I sold my 2002 this past Sunday April 21st 2024 this documentary is much more important and special to me now! Thank you everyone, it was a fantastic and memorable journey.
Outstanding automobile young man! I know you were disappointed, but you handled yourself with class. That in itself makes you a winner! Keep on movin' on.😊
Well that was an hour and a half WELL SPENT
This event was incredible. Fantastic documentary not just about cars, but about the people too.
This is best of show. It touches the soul of an old „luftgekühlt“ Porsche enthusiast from Munich Germany !
I had the honor of having a small part in helping my brother in law restore a 1956 GMC pickup.
It started out with 2 junkyard trucks made into one.
Both looked like they should have gone to the scrap yard long ago.
5 Years later when we took it to his first car show and won best in show, best truck, and best 4 wheel drive!
He was so proud I think he slept with all his awards in bed with him. :)
Just seeing a Mercedes W123 in the mix was comforting.
Good on Jay Leno for getting young people without a pile of money in a swanky car show! =)
"Got to win like a champion. . And loose like a champion". 1:17:59 Worth every second, fantastic! Kins Regards
This documentary truly captures the essence of what it means to be a car enthusiast. The stories and the history, all mesh and come together under one spectacular event. Cinematography is excellent too. Can't wait for the 2021 Concours!! Such a unique event to see on the east coast!
Great film...the story of Mac and his dad really choked me up...all the stories of a father and son working together on a project hit me in the heart in a warm way...reminding me of my dad and I working on my 1965 MGB I bought with my own money at 15 years old, getting it ready for my 16th birthday and my driver's license...it truly summed up what my love of cars is all about...emotions, memories and passion for all things CAR...❤💯
The Corvair guy was really great.
Superb documentary.. All these folks worked so hard & long. Bless them all...
absolute gem of a video
The best quote that sums it all up...
"Cars tend to build really great friendships... when you're in a car club, nobody really cares about what you do for a living, it's about what is the car, when did you buy the car and how much garage space do you have..."
As much as I love the cars, it's always the stories, especially when the cars create an experience and bond for family members that can never be replaced or replicated, that truly gets to me! Owning a BMW 2002 myself, it was hard not to feel the disappointment with the young man who did not place. Thanks for the great content and upload!
To Uncle Jay and Mr Donald... This was a unique and uplifting experience. I enjoyed it immensely. Thank you .
What a production!!!! Bravo
Awesome! Fantastic place to hold this event, I’ve had approximately 250 cars in 37 years, at this time I’m driving a 1970 Buick Gran Sport.
Fantastic video! Well done!
I wish to thank you for sharing this awesome car video with me .
This in undoubtedly my favorite RUclips video of all time! Thank You Very Much
Just wanted to say absolutely a brilliant documentary ! I must say that I do concourse shows with my father-in-law with our 21 Marmon speedster . And you captured the essence of what a concord show is all about. thank you so glad that I ran across this !!
Nice. Very nice to see an Audrain video that's more than a few minutes. Beautiful state and stunning surroundings.😀
Extremely well put-together documentary telling the story of the event and some of the drivers. Excited to attend the Concours this fall
Lovely stories...
Excellent presentation.
Fortunate to grow up in Newport RI~ I remember sitting on my Dad's lap~ my hands on the steering wheel~ age 7 going down Bellevue Ave in our 1957 Plymouth! The RUclips video was extremely well done. Grateful that the Concours d'Elegance is held here!
This was so well put together. 👏 My family chuckles, of so many destinations to vacation. My dream would be Newport. Jazz & Cars!
This great documantary deserves a prise too. One of the best videos on cars I have seen this year for sure. And I am sure I will watch it again and again in future. You have made something really fantastic. Jay and Donald are cool men. At 29:44 you have a footage from a ukrainian school library, that's cute))
Superb piece of work gentlemen. You covered all the bases with totally diverse automobiles and even more diverse people. Car people are the nicest in the world, seldom the most polished but always kind and reverent. The kid and Osborne are classy - I'm a Packard and pre-war Chrysler guy myself.
At the end of the day, it’s all about the people. The cars are what bring us together.
Thank you for watching, we couldn't agree more!
Outstanding guys and gals . Just a beautiful event.
I was stationed in Newport three separate times while in the USN. Bought a 1959 Alfa Spider from a gentleman without an engine....Hauled it back to NC when discharged and installed a 327-375 engine with a weind crossram intake with two 650 Holley carbs and a Muncie tranny in her. She was a memorable auto....and very fast.
Stunning locations. Beautiful town with beautiful car enthusiasts. Every car story was touching and meaningful. It reminded me of all the cars I have loved through the years.
Great Story. I will be there next week for sure.
Love the Concours d'Elegance events
We are looking forward to our first time attending one of these in about a month, I am glad there was a story about the 30/30 display. Very touching and meaningful
Thank you!!
Wonderfully done. It's so true that cars bring great people together. A big thank you to all the volunteers behind the scenes that make wonderful events like yours happen! I will be there and I am looking very foward to it!
