Trump is happy to lie to his supporters and fleece them of money under false pretences - no one rational is surprised at the lengths he will go to for his god - MONEY.
It still amazes me how many greedy US citizens wave bibles and lie and steal from their fellow citizens.
The cruise ship companies register in foreign countries for lower taxes, but then when they had financial problems like during the Great Recession or the COVID Pandemic, they asked for and got handouts from the US government! So they were always dishonest, long before COVID hit. I went on one cruise in my lifetime, many years ago. It was fun but not something worth doing again. I even moved to a city where the cruise ships dock. People would talk about some great deals they got on cruises, and they didn't need to fly to the ship. But it was not worth it to me.
Remember when Trump did not want these ships to land in the US.
