Thank you for another helpful video!!!
This video is great because it shows that automatic transmission doesn't always requires costly repair and that there are things even on this very complicated system, that anybody can fix.

my 2009 Jeep GC problem is little different form this.
      one day it sudden happen when i start the car and shift . the [P] become [R] , and [R] become [N] , [N] become [D] ,
i can't shift to actual [D] position, also parking [P] is missing.
car still can move forward and reverse but all shift locations are mix up .

@@LMAutoRepairs I would first like to say thank you for the video, it was somewhat informative and there does not appear to be many videos regarding this particular issue on this particular vehicle.
In the video, you never mention a tab/clip that slides out to release the cable and fix the shift lock.
The process isn't rocket science, but we never see the process, only the results.
I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to figure out what the hell you did to get the shift cable to move.

Hi Luis, great work as always.
So these systems require an input signal of brake pedal pressing and ignition on to release the gear lever. Do these inputs go to a body control module whiich then outputs a signal to a solenoid on the gear lever or is there a seperate dedicated module which performs this function.
Some of these systems are stupid because if the electrical side fails there is no over ride capabilty which could leave you calling a tow truck as on a peugeot 207 I once had.

Morning Sir! You probably get this question on every video you post, so I apologise for doing it again! I'm in the market for a GOOD scan tool, budget £1,000+ and I have been trying to figure out which one (on balance...) provides the best coverage for European vehicles. I've looked at the coverage database for Autel and on the Launch website, but Autel's website is not great and launch don't provide any real details. Also spent ages watching video comparisons between the various vendors. I understand that neither of them will ever cover all possible scenarios. From your experience, if I was to invest that sort of money, which one would work most of the time? Thank you for your time and knowledge. Really appreciate everything you share with us! 🙏😎

      Hi
      It's complicated...
There is no tool that is going to connect to every car... to every system...
That's why I make this videos with the MaxiSys... to help people to see a bit more in details what the tool can actually do...
Also, whichever tool you end up buying, will not be able to do things that the another one will... and vice versa...
      If that makes sense!...
In the end, needs to be your decision....
      Hope that help!
      Thank you for watching!

    • @AddictedtoProjects
      @AddictedtoProjects 6 лет назад +1

@@LMAutoRepairs Thank you Sir, that's pretty much what I expected. It's also what all the other diagnosticians on RUclips seem to mention. As a 'generic' tool, that covers most scenarios, would you recommend the Maxisys 906?
Again, I'm not trying to pin you down or hold you to your word, as I understand that these tools cannot cover everything.
I suspect that I will also have to get a brand specific tool for my future car. I just like having a 'generic' one that can be used with the cars of my family and friends, and then a vehicle specific for my own car. At the moment I use Diagbox for our Peugeots, and that works a treat. I am planning on getting a Merc soon, so I'll invest in a copy of the MB Star software and multiplexer.
