Full lock steering whine can go away with just changing the powersteering fluid, mine was totally black. New is green :) One of those never need to change audi oils :)
Really looking forward to watching the rest of the work on this B7 RS, mainly because im biased and own a Deep Pearl Green Avant 70k miles. I still have DRC suspension and have had all the pipework renewed last year, cost me a small fortune but i want to keep mine all original. DRC is sublime when working correctly too, its expensive but its fantastic. Anyway lads keep up the great work and love your videos on this car, really looking forward to seeing the engine strip and to see how much is wrong woth it, if anything. Keep up the great work, very informative and full of detail.
Fantastic content, so well explained the issues of today and potentially in the future. This is by no means a bad example, just shows what too expect from these cars if potentially purchasing one, love the channel👍
it's always good content; anyone who says it isn't, well, they need to try giving good content regarding mechanically sound investigation and delivery like this...
Really interested in this one as it’s like looking in a mirror as I have a b7 rs4 in sprint blue and although mine is lower mileage I bet my sub frame is in the same state ! Cant wait for the next videos guys
Great content as usual. I don’t think this is “average” condition for this car. It has clearly been neglected and badly maintained. Restoration costs will be similar to the value of the car! Looking forward to the outcome. 👍🏻
I have a 1.9q B6 avant and did a nut and bolt restoration of the rear end, got a brand new subframe off german ebay for £80!! The only thing that survived from the original car was the rear diff, and that got output shaft seals and serviced. The rear of these B6/B7 turn into a right mess if neglected. 370k miles on her now, front subframe is almost rotted out where the lower rear arms attach 😅
Will be an interesting series. Looking forward to an in depth resto. Now is the time to do the subframes looking at their condition. A clear under seal in its earlier years might have been a good idea?
I'm amazed you can do a test drive round Dudley in the day time.... normally bumper to bumper. Must have been during the school holidays😂 good to hear your honest assessment of the cars. Keep the content coming.. must mean Miraslav is doing all the work😜
Front jacking points look rusty as well- if you like a car and its rare you have to garage over winter in the uk- ive seen new parts rust just after one winter. Rge council chuck the salt on the road so they use all there stock so they get the same budget the next year. for salt
Is it wise to factor in £5k on top of any purchase price for immediate service/repair when considering on of these? Mindful that the B7rs4 and e92 M3 are a dying breed.
I definitely had to spend $5k USD when I purchased mine. Carbon Clean, injectors, spark plugs, coil packs and fluids were all immediately done. Some of the items were necessary and some were for my own peace of mind. Fuel injectors were the most expensive item as they were $2k USD for the parts alone. Purchased with 94k miles.
Watch the video on REP performance channels where they are chasing a smoking issue on an RS6. They changed everything, and still had occasional smoking, the cure only came when the oil pump was replaced. The reason given was that the pump was not scavenging the oil from the engine efficiently and it was getting into the turbo drains I think. 4k for an oil pump! 🤬🤬😳😳😳
Thanks for the awesome video, looking forward to the next parts. Quick question, do you recommend using BG MOA Advanced Formula engine oil additive to the 3.0T Supercharged petrol engine? I usually use Liqui Moly but I think I saw you recommend BG products in your videos and thanks in advance!
Now i regret that i made a apprenticeship in IT and not in mechanics… i would love to restore my 2008 b7 RS4… now i have to pay guys like him to take care of the car abd it coats a fortune
I really want a B7 RS4. Will be interesting to see how much this bill will be and whether buying one of the cheaper ones on autotrader is an option or suicide. Vibodnja.
Interesting series coming up. It’s true, if you want to keep an RS4 then difficult as a daily runner over winter as it’s eating away at it. It needs a coat of Lanogard on it after subframe is sand-blasted and painted. I’m asking myself is it worth it. Looks poverty specification, adaptive suspension gone, no panoramic and it’s not an Avant. Personally I’d bail and pump the money into another car. 🤕
@@Tunerfreak99 if the DRC system is looked after and working, its a fantastic system. The problem is it can be quite expensive to fix and thats where so many people do not want to put thier hands deep into their pockets to pay to correct it, such a shame.
It's mainly the sound from the engine bud. A 4 cylinder 2 litre engine just can't compare, also the RS4's still fast enough to put a smile on your face and looks fantastic. You can keep your golf.

