To be fair, reclaiming Halamshiral back to its rightful owners is a good start for Solas to solidify his power base and gain a good reputation among the elves (but only if he sets aside his prejudices against city elves and the Dalish that is).

Sera is actually a great character. Between all this prestigious characters, it's nice to have a character of common people who only simply want the return of their daily live . Her banter with Vivienne is the best

@@rufure9294 Nah sorry but she's not a character of the common people. She's offensive and perpetuates so many terrible stereotypes about the groups she represents. The one that bugs me the most though is that she's supposed to represent a very working class minded Britishness and that's shown as racist, ignorant and dimwitted with a complete unwillingness to accept opinions and cultures she doesn't subscribe to.
She's one of the worst characters to come out of Bioware for a long time and a really unfortunate LGBT+ representative to have. I really struggle to keep her around in my playthroughs of Inquisition.

They were there in spirit, cause even if they didn't go when you come back to Skyhold they talk about it as if they were.
Hivernal Yeah, that confused me at first when Varric and Solas chat about how the court reacts to their presence and I'm like 'you guys weren't even there!' If they're going to have them chat they might as well have just made it so everyone comes along.
It also happens when you kill a dragon, Iron Bull still acts like you killed it with him.

No idea about the bug though :( There've been updates so I thought it was fixed? In DAI there're no banter places anymore. They rly talk at random. Sometimes when you stay still, sometimes when walking around, with varying time periods in between.

Cole is capable of become invisibile to the Eyes of People and let then forgot about him, but if you turn him human, he becomes unable to do that, but he still doesn't get an introduction.
I think that is a mistake from the developers.
Or a statement about how the snobs of Orlais are such massive dickbags to the common folk.
He's still not a human. Just more human-like than he was before. He still doesn't eat food, for example. I don't think it is a mistake, as he isn't a human.

This is some brilliant writing I haven't seen in a long fucking time in gaming.
Because, my friend most studios like Bethesda nowadays horde most of their cash for content instead of immersive writing nowadays (to cut corners) or they prefer to put their talent into an online game instead. Bioware still have masterful writing in spite of its shortcomings much like CD Projekt Red or Red Threat Studios (or any other likewise studio). The big ones that do sandbox hardly bother any longer, once they've reached their acclaimed peak they let everything fall loose (take Square-Enix for example; FF7 was considered their Da Vinci but FF8 was that 'out to lunch' case) and Skyrim became Bethesda's 'out to lunch' game.

Super late to this party but IDC, Dorian and Varrik are absolutely well versed in reading the faces of others. Especially those who are concealed in public
i didn't bring Solas to the ball with me because i thought he'd garner negative attention, what with being an apostate and a hermit no less. well...apparently i was dead wrong. he actually relishes in Orlesian intrigue :o
Veilfire It makes sense when you find out who Solas actually is.
The intrigue to prove how corrupted the nation is, rotten to the core. Even without Corypheus they are still a molly gathering of total pricks. Solas reveals how much Arlathan ironically was much like them (you first find out at the temple of mythal) only they added the arrogance of thinking they were to be loved and worshipped. Sera represents something they would have squashed out quickly because they would NOT be insulted which is why they warred with the forgotten ones.
Sera is actually the only one who doesn't like being there. Have 60+ court approval before you talk to her at the Winter Palace and you will have her approval dropped. (It will increase if you have 60 or less)
I find it interesting that Leliana's status as the HoF's mistress if they are the Queen/King is acknowledged openly in the formal setting. Not so suprised with Vivienne, since it this is how the court/nobility works in Olais - favourite is probably more or less an official position, but the first game gave me impression from the dialogue that Ferelden operates a little differently - that a lover of the king/queen may be an open secret but wouldn't be officially acknowledged. It's interesting. Then again maybe the Olesians simply don't care. I wonder if the HoF who is Alistair mistress would get a similar acknowledgment.
Difference between Orlais and Ferelden.
Nearly every companion has a rather impressive resume, excluding Solas. Elven serving man...

I can't help but wonder when I hear Blackwall being called Constable of the Grey. Think about it. Constable of the Grey (or Warden-Constable) is the literal second-in-command of an entire national branch of the Grey Wardens and the acting Warden-Commander should the actual Warden-Commander be unavailable. Given this and how Blackwall is being called Constable of the Grey, how exactly did he go so long staying out of contact, recruiting for the Wardens and not really knowing the ins and outs of the order? If I've missed something, let me know.

