It was a cruise that should have been cancelled. When 2,700 holidaymakers boarded the Ruby Princess on March 8 for a round-tour of New Zealand, what they didn’t know was they were walking on to a floating petri dish that, hours before they’d stepped aboard, sick passengers from the previous tour had disembarked.
By the time the ship returned to Sydney in the early hours on March 19, the COVID-19 virus had spread rapidly through the ship. Yet all passengers were granted permission to come ashore and use any means of travel to return to their homes both in Australia and in many cases, overseas - no warnings of the dangers they faced, the peril on board, and the danger they now posed to the wider community.

I do plan the princess cruises they just a ship stuck in Japan they should temporarily suspended cruises and gave a full refund to all passengers
I'm sorry, but I will NEVER EVER go on ANY cruise, not after seeing this. And quite frankly, anyone who DOES cruise after seeing this needs their heads examined. Hey man, I was wary after the Norovirus outbreaks. NO THANK YOU!

I was wondering why we have the ruby princess in far away Prince Rupert bc Canada / Alaska / Sam Francisco right now . This boat is called the unwanted cruise ship .
The Ruby Princess has suffered further outbreaks since this one. Cruising resumed in the Carribean months ago and guess what happened? Cruising is starting up in Australia and new Zealand very soon. People in Napier are anxious as the Ruby Princess was the final NZ port before being recalled to Australia and one person died here.
I sorry for the people who suffered on that cruise. I reminded myself of precautions re airborn deadly virus, in December 2019. Luckily no covid, though isolating during first months of 2020 was hard. But gotta use commonsense re airborn transmission precautions.
Tragic loss of life's here and around the world. Taken to early from there family and loved ones.I thank god I and my family haven't had covid etc .Please people let's try and help deal covid best we can .

The Ruby Princess did not fly the “ Yellow “ Quarantine Flag .
That's sad about that poor man. And his family. Those people should sue the crisis ship the Rubby Princess.
I would like to go on a cruise but I well never go now these people only care about the bottom line not people look at the past these ships have bad records not for me sue sue sue waste no time get it done and hopefully you get a good lawyer

I was watching international news since November 2019 and was wondering why no one else was talking about the virus. By February 2020, we made a decision to cancel our cruise set for April 2020. We were reimbursed the full amount 2 months later.

Looking back to the pre-vaccine times, I remember how intensely scary it was with almost no information. And no available tests. This ship should never have docked.

Tough situation. The sad fact is this unfolded as we were all learning about the seriousness of COVID.
Towards the end of this, the interviewer is shown asking rapid in-depth questions. Sorry but the heated questions at that address were shot as cutaways used to cause a fluid exchange in news programs and fused together by edits.
Questions might have been asked, but the fluid heated questions as witnessed in this program with the executive did not look live, in my opinion.
Again, sadly, we all were exposed to an entirely new health crisis, globally. I hope many of those shown are experiencing healing in every way.❤

How can increase upper respiratory temperature?
May be even,,mask and bandana wearing,, increase upper respiratory temperature ?
And even after contamination, theoretically high mucouseal respiratory temperature can mitigate SARS COV2 infection.

Just got off the CARNIVAL Splendor. (Carnival is the parent company to Princess...)
Half the ship was sick at the end, I didn't see any sanitising by staff, the ship had about 8 hand sanitizer stations for guests, half were never working...
I tested positive when I dragged myself home. I'm disgusted that Carnival Corp hasn't learner any lessons and doesn't care for its staff and passengers.
I'm in my early 30's and I felt like I was going to die.

Costa didn't do better at the same moment in the caribbean. They lied, no covid onboard they said. Meanwhile onboard, passengers were sicked, no gel left in restaurants or Wc, they were selling paracetamol at a higher price, and when the ship was denied ports,the staff went to hide as the passengers were protesting Some of them died back home..Just google for videos and article Costa Covid Caribbean Martinique and Guadeloupe.
The cruise shop.industry is the worst ever. And compared to all the crooked cos out there thats saying something. (Even bf the pandemic)
