Audi RS4 AVANT B7 Quattro V8 4.2 F1 Pack: the UNLEASHED wagon!

- Here is our review of the Audi RS4 B7 (Typ 8E, 2006-2008) AVANT ( Wagon ) equipped with a V8 engine! The RS4 became available for European customers in mid-2006. It was presented at the North American International Auto Show in January 2006 and arrived in June 2006 in North America. The production run of the B7 RS4 was 2006 to 2008 inclusive, although only the 2007 and 2008 model years were sold in the United States. About 10,000 B7 RS4s were built, including about 2,000 in the United States. The BEFORE version (WAGON) has never seen the light of day here!
The 4.2 L (4,163 cc) 32v V8 engine in the B7 RS4 is based on the previous 4.2 L (4,163 cc) all-alloy V8 in the B6 S4, and shares many parts, as well as fuel injection fuel stratified, with the 4.2 FSI V8 engine in the Q7. The engine features a new cylinder block construction, and is a heavily reworked variant that likes to rev high (redline 8000 rpm; rev limit 8250 rpm).
The same engine base was used for the Audi R8 when the manufacturer chose to build its first supercar. However, the camshaft drive system was moved to the front of the block for the mid-engined R8.
Another notable development of the B7 RS4 was the introduction of the latest development of Audi's Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system. This used the Torsen "third generation" asymmetrical/dynamic center differential with a "default" front-to-rear torque split of 40:60 under normal conditions.
The F1 Pack adds Recaro benches, a sport mode and offers interesting responsiveness!

Pour une fois que nous avons des véhicules en Europe que vous n'avez pas en Amérique du Nord 😉.
Cette Audi RS est un dragster croisé avec une voiture de course.
Elle est très prisée des collectionneurs et pour cause (V8).

Pour vrai s'était la plus belle époque. V8 sans turbo. Le son était unique. Turbo cela, turbo ça, "Downsizing downsizing". Simplicité et la passion à leur meilleures.
La mélodie de ce V8 = WOW :)

Chez nous ces véhicules étaient souvent volés pour les go fast sur autoroute entre le sud et le nord de la France où comment traverser la France chargé et dans un train d’enfer 😏
