I like the way yo present, strait forward and honest. Can I add just a little history about Push- Pull. If your film stock was 100 ISO but you wanted to rate it 200 ISO you would ask the lab to push it one stop. They would then leave your film in the developer for an extended length of time to compensate for the fact that you had in effect under exposed by one stop. On the other hand if you rated your film at 50 ISO you would instruct the lab to pull ( pull your film prematurely out of the developer) your film by one stop. Pushing and pulling did other things to your film other than allow you to under or over expose. It would alter contrast and cause the different colour sensitive layers to either converge or diverge. depending on the film stock. This would alter the resulting colours, usually in the hi-lights and shadows. This would not necessarily be the end of it. The print could be pushed or pulled. We don’t know how lucky we are, to be able to experiment as we do. If we make a mistake in grading, or the edit we can start again.
Thanks a lot!! Very interesting and it makes sense when you think about it. We are lucky to live in a time with all these possibilities on our fingertips aren’t we? Thanks for watching 😊⚡️
Thanks for taking the time to reply. It's funny how a lot of the terms we use are from times gone by. Clips, Cuts and Bins are just three off the top of my head. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for watching! I really appreciate it. I have total understanding that the price is hard to justify if editing is something you don’t make money from. There are alternatives though. In the new DaVinci resolve they have like a version of this for free. It’s not as good or realistic but it’ll take you 75% there I would say. It’s just lacking the realism that Dehancer gives you. Have fun editing 😊

Hi, I have a question regarding my camera, Panasonic HC-V180. What setting do i have to choose in Dehancer? Source, Camera, Vendor, Format? I cant find information on the internet about it.
Those camera profiles are for LOG formats. LOG is a very pale, greyish looking format that contains more information in the shadows/highlights. Im not an expert but I believe your camera doesn’t film in LOG. So in your case I would simply choose rec709 as the profile. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching and good luck 😊
