@@mahaliahoyte6038 yes! I learned that when my Ex was stealing money from my children’s bank accounts while I was undergoing chemotherapy to save our lives. And, I found out when I was pregnant with my youngest when I just got a cancer diagnosis for one of my twins…Between the devastation and what we had been through, plus the fact the money was compiled from gifts from family and friends… this betrayal was inconceivable. And when people ask me if I would ever reconcile, my reply is “I have no use for anyone like that, I don’t care who it is!!!!” - and he still hasn’t made good on it! He definitely will see court papers on this!!! He has no conscience, but Momma Bear will make it right legally…

I agree if a man says he doesn't want anything, you have to hear what he says the first time...trust me, you won't change his mind or him or have that certain something... sure, talk to him but pull away and protect yourself. When they do want something, you may be on their radar, maybe not, but at least you have protected yourself. Trust me, it does hurt, but at least you don't feel used...

I miss that teammate 😰 My Ex was like that when we first met. It was necessary because when we first started, while we lived together, my life was still long distance (work & school, friends& family)...during the week I was only home for a short period of time. after work & school...this worked for the first 8 years of our relationship...things changed after I graduated and we got married and I found work in state...I sometimes think that long distance dynamic despite living together, doing things together, still delayed our relationship...

Dating for 2 months now, I met his parents and he has met mine. Right after that he said the idea of a relationship/the label sounds 'heavy' and a bit sufficating? Even though it was his idea to invite me to see his family. I declined earlier invites (going to his birthdayparty, his sisters' wedding party) because I found it all too soon...
I really tried to take it slow, over these past weeks we had alot of fun dates outside of the house. And now it's getting more serious (his sister said that they haven't met the last girl he was seeing..?), he's getting doubts? Even mentioned an open relationship.. because he feels he can't look at other women now? So feels like doing it secretly because I won't like that.. I asked if I did or said anything that makes him feel trapped in any kind of way? He said no, it's just fear of commitment..
On our fist date I said I find it a beautiful thing to be with 1 person only and go deeper & deeper with them.. (I tried poly, it's not my thing).
I dont know how to go about this? Any thoughts?

It took me decades to accept that chemistry is, I’ll say, just the ignition switch. It doesn’t at all indicate that the engine - compatibility - is sound. In fact I had to face that I was somewhat addicted to the thrill of “falling in love:” the early intensity. And it took me just as long to accept that sex does NOT generate love. It’s embarrassing how long it took me, but at least, at last, I’m dead sober about sex. It’s mostly just scratching an itch. Except for the oxytocin flooding that makes us women batshit about a guy we just met. Which is why I don’t do early sex anymore, and avoid dinner dates for days, preferably weeks. Coffee and lunch keep the hormones at bay, somewhat. I’m also experiencing “Widow’s Fire,” a heightened sex drive. I’ve learned both women and men can develop this after the death of a loved one, and it doesn’t help you stay rational. But if you’ve ever experienced a worthwhile relationship after taking it mindfully and slowly, you know it’s so worthwhile to slow down. In 70 years, I’ve had exactly one of those. We were wonderful together.
I just ended a long term connection with a man (I have been watching his movements) who came back here in late 2022 after ghosting me for 16 months...when he came back he came back very humble and different...then he acquired the high paying position and wham the real him came back...each time he stepped closer I shield my heart...thank god I did...after trying to get a status from this man he pulled the last game card and I fired the gun....I told him were friends...he is now gone and I am free from the BS...my heart in tact my ego together and healing and my motive to go forward in life...we talking about folks over 60 years of age here...for me I am done and if he play crazy and come back here we will have it out...

The other issue I have with this is I’ve talked to a therapist and they said you can heal these wounds in a relationship so you’re saying everybody has to be completely healthy to have a healthy relationship and you can have insecure or avoidant issues but they can also be worked in the relationship if you’re ready for that that’s the thing people have to be ready to work on it And be aware of it and they must want the relationship so much so that they’re able to realize that these are unhealthy coping mechanisms that must be destroy!!!
And if you know so much, why aren’t you healthy? I wonder that you know it’s amazing no offense but seriously.

I was in a dating site. Lasted two weeks lol but I would also consider it a tennis match. A back and forth ..so I would answer their question and the last sentence I wrote asked them one in return. Sometimes it worked and other times the person would just be shallow in their conversing and they weren’t brave enough to make a call . The Pickins are slim I tell ya. I lasted two weeks. lol lol 😂

Because bad guys are good at cosplaying good guys. They act like soulmates and seem to resonate with you like no one before just to get what they want. While good guys just act like themselves and if it's not a match, you see it right away. I don't think you would reject your true soulmate just because he's a good guy, you just don't have time to meet him while dealing with all those confusing narcs who acted like the one at the beginning then made 180 degrees.