It's far more likely that Solas chose that description himself, if just to keep a lower profile. For Leliana that comes from choosing to have her as your mistress in an Origins human noble game (the two versions depending on whether that warden was male or female).

And to you who are curious as to why The Warden is only Prince Consort:
I think it's because the title King always ranks higher than Queen. Anora has more right to the throne than The Warden (Being the widow of Former King Cailan) so he can only be a prince as he is the one that married into the royal family and not the other way around.
That's the way in Denmark at least. We got Queen Magrethe who was heir to the throne and her husband Henrik is only some noble from France that married into royalty so he can only be Prince as it is rightfully Magrethe's throne

Then you have the same problem I do, I technically haven't heard any banter (Iiterally), a few conversations (and the most part were Varric+AnotherCharacter, because I always had him in my party) in my most long playthrough (110+) T_T Hope they fix that soon! :)

I am just noticed that the Imperial Court call Cullen as Former Knight Commander of Kirkwall. So after the crisis in Kirkwall, he got promotion to Commander rank, didn't he?
But I remember that he was Knight Captain when he met Hawke. And, while the Inquisition stay in Haven one of templar call him Knight Captain; however, he decline that is not his title anymore.
If Hawke sided with the Templars in DA2 , he turns knight commander

Canal Parasita Most of my Hawkes don't side with the Templars and Cullen is always presented as former Knight-Commander at the Ball.
IIRC,his character profile on the official Dragon Age site stated that Cullen led the templars and restored order after Meredith was defeated. I guess that means he was promoted to Knight-Commander of Kirkwall.
With Meredith dead I assume he took up the title (briefly) when he took command of Kirkwall's Templars until Cassandra recruited him to the Inquisition so technically neither "Knight-Commander" or "Knight-Captain" would be his title anymore.
it still gets to me that a Lady Cousland that marries Alistair is Queen of Ferelden, yet a male Cousland that marries Anora is just Prince Consort
There is real world context. For example notice there is currently no king of Britain, despite Queen Elizabeth being married. A ruling queen's husband may have a 'lesser' title with the assumption that a husband with the title of king might be seen as her superior.

Honestly, most main quests could have used it, just having inactive party members still join the fray with the soldiers/as a special strike team, and bumping into them if the opportunity is presented. The only one that does not present that opportunity is Champions of the Just.
Who actually says "Did you see their faces? Priceless."? I always thought it was Bull but in my playthrough, I didn't even bring him and that quote just came out of nowhere.

I'd thought about it though, there are similarities indeed, but *"Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts" it's on a whole another level, an assassins guild outdone by "common politics."
IMHO, the devs spent so much time to make this mission great, that the next mission *"The Final Piece,"* was kinda underwhelming for me.

Though you mix things up a little ,'Final Piece' is the one you get a dragon in, and its mostly Flemeth talking. Are you talking about Well of Sorrows one or Corypheus one?

And of course I remember "Whodunit?" it's practically the only memorable mission on Oblivion, I can count on one hand the missions I liked on that game, now I'm criticizing it as bad hahaha...
PS, I play TES since the first one, Arena, and Oblivion is the one I least like.
@@MihzvolWuriar Maybe it's just because it is more detached from the overall 'war on all fronts' topic to set the stage for Solas to eventually emerge and get player a look at the ancient elves. Can't say I disliked it, especially since it does end up with confronting either Calpernia or Samson, and either is more interesting to interact with than Corypheus (blaming the devs, honestly, Corypheus had an untapped potential to be a well-defined, terrifying villian, and did a fight with him and instead... well.)
As for TES I can't say I have a defined favorite, but Oblivion had me sold with a number of things I can't find elsewhere in the series. Most of all - finally breaking out of 'prophesized hero' trope, as you are there more to enable Martin to be a heroic savior the world needs, rather than doing it yourself...
And then there are Shivering Isles. Boy were those fun in general :D

No it's the same, if it was too loud I could just lower the volume (for music only). I do that for FX volume sometimes, especially for Haven outside talks. I record the music separately in compilations because they require many cuts, so if music was there with dialogue, it would be all in pieces too = not very nice. So it's better to add it separately or just get rid of it completely.
