Piston need to be calibrated when it is removed for decarbonisation.
This calibration should be done as per makers recommended procedure.
All clearances should be taken and values to be compared with the makers value.
Action should be taken as per maker's recommendations if the value exceeds

to take Axial and radial clearence,,should we use an old piston or new piston

Use the same piston which is removed from any unit.. Idea is to know the condition of piston whether it can be used or not..
