I bought this album in 1976, and love watching people react to it 48 years later. Never gets old. Tom Scholz is a genius. Composer, instrumentalist, sound equipment builder, studio producer, perfectionist. This album blew our minds then and will be appreciated 48 years from now.
Tom Sholz basically made this album in his basement recording studio at home. He played most of the instruments, and Brad Delp did the vocals. EVERY song on this album is fire. One of the best rock albums ever.
Hopefully, you hear it on a real stereo with real speakers someday; THAT is the only way to really appreciate the power. And I don't really even like Boston...Good band but they just blended into the background in those days.....Those little headphones are like tying mosquitos to your ears...
I think what you're trying to say is that it took TALENT to be successful back then. Not like now where the "SAMPLE\ steal" from old music. Time to write some NEW music.
One of the best debut albums of ALL TIME.
