- Destiny 1 Prison of Elders Skolas Solo on Xbox 360 in 2023. Destiny 1 Prison of Elders is one of the best activities between Destiny 1 or Destiny 2 and the Skolas Fight is by far the most memorable. On a Warlock with an Exotic sword, anything is possible.

I wish d2 had a game mode with this kind of energy, I'd love an endless mode of this even if it didnt give great rewards.
Escalation protocol was the closest thing we had to that. I miss that mode so much
I was hoping that the infinite forest would be that. Before it released I was expecting it to be just an endless mode where the further you went, the harder the enemies got and the better loot you got. It would be awesome if they did a risk/reward system where every 5 level or something you got the option to keave with all your loot, or risk losing it all to keep going and get better loot. They even kind of did it with the old Halloween mode where you tried to get as far as you could in the time limit.

@@lonecalzone6901 well yes but it doesnt have some other things like modifiers, more "unique" mechanics, or more dificulty in general. (its also a 6-man activity but that doesnt matter)
Skolas has always been my favorite “lesser villain” in Destiny. His motivation, design, and boss fight are incredible.

The hype and excitement of getting your first Skolas clear was like none other.
Spawn into airlock, pop synth, wait 5 minutes, run out spam gjally, pop synth and pray he stun locks. PAIN PAIN PAIN
Absolutely wild they got D1 running on the 7th gen consoles with the level of fidelity it has, not to mention the number of enemies and all the effects popping off on screen at any given time. So many good memories of playing this game, still living it up with D2 but D1 will always have a special place in my heart.
Great job, can we all take a minute and appreciate how this game looks and runs being almost 10 years old running on a console that came out almost 20 years ago, excellent.

I still remember doing this on Arc Burn with 3 Four Horsemens and weapons of light and melting Skolas in like 10 seconds.
I don't know why but the feeling of nostalgia watching thses D1 videos hit me in a weird way. I stopped playing after 2 weeks when PoE came out and picked Destiny 2 up and still playing. But man PoE was so much fun I miss it

every time I play destiny on my xbox people come into my dms and just argue the fact that im playing the game that they say get a better game or you will not have a good experience with this game (which is impossible given the fact that I grew up playing this game on my xbox and I had a blast) and they say that your playing a dead game which is like ok I know this sometimes I want some alone time on a video game sometimes. Like I just don't know why these people can't just leave me alone to do my own thing.
I've also been considering buying the rest of the game so that I could have more fun which should be my decision to make I don't need other's opinions on my purchases.
But non the less these d1 vids are amazing and I enjoy watching them. keep up the great work november!!

i remember back when house of wolves first released you started at level 32 and the only way to get level 34 was by beating the prison of elders every week till you got the proper armor. and these boss fights were incredibly hard, especially under leveled. good times.
You have inspired me to play destiny 1 again and I've been playing for a few weeks now and after sweatcicle made a video on destiny 1 I'm hopeful it will make a comeback to give Bungie time to think about D2.

These videos inspired me to go back to D1 and of course my original ps4 died while installing. I really wish D2 had a mode similar to this. Obviously with stasis and strand PoE would be way too easy but a horde mode of some kind would be amazing.

I remember doing it day 1. Arc burn, arc weapons and trying to one phase before mines. Took hours since lfg people kept leaving.

I did this one not so long ago, soloed every version of prison of elders and still solo it a couple of times every week, I hope they bring it back in some way

If you wanna sword skate with Warlock tap A the second time to double jump and Right Bumper at the same time. Focus Burst Jump is recommended. It increases your movement speed by a good bit. Still won’t be quite as fast as Titan staking tho.

I think the rise of iron gauntlet lets you spawn heavy ammo after killing fallen enemies. I use bolt caster plus a high damage full auto scout rifle and shotgun to kill skolas quickly. After the servitor boss fight, the room should be filled with heavy ammo everywhere, then bolt cast the shit out of skolas

Man I really miss self resurrection.
I remember doing this the day it came out with my dad and it took over 2 hours (I missed a whole expansion so i was under leveled by a lot). I tried soloing it in 2021 but I couldn't get past round 4 because of the modifier.

Maybe if you actually used your sniper to deal damage to boss instead of primary weapon damage this would be fun to watch
Small arms is the modifier which makes the primary weapon deal significantly more damage, and it also makes special and heavy weapons do much less. Maybe if you knew that you wouldn’t have left this clueless comment.
I feel like Skolas is like Gally or Thorne or Oryx where their name just completely Transends Destiny

The worst part of D2 was when BUNGIE power crept fun out of the game. There's a lot to love about D2, but when I'm just travelling around doing activities, I always have something on in the background to keep me entertained, I would never dream of doing that in D1 becsause the game is engaging enough all on its own.
did this the first day it came out, not even with ghorn cause i didnt have it, i used black hammer sniper. anyway, i remember this being "so hard" for people only because you had to do 2 tasks, dismantle mnes and pass the debuff that killed you. Nowadays in d2 we have so many mechanics and people still ask for more and more saying the game is too easy -.-
