From 2008 to 2021, it set a standard for CQB. On the one day when they opened up the entire site, which included all the police cells and exercise yard etc... that was phenomenal.
Sadly the standard of management went down a little and cheaters were all over the place.

I don’t get the hype for 1911’s. Revolutionary idea that Samuel Colt had. Ammunition stored in a metal casing within the handle. It got us beyond those antiquated “wheel guns”.

It's a real thing. The suppressor has extended threads and goes past the compensator holes.

I saw one on aliexpress with the correct embossed trades. Although one can’t be sure of the quality of the glass and ruggedness, hence why I tend to steer clear of replicas.
If it’s just for looks though, it’ll do the job.

Haha, it’s a slow burn.
So with the HK417, I had the same thing. Double feeding, which then led to jams and extreme gas venting. It’s bolt bounce. At least that was the issue for me.
A heavier buffer sorted this out and it fired 1 shot at a time after that…which was a massive relief.
Hephaestus makes an upgraded buffer which is said to work. Sadly these weren’t available when I owned a 417, and I bought a custom made one.
Here in my country steel buffer is available, but don’t know the brand exactly,I’ll try to purchase one, hopefully it work...tnx badabing

November 2021 was my last time. I don’t miss it at all.
I had been playing since I was 13, now late 30’s, so the novelty has gone a long time ago. These days I enjoy the peace of sitting in a quiet place drinking coffee or going to the cinema.
May I ask why you left the sport?
Over the last few years (prior to my last day in November 2021) I had been becoming more and more uninterested in the game.
While trying to keep it more challenging and engaging by only using pistols, I began to dread going. I had several awful game days/weekend events and then my friends and I decided to end it. There’s more to it but that’s the bulk of it.
I prefer my weekends to be spent in peace and solitude. I don’t miss it at all.
My favourite years were back at the turn of the millennium and throughout the early 2000’s. It felt like a video game.
