do, my job takes up all my time and sucks all the energy out of me….I need to start up with yoga again now more than ever. Glad it’s helped you so much!
@@geslinam9703 it definitely is! I recently quit a job that was making me feel the same way. I didn't manage to find a way to make time for yoga either really, but just in case it helps you to hear, even five minutes dedicated to yourself/practise once a week is still valuable. It doesn't have to be a full class to have a positive effect. I'm lucky to be in a position now where I can reconnect with my practise and someday I hope you will be too.
@@terenlarge thanks for that, you are so right. When I first started yoga, there was a wonderful yoga center really close to my house. Beautiful atmosphere, you felt just shrouded in peace as soon as you walked in the door. My mom bought me a yearly membership for my birthday every year. Sadly, they changed locations and added Pilates and a kick boxing and the whole vibe of the place changed and I just didn’t enjoy it anymore. So I started going to another one in an old Victorian house in our historic area, that was nice too, then they closed down. Now all my town has is two hot yoga places. (No thanks!). But I could practice at home, I know what the benefits are, it’s up to me to make that commitment to my health!!
It’s quite interesting to see how beauty standards and thinking is so different around the world but I think your viewpoint is spot on. You use it as a chance to treat yourself and indulge in self care which is lovely ❤ I’m happy you have a healthy relationship with beauty 😊

Also i noticed that the bump on your piercing hasn’t go away :( I’ve deal with that in the past twice, and the bump never went away until i took the piece out😢, at least thats how i got better, maybe you can take it out, let it heal, and do it again! And this time be extra careful with it, as far as i know the bumps come up because of trauma ( like hitting your face or the piece with something). hope my experience helps a little, love youuuu girlyy!! Seeing you link the inner self with the outer self really inspired me to go back to self care and taking care of my body. I realized I spent a lot of energy on my mental health but didn’t really learn to nurture a relationship with my body. So your approach to beauty made me let go of the idea of it being « superficial » but actually an act of self love to the body. ♥️ For the first time in a while I’m actually excited to take a long shower and take care of my body :)

Does the sunscreen have any coverage? It looks like a really nice beige color! I don't like spfs with white casts🤣🤣
There’s no white cast, it has very natural coverage. I would say it evens out the skin tone very effectively, but it doesn’t cover pimples and such 💚
