Why can't they test them and then let them off?

Kidnapping means, BEING HELD AGAINST YOUR WILL, file charges against the cruise ship companies and the government! Call attorneys with your cell phones and press charges against them!

I love how they think saying they are Americans is going to help them. Our government doesn’t give any more of a rats arse about it’s citizens than any other government in the world. The care about the top political class and the richest 1% . If you aren’t one of those, you’re wasting your time looking for their help

That’s insane. I bet at this point none of them have it. Let them go home now.

21 hours in a tiny cabin is rough. It seems at least they have internet. It probably is safer on a ship right now.

talon310calif Since they don’t have passengers why didn’t the cruise ship let them into the passenger rooms that were bigger and nicer.

Why can't they just let them disembark, and the govt makes it mandatory for 2 weeks in self quarantine in a hotel ?
and if the individual refuse, THEN they can refuse. That way it won't worry the people on land...

    • @evesdrop1982

Bum Kim they shouldn’t need quarantined at all at this point. They’ve literally been isolated for weeks. If they aren’t all already sick or dead they aren’t going to be.

They can leave. They just need to have private transportation home, which the cruise lines don’t want to provide because they’re too cheap.

They have been onboard without passengers isolated for over two weeks. Bring them home and make the crew's do a 14 day quarantine. The main reason is because these large cruise ships and their companies don't have anywhere to berth or dock these ships.

Screw that. I would upgrade my room to a luxury suite than the one assigned to me by the company. What are they going to do..kick me off. Fine me.

If they are Americans, then the government should not be denying their American rights to be able to go home. They have a right to come home. The government can allow all kinds of people into our country for asylum and give them homes, pay for them, protect them, yet our own hard working, tax paying citizens are denied any relief? If America can take care of people who aren't citizens, then it should never have a problem with caring for people who are citizens.

    • @alsenior06

America protects people who don’t pay taxes in the form of tax loop holes. In other words, rich people, most don’t pay their fair share and are protected more than lower and middle class Americans.
That same group of people have tricked you into thinking the problem is a bunch of poor immigrants.

Why would you not just quarantine them somewhere? Jesus you can't keep them on the ship forever the CDC is ridiculous! And the dude at the end is right he has a higher chance of getting it then giving it to someone. I hope now since states are opening back up they will be allowed to come home or at least get off the that danm ship!

    • @MattSezer
      @MattSezer 4 года назад +1

It’s not the CDC’s fault. It’s the cruise lines’ fault for refusing to following the CDC procedures for sending crew home because they don’t want to spend the money and would rather hold the crew captive while they try to negotiate with the CDC for a cheaper solution for them.

They are not in the comfort of there home for starters, also they are stuck in a tiny cabin. You are allowed to leave your home to go to the store, go outside they are only allowed outside one hour a day! They cant even choose what they eat! Huge difference between choosing to stay home and being forced to stay somewhere.

All maritime problems of this kind should be addressed to ITF.org and MLC.org or mlc@ilo.org likewise to have Cruise ships pay a fine for retraining of their crews against their will during this pandemic. Both countries and Cruise lines are part of this MLC-2006 conventions regulations.

They should come back home, we have a lot of people with Coronavirus walking around the cities without any responsibility to do and to add not wearing a mask, so let's give the chance to this crew members to come back home, they have suffered enough.

I would choose to stay on the ship if my ship isn't infected. It's like a free vacation and you are at zero risk of getting covid plus you don't have to pay for living expenses. There's so much stuff to do. It beats living at home where you need to pay for everything there isn't any recreational stuff to do and you need to still pay for food and utilities. Plus you could still hangout with friends and play games on the ship verses being isolated at home with limited contact from the outside world. Also risking covid every time you go out and get food.

I hope the cruise ship industry sinks because of the whole covid crisis. It was one of the biggest contributors leading to the spread of covid. How many ports of call were infected from the passengers. I hope that the cruise ships are turned away in the future.
