Thanks for this, I just got the same kit and wanted to see if there's any tricks before I start messing with it, appreciate the walk through!

Glad it helped. I would mount the roller a bit further back than I did thou. It rubs on the side of the back/seat when going up and down.

I ran into a bit of a hitch, the '86 FJ60 we have apparently has holes in the upper C pillar to attach the top mounts but no threaded insert, just holes in the body. I'll have to see if Seatbelt Planet has any ideas.

@RobertsAdventure shit. That’s right. I think 85 and up don’t have C pillar thread behind it. There’s got to be a solution though.
      Check the ih8mud forum.

@@Missedmyride Good call! Couple of threads on ih8mud. Sounds like making a backing plate from appropriate grade nut and washer or buying a backing plate and then using fishing line to pull it up the inside of the pillar is the preferred solution. Sounds fiddly but there's at least a couple of people who claim they've done it so I'll give that a crack. Thanks again!

I just checked out your RUclips channel and loved its attractive aesthetics. However, I did notice a few issues that need your attention. One area that caught my eye is the SEO aspect, especially the lack of optimized tags and tag volume. It seems like these aspects haven't been fully addressed. There might be other concerns as well that you should look into

Did you decide on the best spot to place the retractor?

I didn’t move it. But a bit further back would be better so the seat doesn’t hit it when it goes up and down. And it should still function properly.
