- VECTRON! We finally have a Vectron in Train Sim World with TSW4. Let me take you on a brief journey while we learn to set up the locomotive including safety systems and go for a cruise complete with a PZB recovery which was on purpose honest.

I drive the vectron in the netherlands almost daily with ERTMS
Awesome. Such a beast of a machine. I imagine it's fun in real life.
You absolutely need to use train brake while slowing; the electric brake is insufficient by itself for heavy freight. One major learning curve for me was to make sure train brake is released well before a final approach to a red. I had an Spad because the brake pipe hadn’t had a chance to fill across the train and didn’t have enough in the tank to stop in front of the signal.
That would depend on how heavily you'd used the air brake. You should be able to get three applications even while the brake pipe is recharging. The electric brake will slow the train but as you say it's not going to stop it.
Great video and brilliant explaining. What is not safe to release when that sign pops up when you are moving?
PZB is one of the safety systems. PZB always starts in "monitoring" mode where the driver is limited to 45km/h until they pass a green signal. If the driver knows the upcoming signal is green they can release from monitoring early.
7:20 With pzb, i heavily suggest braking as soon as the yellow light even comes into view; preferably, for such a demanding system, acting fast is the best
It does make the game easier, but IRL they drive to the breaking curve

The Vectron is the first foray into a more detailed train. There's a new higher level coming.
Number "1000" of the Vectron is in fact push-pulling passengers in my country. And has "1000" on the side of it in big numbers.
It would be a great locomotive for heavy passenger! I imagine someone will make a livery for it.

Hi, do you know how to control the lighting if there are multiple light locos in a consist? Ie. How do you turn the taillights of the trailing locomotive on?
Go to the cab of the loco and set it to signal lights instead of headlights then set the signal lights to red
@trainsimulatordriver yeh I worked it out thanks. I was thinking because in the light configuration selection screen it says "1st", you could change if to second ect
@@lachy4713great to hear it worked. IRL you might be able to do that but the game doesn't.
Do you know how to switch country for the vectron
I show the power screen early in this setup tutorial. To change it, open the MCB using the physical switch below the screen, drop the pantograph, open the power menu, use the cursor buttons on the screen to change selection then the E button on the screen to accept it. Raise the pantograph and close the MCB.
is there a way to remove that 200 kmh safety speed limit on the train and make it faster
Not that I'm aware of in the same way the loco will refuse in real life
Why when i couple a Vectron to a BR 182, the BR 182’s power just goes away
Not all locomotives are set to multiple unit. Some of them will turn into a carriage when you do it because there not compatible.
Useful video, thanks. How do you get the speedometer screen to shift into the middle? It’s annoying where it is on the right.
By the way you were in PZB Mode M, which allows you to gallop up to 120 km/h rather than 100, which is the limit for Mide U. Wow!
I've been having fun with it in PZB Passenger mode. Proper speedy freight ;). As to how to move the screens, I've seen it done but will need to crank up the game to figure it out.
Found it. On the top right hand corner of the screen is a button labelled UD in the tool tips with a double ended arrow. Press this to cycle the available display types on that screen.

good morning, I have a problem when I start the vectron, it shakes, don't you know what I'm doing?
What do you mean it shakes? Are you following the same steps I do? What train service/scenario and what game platform?
@@trainsimulatordriver when I drive or set off sometimes the pickup axle shakes pantograf wipers, service austria germany sometimes free roam I play on xbox one
