The element silver has long been recognized for its health benefits, even before the specific pathogens it combats were identified. For over 6,000 years, silver has played a medicinal role in human history.
Historically, silver was employed to treat burns and wounds and to purify drinking water. Royalty frequently used silver flatware, plates, and cups, as it was believed these items reduced the risk of illness and disease.
However, with the advent of antibiotics, silver's role in mainstream medicine waned. Yet, among proponents of alternative health treatments, its use persisted for addressing bacterial, viral, and fungal infections. Recently, there's been a resurgence in recognizing silver's efficacy, especially in burn and wound dressings.
Silver offers protection against a wide array of pathogens. Notably, it can be utilized both internally and externally, including in the ears, eyes, nose, and mouth. Given its versatile applications, it's a valuable addition to any natural remedy collection. Producing homemade colloidal silver has gained traction among holistic health enthusiasts, primarily due to its proven track record and cost-effectiveness.
Here's a closer look at what colloidal silver is and its properties:
Over the years, colloidal silver has garnered attention for its range of potential health benefits. Rooted in ancient practices and carried forward into alternative medicine, this solution has been used to tackle many health issues. Below are some of the acclaimed benefits of colloidal silver:
1. Antibacterial Properties
One of the most widely recognized attributes of colloidal silver is its ability to combat harmful bacteria. Historically, before the advent of modern antibiotics, silver was used to disinfect wounds and prevent infection.
2. Antiviral Effects
Some proponents suggest that colloidal silver can help neutralize certain viruses, although comprehensive scientific evidence in this domain is still emerging.
3. Anti-inflammatory Benefits
Evidence suggests that colloidal silver can reduce swelling, speed up healing, and boost cell recovery, making it useful for treating burns, wounds, and other inflammatory conditions.
4. Skin Health
Thanks to its antimicrobial properties, colloidal silver has been incorporated into skincare routines to treat conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis.
5. Sinusitis Relief
Colloidal silver can be used as a nasal spray to help relieve symptoms of sinusitis due to its antimicrobial properties.
6. Cold and Flu
7. Water Purification
Historically, silver has been used for water purification. Dropping colloidal silver into water storage can prevent bacterial growth, ensuring safer consumption.
8. Fungal Infections
Colloidal silver is sometimes used topically to treat fungal infections like athlete's foot or ringworm.
External Applications of Colloidal Silver
Colloidal silver is a versatile, natural remedy for various external applications. Its clean, nearly tasteless nature ensures a hassle-free usage experience.
1. Ear Drops
For ear-related discomforts, such as infections or aches, colloidal silver can serve as a soothing solution. Administer 5-10 drops in each affected ear multiple times throughout the day as required.
2. Eye Drops
Combat pink eye (conjunctivitis) with colloidal silver by using it as an eye drop. However, limit its application to twice daily for a duration of two days. If symptoms persist, it's advisable to explore alternative treatments.
3. Inhalation
To address coughs, pour colloidal silver into an unused nasal spray container. Direct the spray towards the back of the throat and inhale sharply. For best results, administer at least three sprays in succession several times a day.
5. Gargle
Relieve a sore throat or symptoms of tonsillitis by gargling with colloidal silver. Repeat this procedure multiple times a day, or as often as you find necessary.
6. Mouth Rinse
For improved oral hygiene and to counteract the bacteria causing bad breath, swish colloidal silver around in your mouth.
7. Spray
Colloidal silver's natural antibiotic properties make it a prime candidate for spraying directly onto wounds. It's also potent against topical fungal afflictions, such as ringworm and athlete's foot.
8. Poultice
To alleviate the discomfort from bee stings or localized skin infections, create a colloidal silver poultice. Drench a sterile cloth with it, and fasten it to the affected region using a bandage.

Brilliant! Thank you for sharing this easy method...ordering silver today!
Thanks a lot
Over two years only showering in distilled water. I am looking forward to adding this to my routine.
I’m so thrilled to find you ! 🎉
Thank you for your information ! I’m a nature’s and alternative lover🕵️♀️. Thank 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 ! you again
I wish I can do what you did.. but ..I got a 4 Oz bottle of 50O ppm, a pharmaceutical grade supplement .. but I’m not sure how to use it, I mean to be safe…. Any sugestión ? Thank U 🌟
Where do you get that kit? The ones I’m finding are over $259 usd !!!
I am learning about CS.
A point occurred to me:
The higher the voltage the larger the size of the silver particles.
Speed is not always good - I have more confidence in using 12V for a longer period (90 mins for 8oz jar with 6 inch wires) & expecting smaller particles, ones that my body can more easily utilise.
Crystal clear is good - you can use a lazer to see the suspended particles.
Yellow just means you have large particles.
interesting points. thanks. Ive not had anything drop out of solution. I use the same bottles for both the 25ppm and the 10ppm for the last 8-10 years. no sign of precipitates.
