    I am always fascinated to see how different and interesting things are from the air. I've never really spent much time around trains, but seeing them from above with all the lines, patterns, movement, and colors give me an entirely new perspective. Thanks for watching!

      Jeff, just sent an email to you, I think, and hope you get it.
      I've lived in KC most of my life, and have driven by the train yards thousands of times but never thought of recording them. I like you like to see a different perspective from the air, so I'm going to try it too. Also going to try and get permission to fly downtown where there are a lot of interesting buildings to capture. Let me know the next time you plan on coming to KC.

      @@timdks Thanks for the info Tim, would definitely enjoy meeting up. I am out that way every 2-4 months it seems. Let me know how it works getting permission, and i'll do the same next time.

    Nice! KC is the second biggest freight rail hub in the country and a big place for railfanning (if you don't get rousted by security and the police). Argentine is BNSF's largest installation in the area and it is truly massive. I think it's actually like the second biggest yard in the country behind UP Bailey in North Platte Nebraska.

    Kansas City, Kansas Argentine Yard is the second largest overall rail hub behind Chicago and this is the largest yard in BNSF's system, which contains a lot of jumbo yards from the AT&SF as well as BN and SP days, all or parts of which were folded into their current operations. If you want some other big ones, look up Corwith in Chicago, or the Intermodal complex in Joliet. Thank you to show this un that interesting way

    Hi Jeff, I loved the rail yard video and great filing & editing, I was flying in a sensitive place and I phoned up air traffic control and thay were very helpful and gave me permission to fly.

    That is a mighty load of trains Jeff! Great spot! If I were you I'd just ring the control tower and ask them. Tell them you're only going up to around 200 feet or so and when you're flying and they're usually pretty happy you even called them..... And, do you ever sleep? Your vids always pop up around 11am UK time which is around 5 - 6am Eastern / Central time :) Anyway, catch up soon, Cheers, Ian in London

      Hi Ian, ha ha, i don't sleep as much as i should. Got to get it done before work pulls my focus away. I'll try giving the tower a call next time, b/c it really would be an interesting location to fly. Cheers Jeff from Raleigh!

    You realize you can be charged with a felony for this video??? You don't fly drones over private railroad property...... big no no.

    • @Scorges1
      @Scorges1 4 года назад

      Yeah man. FRA or BNSF would've been requested this content be pulled and they haven't already my guess they won't. However yes flying drones over any yard of any kind is a felony if caught
