To be honest, I got excited when I saw this video. I had seen others before, but I really appreciated Mitch's perspective, knowledge, and ability to make decks work. So, of course, when I saw this I was excited to see what Mitch did when the limiter was completed removed. Even if it was a sliver deck. Much to my chagrin, it was just another video where people jammed barely functional, expensive cards into the 99 and called it a "deck" with a price tag. I was hoping before I even started the video that Tabernacle wasn't in the list because, even though expensive, it doesn't do much for slivers. Tl;dr I would really just once like to see a "most expensive """deck"""" list that is an operable deck and not just price tags crammed into sleeves. Inb4 that's the joke. I would've been able to appreciate the satire in this video if not for a previous video in which Mitch wants to ban cards just because they're expensive. Not because they're oppressive or unfair, but simply due to them being expensive like Mana Crypt and the dual lands. In that video there was a serious conversation, unlike this clearly joking expression. There is no reason to ban dual lands since they aren't oppressive in the slightest. The reason they're expensive is supply/demand since they're on the Reserved List. Even channels and players who have them advise against buying them to build decks because they're not necessary. Even so, if you want to buy them or trade into them it's a good investment since their value will never decrease. If you don't have them, there are plenty of budget substitutes. That effort to spend the better part of an hour discussing the banning of cards simply because of their price on the secondary market begs the question as to whether the underlying thought/intent in this video is the same. This video seems to be a harsh and baseless criticism towards those who invest more in their hobby than others. And not even the investment, a lot of players have been playing the game for a very long time and simply had the cards without spending a fortune on them. However, netdecking is a plague to the secondary market. Formats like Modern and Standard explode the prices of cards due to netdecking. If a card is key to the strategy of a Tier 1 deck in Modern, that will make it incredibly expensive, and thus not that viable to acquire for a Commander player. Same for Standard. When new sets come out, it's hard to buy cards for Commander until they rotate out and then drop in price. I could appreciate this level of satire for formats like Modern and Legacy where you have to invest a ridiculous amount of money in decks in order to be able to survive in competitive tournaments. There's also an insane level of netdecking - even in Standard (just look at Oko). However, just because Commander is a casual format that doesn't mean people have to only play cheap cards. If someone has the means or the cards they shouldn't be attacked for running them. No one mocks players running cheap or budget cards or even precons. Yet players who invest more in the hobby are constantly being attacked or even harassed for playing expensive cards. I really liked this channel because it showcased very accessible decks and provided a solid way to run them. It also took out all of the work for anyone because any view is one click away from acquiring the deck card-by-card. I could appreciate that for those players who are starting off in the format. I really like this format so the more people playing it the better. But it seems that now it has degenerated into a channel that criticizes anyone running cards they can afford that others can't. Where anyone who wants to invest more in their hobbies than others should be attacked. I thought that 1hr long podcast-type video was an isolated thing but now it seems I'm terribly mistaken. It feels like this is just the beginning. Now that channel has grown beyond 0.1M subscribers it seems like it has the courage to express the need to borderline insult people who play with expensive cards - and not even expensive cards like The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale. Playing the legal moxen, fetchlands, and dual lands shouldn't make you a pariah. Not everyone who plays these cards are ***holes. cEDH is a style of playing Commander that includes most of these choice cards because it's a more competitive way of playing with more spiky players and you need consistent mana bases and you need efficient answers and sometimes those answer are $30-, $50-, or even $70-cards. And I've played with semi-competitive players as well and they've been great. Some even have more casual decks when playing in pods where the other players don't have such powerful cards. I've had better experiences playing with these types of players than more "casual" players since they can read the pod and simply play with a deck that's more or less on the same power level as the rest of the table. However, even when playing with a casual deck, I'm getting dirty looks and disdainful comments in a casual pod just because I play a Misty Rainforest into a Volcanic Island. As if somehow that is the play that's going to win me the game. As if just because there's $500 in those 2 cards alone I'm going to automatically win. Nevermind that the deck isn't even semi-competitive. Playing dual lands makes me a douchebag. It's ridiculous. I've gotten more shit from "casual" commander players than semi-competitive of cEDH players simply because they started the game too late to have been able to buy/trade for dual lands or fetchlands back when they were affordable. As if it's somehow my fault that they can't acquire Underground Sea. Newsflash: you don't need an Underground Sea. Your deck runs just fine without it. But just because it costs $500 now when it was barely $100 in 2012 and some players were able to purchase them for even less then that, doesn't mean that they're above anyone else. Hardly anyone plays like that. And, chances are, if they do, no one's going to want to play with them. It's sad to see that this is what this channel has come to. Commander is a format that's supposed to be fun and friendly. A format for people tired of the competitiveness of Standard and Modern who want to be able to play with literally dozens of thousands of cards. It's supposed to be a welcoming format where everyone should be invited to play due to the multiplayer aspect of it. Yet, whereas no other channel mocks or insults budget players, this channel feels the need to call for a ban of expensive cards just for being expensive as well as insulting players who play relatively accessible cards. Granted, personally I would never be able to buy any card over $200 and there's a high likelihood I won't (I played a lot of Standard so I had a ton of shocklands and fetchlands that I was fortunate enough to trade/sell into the dual lands and moxen I have). So I'm not buying The Abyss or Moat anytime soon (nor will I ever). Also, I'm pretty sure that's the reality for over 90% of other commander players. However, I feel no envy or resentment towards players with deep pockets nor players who played the game so long they practically playtested Alpha. That says a lot about people. At the end of the day it's a trading card game and if someone wants to invest thousands of dollars a year in it, that's their prerogative. If others can only afford a $25 deck a month then at least they'd be building 12 decks a year.

I wasnt sure about this video. But once you said "we've already won because we have the most money" and "Rich Keep Ramping" I was dying with laughter.
... Holy shit, I just remembered I have one Serra's Sanctum from like twenty eons ago...
After this video, I started scouring through my old-ass cards and found treasures untold where I didn't even know I had 'em xD
Said it awhile back, I thought you be good at Voice Over work. And this episode proved my point:) thanks again Mitch. I mean... Maximilian!
This video is perfection!😂 Accent is fantastic. Love your stuff Mitch.
Well played. Tea time was the perfect addition.
I had a long week, this is exactly what I wanted to see this evening. Thanks for the laughs!
I'm disappointed that you didn't say "The average Sliver Queen deck is only worth X Dollars, while this exquisite deck will cost you $25,212.30!"
When I saw the TCG checkout Success! We love saving you money, I can only imagine Maximillian scoffing at such a suggestion.
This was gold please we need more of things like this
