Bought one about a year ago- put it on a 22mm fabric strap from Barton. Perfect beater watch - for working on a car, carpentry landscaping etc. weighs about 60 grams
Nice looking piece, would have liked a screw down crown though. I have the Pro Master super Titanium version which is pretty well bullet proof. I'm catching up on a few of your reviews today and had a good laugh at the Mathey Tissot. I believe that they can call it "Swiss Made" because the aircraft flew over Switzerland on its journey from China LOL.
I bought mine a few weeks ago on a black leather strap which makes it even lighter. I love the simplicity of it although, I do find reading the day/date a little difficult (I wear specs!) A great watch at a great price.
I recently bought the BM8560-88L variant which looks identical with the exception the red bits around the edge are lime green. Fantastic watch, cost £225 locally. The clasp is superb, easy to use and feels very secure. It's a lovely watch (light!!!) and has a very attractive military look and I'm keeping it in a display case to wear for special occasions. £225 is a lot of money for me so I'm pleased to have got it, it is super comfortable and good looking. Love it!!!
This beautiful watch has everything you could possibly want in a beater....solar powered,day/date,titanium, A/R crystal and water resistance 100m. the only thing "missing" is crown guards, but that's just me! Great review as always. Keep up the good work.😊
Why does citizen always go a little "big" on their case size. They never seem to make 39mm size, which is crazy popular with brands like seiko, orient, ect.. lots of 42mm+ size. Maybe just me complaining with my tiny wrists haha. Nice watch though!
They're using a stamped extension because of $$. This is a wildly inexpensive watch for its construction. It's robotically assembled, which helps with costs a lot. You can tell because the seconds hands on these usually have such good alignment. It's a lot less than $270 if you buy from one of the Spanish super-cheapos, who are selling them for 157 Euro outside of the EU.
Nice review. I love Citizen's Eco Drive and wear a Chandler field watch; it's very accurate. 2 years and it seems to get enough light in everyday use. For a similar option look at Momentum's Atlas Eclipse Solar. A bit smaller at 38mm, titanium, sapphire crystal, 100 meter WR, and a screw down crown. It uses an Epson VS42 solar movement and is assembled in Vancouver, Canada. It is $312 Cdn so about $230 in US. I am thinking of adding it to my collection.
When I first saw this, I thought of the Hamilton 38mm with the Sarb017 strapcode oyster bracelet upgrade, but + titanium...., and some cooler dial styling
Thanks for posting this excellent review. It's really useful. I'm seriously thinking about purchasing the *BM8560-11XE* variant of this watch. It comes with a heavy duty tan leather strap with white stitching. The buckle is also made of titanium that matches the watch case perfectly. The face is super dark khaki, to the point of being black. It really looks the part of a military field watch. In fact, it's simply gorgeous looking. I live in The Netherlands and I can pick one up for €188.15, inclusive of P&P. This price is an absolute steal for a watch of this quality. I just have to bite the bullet and do it. 🕒😎
Just an update on my original post. I found an even better deal from a German selling a brand new one on ebay. After a bit of haggling, I bit the bullet and bought the: *BM8560-11XE* model for, €165.00. That's $177.91 on 03/30/23, (30/03/2023 for the rest of us) rates. What a deal eh! I'm really looking forward to receiving the watch between Tuesday and Thursday of next week. 😀
Does this have the perpetual day date feature like the brycen? If so, I’m in. If not, I am out. My Swiss auto, I hated messing with the date and day. PSA, never buy an auto Swiss watch, they don’t last and keep bad time.
@@user-pz5ju7mw3k He's right in the sense that, compared to any quartz, that $20K Rolex is going to be at least 4x less accurate (getting out by at least 10 seconds/week, and maybe three times that), while most $200 quartz watches will stay within 10 seconds a month. So for a hundred times less money, you get at least 400% better accuracy. But yeah it says "Citizen" on the dial, which might not be as impressive at the yacht club.
This isn't a Chinese-made Seiko. This is made in a robotic factory where there's some actual QC going on. It might not be microscope-perfect, but it'll be miles beyond modern Seiko sh^t.
That is the only watch any of us need! 😂 I love Citizen.
I have two Citizen titanium eco drive watches and they are the most comfortable watches on the wrist.
This model is very attractive as well!

What color strap from Barton u bought?
I have the same on. It always put a smile on my face. Very easy to read, lume lasts enough, very accurate. Its perfect for daily watch.

And they say that Americans, British, Europeans, live in full prosperity and can easily afford such watches.
@@Foma_Kinyaev4188Looks like someone(that means you sport) is jealous of other countrie's prosperity. Work harder.
Instantly clicked when I saw the thumbnail of the Imperial Garrison in the background 🤣🤣 Great review as always!!
I bought this watch 2 weeks ago, and been wearing it since. I own quite some watches but this one kind of amazed me.

great watch, i love anything titanium
The manual is like “Go away! Leave me alone!” 😄

I totally agree with you, no mercy for tiny wrist guys like us.haha!!
they do, check the versions for japanese domestic market.

Bonito reloj Citizen. 👏👏🤩🤩⌚️⌚️⌚️
I wouldn't care about pressed clasp. Nice leather or nato strap is a perfect combo for this watch.

I have one and like it a lot, but the date window is very hard to see.
I'm looking at my watch now while watching this movie and the time is the same as in the recording. :D Normally x-file. :D

2 videos on Sunday? madness 😅!!!!
Less than £175 in uk. All of the citizens I have owned on a bracelet have pressed clasps.
Saphire and titanium makes it better than the promaster
What might be an aftermarket clasp to stick on thisone?
This is a very nice watch, your videos cost me a lot 😂
Sorry! (not sorry...lol).
@@maverickwatchreviews😂
Is it really x5 less scratch resistant than steel? Like citizens sais
Is the band not removable? Because i kinda want a different one in mesh
All bands are removable if they use spring bars, don't worry. He's just saying that it's not a quick-release spring bar.
Can anyone, tell me, is Citizen's duratect really scratch-proof or scratches as easily as a titanium Casio?
Beautiful watch but too big for my wrist...
Can I double check that this has ar coating?
Yeah. Go to 2:44 and listen this time around.
👍

Do you hear yourself? Never buy an auto Swiss watch? 😂😂😂

You bought it at $270.00, it is currently at $312.00. Jomashop has it at a way better price. If it wasn't for the titanium, it is a $130.00 watch.
It would be 130 watch but it has sapphire crystal, titanium case and also eco drive is not just simple quartz. I think price is justified.
If it were steel instead of titanium, it would be better.
Just grabbed one for 135. First eco drive for me.
@@44musher from where ?
so over 5 minutes of specs, and no specs? what is the diameter, what is the L2L ?
Do you not see the specs in the description?

Yes
That clasp alone is a deal breaker, unfortunately 😢
I really hate the numbers. Way to bold
Its inspired by the tutor ranger
ugh.. eco drive. only citizen i care to own is their full lume auto diver
If you don't mind me asking, what's wrong with citizens
UuUUUYGHHH solar powered watches that last for fucking ever uuughHHhhhh muh high horology
Yup... Another automatic watch snob.
I also have the full lume but it kinda sucks compared to this one
Ihave a old model citizen watch for my father