If only there was more mechanics like you guys 👊🏻
I used to have a B7 and B8.5 RS4. Amazing cars but so service intensive.
That said, I’d probably have another 😂
Deserves some love that poor thing
Audi seem to have been really cheap and shitty in build quality for these years
@@JNAMOTORSPORTSyeah but it’s worth keeping these cars alive and well
Love the sound of these Audi V8s
looking forward to the next videos 👍👍
Great sounding engine I have this motor in my car and we look for tunnels to hear it 😊

You are amazing mechanic
it wouldn't be that bad if I owned it...car saw little love and was probably beat daily and put away wet... good luck.
Another great video. Thank you
Love the loud music. Keep it going
Looking forward to this.

5k is like must Have 😀
Good idea considering most ppl who drive these cars can’t afford proper maintenance. 😢
@@amoni1959 or road tax and insurance 😂

any update on C7 all road? really love that car
Very good content
Good Vids. I love the music you use. Who cares what they say
16:20 Is that lower oil pan made of steel, plastic or is it painted aluminum?
Steel
Very interesting video.
How difficult is finding parts for the RS4 B7 right now? Are there big difficulties for any particular component?
15% , suspension bushes , engine parts
Nice video! Thanks you! Got a question. How you gonna solve the problem with the rusty frame?
Who do you recommend to work on RS4 as good as you in the USA?

@@VAGTechnicThank you so much! I love the videos you guys make, excellent skills, wish you were in the US 😢
Was hoping to follow this series, but doesn't seem to be any more videos on it 😢
10 months later and still gathering parts 🤦♂️😪
Can't beat the old self lubricating chassis system.

I see a 4.0t beside the rs4… video soon?😊
Mine has just got to 100k and looks like this too. Shes away for winter for some serious maintenance.
Which do you think is the better/more reliable engine 3ltr supercharged or 4.2 V8 Na?
After so many years every one is different 😂
So glad I don’t live in a place with snow
So fast it makes the dials go blurry!!!
Turbo … 😂
Stunned that an Audi engine only lasts 108 thousand miles!
Thats Volkswagen for you my friend
Had plenty hit over 200k miles no issue's
How much does it cost to strip and rebuild an engine like this?
I really want a B7 RS4. Will be interesting to see how much this bill will be and whether buying one of the cheaper ones on autotrader is an option or suicide. Vibodnja.
My guess - a big bill, many, many, many pounds and lots of episodes with more Doggo in the next one 😁
There’s one on autotrader, 76,000 miles, some Audi service history, some independent, under £17k, no flat bottome steering wheel though!
Owner is heading for a very big bill, nice car though
I'd get the work done - end of - needs it to bring it back to former glory - can't run a beautiful car like this on beer money

Dread to think what the repair costs will be for that vehicle.🙈
Be a million pound😂
@@davidstocking1622 maybe 2 million if it needs another Audi special o ring somewhere 😂
My Mk6 Golf with 170k miles looks and drives brand new compared to this, what happened to it?
hahahaha.... "another five million pounds". Love it.
Matt Armstrong need ur help lads
VW corrosion can be bad …Waxoyl the subframes and suspension
Beyond me why anybody would dump money into that car, unless it's the original owner with sentimental value probably cheaper to ger something else.
you can get good ones from japan , but get ready 30+k
Hi! Could you recommend a good VAG service in Poland?
5 000 000 pounds for a subframe is nothing. xD XD
Damn newer audis are really terrible cars from maintenance prospective
Biggest drawnack with Audi compare to BMW is that subframe is made by steel.
Sandblast
Why do the owners bother with these old wannabe cars
A golf R can murder it for half the money new and zero risk
Golf R is Boring , also 2.0TSI is nice but can’t compare it with the RS4 .

B7 rs4 is very special car Love mine ❤️ summer car only it's mint golf R is for kids
Why do you joy ride customer cars ?? 70mph past a school zone, all on dash cam!!!!! Be very careful using these cowboys!!!!
I bought the worst audi a3 in the whole of yorkshire i think it been a pool car all its life