How much ppm u get after 90 min
Hello my friend. 25pp is it good to use for internal, or I only can consume 6pp for internal use? Thanks 🎉
personally- I use 25ppm daily but I would never suggest you do - cos there is a law that stops me
is it possible to use silver coins as electrodes ?
yes it is - but ensure that they are pure silver first and do not let the copper wire or the clips touch the liquid. also because of the huge surface area it will go like crazy! spend $25 on a TDS meter so you can monitor it.
Hello and thank you for your video. Before I watched your video I got bought an adjustable 24v (max 5A) ac/dc power supply. I put my coffee pot on the hot plate with distilled water and let it warm all the way up for about an hour before starting. I used 99.99 silver 14 gauge rods at about 1' apart. I let this run for 90 minutes at 24v and i only got a 9ppm reading. I left it for another 2 hours. I got a 21ppm reading before and after straining. I'm wondering why did it take so long? Is it because it was a large batch? It ended up making 1.5 Liters. The color was a beautiful crystal clear pale gold. I'm wondering if it's safe to consume. I have been watching other videos where people are using aerators for bubbling, then they're using an electrolyte solution. Then after the initial brew, they call it ionic silver and then proceed to change it to colloidal silver by adding a "reducing agent" comprised of Karo syrup and water 50/50 mixture. I'd like to think the way you are making it is just fine as it is very similar to the way I made mine. Mine just took a lot longer but I also had a lot more water to start. You have also been using your CS for decades which I take comfort in knowing! Thanks for your help and advice in advance!
I never like the idea of using Faro syrup! No need to add anything that changed the chemical structure.
Speed is not important.
I admit ignorance on how to understand amps vs voltage, I am simply focused on having low 12v output because I understand that is how you get smaller particle size. Large particles I believe give the colour, so crystal clear is exactly what your body can best utilise.
how much do you drink daily of that 25ppm water?
I only use the 25ppm when I need to. eg- on wounds or for toothache the lower strength I use as a mouthwash twice per day.
Have a belated question so hope you see this. I read somewhere you have to oxygenate it otherwise its not safe to drink.
Is this true or just companies covering their butt? By the way thnks for your very wide ranging and informative videos.
Hey thanks Rachele, re the oxygenation: I always read the label on CS for sale commercially cos I want to know if they are offering over 10ppm - which would be 'illegal' lol. ve never seen oxygenation mentioned. Im pretty sure a teespoon of 'unoxygenatd' water per day would not be dangerous. Ive been taking it for 30 years - and Im still dangerous!
Okay. Totally off topic, but what is that hand cranked grinder on the wall? A coffee grinder?
yes- dutch and older than me
I spotted the same! 👍🏻
How do you get around? The fact that distilled water is not a conductor of electricity?
Starting the process is incredibly slow for most setups. Then the electrolysis effect expands exponentially. What I do to speed things up- is heat up the water and use a more powerful transformer than many others. Using my set up on one litre of 60C water I get to 10ppm in 17 minutes and 25ppm takes about 25mins.
Hi, I'm french, so,... I hope you will understand my " english"😅
If I understand, you divide the transformer wire in two and connect each part on each of the two rods, am I correct ?🤔
yes, the two wires have a silver rod attached to each one. you swap the rods over after each use because only the +ve rod is sacrificial. this ensures even wear on the rods.
Ever test the dissolved solids in plastic "drinking water" bottles?
I'm wondering if microplastics would register on a meter.
something is registering on the meter. several bought 'distilled' water brands have between 9-12ppm . thats why I have my own distiller which gives me zero.
@@t.h.o.r. I am looking into best steam distillers - they all have carbon filters so I question how it works - the whole point of steam (I thought) was that you got pure H20?? Wouldn't carbon deposit stuff into the finished product anyhow?
I am veering towards buying a stove top distiller because of this!
Can you send a link for good steam distiller? What do you say about the product of 'ZeroWater'? Is it good enough water for this target?
My mum has a generator here and I are going to make 40 L of 1000 parts per million colloidal silver after Easter weekend
40 liters! thats wild!
My mums been making it for 20 years. Magic stuff alrite.. we still need to raise our PH to slow down the nanotechnology but CS is the best
Are the colloidal silver do that like protection from 5g stuff
It will probably help you get better when you get radiation poisoning from the 5G. It's the first antibiotic kind of thing but it didn't have anything to do with the Rothschild so it didn't make it to the NPCs. It's magic cuts Burns spraying in your eyes put it in your ears drink it make gel out of it and use it for sexual lubricant if you want
Very dangerous! 1000ppm
no way... Research over toxicity. If can leave you with a permanent blue skin coloration! In the early 1900's they found this out.
