I’m listening to this on 20th Oct 2023. Two weeks ago a massacre took place in Israel with a surprised attack from the terrorist group Hamas killing thousands and taking hundreds of hostages. As you described the horror of what Yeshua prophesied in the fall of AD 70 and with particular description of women whose babies were ripped from the womb, these were the stories that have come out of the horror of this October 2023 attack. My heart breaks for Israel and the innocent lives in Gaza, we keep praying for God’s mercy and salvation upon all. Blessings Dr Woods to you and your family and congregation.
And now, oh how things continue to escalate at what seems like both a lightning pace, but then there’s so much more to come even before we’re not here for Jesus tells us very clearly He will keep us from the hour that is to come. I look for Him at any time. That prophecy is imminent, and I look up with great joy in my heart! I come back to so many of Dr. A’s teachings because they are always fruitful, always wonderful to hear them again and again. @@johnalexander6315 that would be 74+ weeks which doesn't fit the prophecy. You might dislike Jews, but 70 weeks it is about Daniels people and the Holy City both of which have a remaining week to play out aka Jacobs Trouble. Since 1948 the desolate has had Jews poured back into it's self if you like it or not.
The other beautiful reason that God perfectly uses gaps in prophecy, even making it look as if there is no gap; is because he is showing Israel that they truly had the opportunity to opportunity to accept Jesus as their messiah at his first coming. Had they accepted Jesus the kingdom would have been instituted immediately. God in his foreknowledge knew that they would reject him, but had he chosen to not prophesy with a gap it would have been seen as they had no real choice to make but that it was foreordained or predetermined that they would reject him. In prophesying with a gap God both tells the truth of the Jews rejection but also allows that the Jews had a choice to accept him. God is infinitely brilliant. The jews can never come back to God at the judgment and say, "see, I never had a choice...it was written in stone." No it was written in such a way that it could have been immediate and was offered as immediate, but the prophecy shows in hindsight that it would be rejected
"For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." Galatians 3:26-29 How do you reconcile this text?
I have a question. If Jesus fulfilled the first Daniel prophecy on Palm Sunday, don't you think He would take up where He left off on Palm Sunday, the rapture of the Church with another Triumphal entry and then start the Final week?
Jesus is coming back like a LION; with the Full Wrath of God. Read and study the book of Revelation with Andy Woods. The Second Coming of Christ is on the Mount of Olives, the whole valley will split and God destroys the enemies of Israel at Armageddon: Then Jesus Christ sits on the throne of David in Jerusalem, Satan is bound and 1000 year reign begins.
Daniel Uses the same words as Isaiah. Isaiah 53:8 ...for HE was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgressions of MY people was HE stricken. I also see that Daniel 9 is answering who Isaiah 53 is speaking of. Daniel starts off saying He was going to make am end to sin. The same is written in Isaiah 53. An we can see Daniel tells us the answer to whom Isaiah is speaking of. Which I think is important because this tells the Jews& Gentiles who Isaiah was speaking of.. .Jews tell me Isaiah is talking about Israel, then I say Isn't. (for my people) Israel? Then they tell me its speaking about Isaiah. All I do is point to Daniel 9 because Daniel answers this ..Their certainly is a lot of information given to us in these 4 verses.. The 2000 year gap is first found in Joshua 3:4-13 about 2000 cubits (years) from the testimony of the Ark pases by all Isreal aka CHRIST visitation until Isreal is placed in motion to finish the 70th week.
So Andy woods says that Jesus did not stop the sacrifices ignoring the fact the veil was torn, and by simple deduction did not die for anyone’s sin??? That is false teaching. Jesus died on the cross to put an end to sin, future and past. Also why did you FAIL to explain verse 26, oh I know, because when one reads the verse grammatically the “he” is Jesus unless you enjoy confusing Jesus with anti Christ. Please read your Bible, and stop teaching a false doctrine. Jesus Christ died for our sins, or do you do animal sacrifices in your church? See point 35:00 for where he says the Blasphemy

JESUS fulfilled the 69th week Resurrection Sunday not the entry on a colt.

And where is the evidence of this in the Bible, you need more than one reference for correct hermeneutics

He frequently references 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 in his teachings so he does acknowledge that Jesus died on the cross for our sins
