    Thank you SO much for addressing the subject of faux victimhood that’s running rampant in the U.S. With the subtlety (and sometimes not so subtlety) veiled threat of retaliation for even voicing doubts of someone’s claim, it’s good to know there’s a way to shed light on the truth. Your speaking out on this incident brings a bit of hope for people that don’t have a video to back their claim of innocence. Congratulations on your guts in always seeking the truth!

    I have just logged in and was happy to see a notification that you have posted, Peter! Highlight of my day, I am listening to "Can't hurt me, Master your mind and defeat the odds" By David Goggins. And I am journalling too, for my own mindset, so this "weak mind" is just where I am at at the moment. Really facinating at times how this all comes together sometimes. "I keep hearing" is my belief that he is "vigilent" to the word "N." The sensitivity and the vigilence is a day on day "personal" battle. So the "weak mind" in using "personally", is as you say a victim, and something that David Goggins has overcome in mastering the mind. The sensitivity is not to be trusted? I do believe he has formed and shaped an existing belief. (bias)

      @neitzschebabie 3 года назад +1

      @@hardinmichael1981 Words are important. And the difference between your family calling you a name and your boss calling you a name is different.
      My family can call me an “idiot” for example and I will laugh or call names back. It’s also my choice to be around people who do insult me and each other. But if my boss was to call me an “idiot” the implications and boundaries of this is different.
      I can’t retaliate, I can’t behave the way I normally behave because of the dynamics.
      Words are powerful, and we can see this in statement analysis. The word “N” is a word that has a lot of power. Rap music is not the religion of black people and is not the voice for the majority of black people. Rap music is a voice for those who feel marginalised in society and are trying to empower themselves in the country of plenty and where they have been dealt a hand of 2’s & 3’s.
      I would suggest you find another word that can so clearly define a “them or us” when you use it.
      And that is what it is about, as to who uses it.

    I think he used "personal-ly" so much because he needs to differentiate between himself and himself as an athlete maybe? "I personally kept hearing" just sounds wrong when you are talking about it because each time he is listening intently, so I think that explains the tense change. Supporting calling it "fake" really harms those who are living the hate and violence though... You may to personally believe it does not happen often, but see truth and not the stuff to insulate you from the brutal reality others are forced by your kin to live...

    1. Can someone have language problems like this if they suffer from abusive gaslighting for years and lack the confidence in asserting themselves? If so, then this is what they could have heard. 2. What if they have an auditory processing disorder/auditory discrimination (not to be confused with hearing)? People with this disorder often have trouble with clarity of language when people are not talking in front of them or if they are in noisy environments. Someone who has never had therapy for this disability before age 12, might not be able to distinguish words.

      I looked up this baseball player's statement and watched the video. I have an auditory processing disorder that was treated before age 12. In the video clip, I hear the "n-word," but the second time I hear the grandfather say it I hear "dinger." I can hear "dinger" because I had auditory therapy. While some people engage in deceitfulness like fake news for selfish reasons, I'm not so sure the player was trying to be deceitful. The "50 times in the past 15-16 hours' statement sounds over the top. It makes him sound like he is trying to win this argument, even though he screwed up. You can expect this from a pro baseball player who is conditioned to win.

    WHAT Can we learn from this statement?? Peter Hyatt took precious time to put out one of his highly-anticipated, (RARE) videos to give his opinion onnn-- whether a POC experiencing racism is “lying, actually”. Thanks Peter, as always, your SUBTEXT underlines your puritan-VVhite-colonialist attitudes and SUPREMIST priorities.