Hiya... What gauge of silver wire should I buy & does it 'wear out' with use?... Cheers... Trev 😇
Hi Trev I bought my rods years back. they last well if you reverse conections each time you use it, cos only one wears. mine are 1.6mm 99.9 pure silver. larger diameter works faster cos of more surface area. Make sure you only use 99.9% pure. current best price in NZ is $50 here- www.healthhouse.co.nz/product/silver-rods
You only need one silver rod, as long as you wire it up as anode. The cathode can be copper. A silver bullion coin is fine such as 1oz Candian Maple.
@@breeze3956 Now that is interesting info and of course correct. Your other comment is bunk!
Test your silver and prove it, you'll be surprised. At least you're actually making a better colloidal silver than others, and what you can buy at the shops. It is partially colloidal Just not 25 ppm. The clear stuff is ionic which is ok on exterior, but shouldn't really be drunk as it's highly reactive and will just react with your cells forming Silver salts.
It should be a deep yellow, the yellow is due to the refraction of light from the particles, the more particles the yellower it is, to max of 20ppm before the silver clumps together and falls out.
So run the negative wire to the coin and positive to the copper? Then sink the coin. That right? @@breeze3956
Where can I find what he used in the water??? Can anyone help please ❤
Im not sure what you mean - please clarify
Do u have a list of the supplies u use n another video??? Thanks for this video. Your process looks stunningly easy...i think I could do this 😂😂😂
A list of supplies!? - well, the 22 volt transformer came out of my 'useful box' as did the connector strip. the distilled water is from my distiller and the 99.9% pure silver rods were from a reputable supplier on the internet. It is all so easy. watch my other videos on the subject and you will see that temp, volume, volts, amps all contribute to the mix and your results will be different to mine. you must learn what works for you then stick with it. Ive made bad batches in the past through not paying attention or changing the volume made. Its just like making a good cup of tea. You will soon get it right and the rods last for years. I swap them about each time to get even wear.
@@t.h.o.r. 🙏 Thank U. I will try this after I gather the supplies. Will watch your other videos on this subject too!
How do you know what a bad batch is and do they need to be tossed - as in they’re no longer safe?
@@kristamanahan8114 It goes grey and cloudy if it is exposed to light or heat
@@kristamanahan8114 safe to use topically, just would not drink it
Not being an expert, but the quicker the creation means larger and not as good of silver particles with a slower process.
even making 25ppm ive not had any drop out of solution. I know several people cleverer than me who do the same. Im in constant contact with other users. I have good books on the subject from trusted authors like Amandha Volmer, Barbara O'Neil and MaxCrarer
Couldn’t the distilled water heating up in a household jug get contaminated by scale, etc in the jug?
Definitly! if you are drinking contaminated water you should not put distilled water into your jug! it will strip the built up minerals and metals and contaminate the brew. Neither should you be boiling water in a plastic jug. Personally, good water is my passion. I have NEVER relied on municipal water supply- ALL my water is fresh filtered ozonated rainwater. I use two small tanks and clean them on a two monthly rotation as I empty them. Everyone should be collecting rain water, testing it, then filtering and treating it appropriately. So few people care what is in their water- they just blindly trust their councils. see my Harvesting rain water playlist ruclips.net/p/PLyv0yXw8MSrHX8gMYK68dsCsP_N6Bqzs-&si=EuXvBQcRF0CxXhdD
By the way.... are you THE Carolyn Robinson that is significant to me?
@@t.h.o.r. Goodness, how many of us are there. No, I am in Tasman, old as the hills and probably drinking contaminated water off our roof. All that shite from the skies that we are so “blessed” with is probably falling on it. Time to remedy that. Thanks.
Where do I find the transformer?
I used a 27 volt laptop power supply. you can use any DC supply but the times will vary depending on the power you use
@@t.h.o.r. thank you kindly 👍💕
My rods turn black and look like smoke coming off of them, any advice mate?
this is normally , you only cleaning silver rod every 30 mins ,
I've made this before, but this time it turned cloudy I'm using 3 9 volt batteries, distilled water.
I strained through a cheesecloth but cloudy, last batch I did was a nice golden color, what did I do wrong this time?
cloudy is caused by contaminants in the water. a silvery grey?
@t.h.o.r. ya probably water, is distilled but older, thanks for the reply!
@@Natural-Health. I use a tds meter and a pH meter on all my water supplies regularly. It doesnt give all the info you need but its an indication that there could be problems.

Being a hippie does not mean you have to have long hair it's all about your love man.
I doubt you're making 25ppm, as you are measuring Total dissolved solids, not silver content. You can't make it more than 20ppm anyway as the silver just drops out of solution. It looks more like 1%. You've introduced contaminants from the jug. Have you ever had it assayed at a lab to confirm.
For everyone else you can buy distilled water from supermarket easily enough.
You're right about most things though.
Did you check distilled water after it comes out of jug? I've been making it correctly for 12 years. Good on you for trying
Yes Ive been 'trying' for 30 years- perhaps one day I will be as good as you. Im amazed that you can watch a video and somehow 'see' that mine is 1%. by the way, percent is not how its measured. - but you would know that.