That was fantastic thank you very very much Brian from Melbourne Australia
A greatly put together film with some amazing cinematography! Can’t wait to see what this years concours has in store!!
Great effort. Howver there are times judges just make one wonder.
Great production....thank you for these stories.
This is by far one of the most wonderful and motivating car videos that I have ever seen.
Such great personalities, and stunning cars. Gives me motivation to keep going on my restoration.
Thank you- I will make Newport my goal to compete in someday.
Nicely done.
Wifes name and pic. Wonderful event, automobiles, people and their adventures and stories put together so well. What a dream come true just to be invited to this fine gathering to have so many others enjoy your passion.

Let's all SUBSCRIBE! This channel deserves more than 21K. (Disclaimer: I'm not associated with this site, just a automotive enthusiast.)
Thank you for your support!
What a wonderful presentation. The passion, the unity. No expense spared, every dollar worried over. Young, old, one common bond. Just great. 👍👍
Love the Allard's...
Excellent narration and visual storytelling. Great feel-good movie.
Probably one of the very best videos I have ever seen on RUclips thank you so much thank you one and all
Wonderful and inspirational film. #hellofromcanada
Very well made. The morning sun hitting the parked cars looked spectacular
Fantastic stuff
This was awesome to watch❤️ Seeing the cars come over the bridge was presented in a way that really made my heart sing. Well done. My dad’s first car was a white Thunderbird that he always talked about. Until now I never thought much about my first car but it was a 1978 Firebird Formula, brown with black racing stripes and louvers on the back windows. It was pretty special.
Thank you for enjoying our film!
30/30 …..🏆
Gratzie….Jay!
If you didn't attend, no problem, I would think this video captures the full experience and then some. So nicely done, so terrific all the people competing and their stories, so grateful to the perfectly chosen people running this event. Greetings from Canada, and a huge thank you - this more than made my day.
Great stuff all around. Especially the young enthusiasts
Donald, It's odd since I love history of all things that I never considered cars in the same exact way as you mentioned in your opening lines of this video. You're right. I might not be an equal enthusiast to you with cars but I still love them. I recall my favorite car of all time, but never owned one, but have been driven in it. A '65 Thunderbird. Also a college professor once found me admiring his parked Jaguar several times and gave me an unforgettable ride. It spurred a friendly conversation and rapport sorely needed in college when studying was hard. My uncle was an entusiast, always trying something new. A Buick Riviera, a Cadillac, a Lincoln, etc. Another friend drove that odd looking french car with odd back end, can't spell it. He also gave rides in his black atransAm with the hot wheels and firebird on the hood. I learned driving at early 15 in grandad's Chevy pickup, era late 50s, stick shift and clutch. Drive circles around a dug out hole we called a cattle tank on west Texas ranches.
You're right how life centers much around cars. Even manhood does. Not refrigerators. Thanks for all your wonderful hard work. Thanks also to letting Jay be part of the museum videos you and him make. You two are hard not to watch and learn history from. I love history and stories.
Great video!!
A pleasure to see.
Great car show.
Always wondered what behind the scenes was like in history etc. Excellent!!! Great vid!!
wonderful, and to have Jay Leno in is awesome. So nice he found immediately with Donald a new center of interest and activities.Just hope he keeps the Burbank garage going on
No worries about Jay & his garage & that show. Jay has 180 cars, nearly 200 motorcycles and 5 warehouses which are interconnected next to the Burbank airport. And he's been friends with Donald Osborne for decades.
@@Vampirebear13 and I know all this for decades as well
Beautiful and so emotional documentation. Almost a fantastic movie. Made with so much passion. Thank you. One day I’ll have to come over from Germany to visit this beautiful event.
Wonderful documentary! Hit my first Amelia Island this year and had attended The Elegance at Hershey every year while it ran but this looks like a great one to add to the bucket list!!
Excellent documentary
JC is the only one that can keep us all from hell get on the Winning team
This video was so beautifully put together, As a new museum member I can't wait to attend my first motor week this October!

Elegant video production
p.s., wonder if they'll add motorcycles, trucks and tractors in the future ?
🏆👍✌️🏁
Motorcycles were added to our Concours this year!
Good stuff. Wish I could have gone. Couldn't get the time off from work. Hope there is one this fall.
We are having the 2021 Concours Sep 30 - Oct 3. More information at www.audrainconcours.com/
Thanks Mom
Thanks,good show, & ideas……….
This is fantastic. Kudos for such a fine film.
Cool kid!!
The Breakers at Newport,RI. Been there !
I really thought the red 75 BMW was better than the orange one that won , but I guess that’s why I’m not the judge !
Shout out to my buddy, Luis Mariano Munyoz, who's done something similar in Plaza Las Americas PR
14:55 Great and significant idea. So much cooler than the hideous ridiculous modern hypercars.
We marvel in our intelligence and creativity, not realizing that our gratitude is misdirected and instead, focused on our destruction. I have spoken
Your narrative is interesting though it lacking in a lot of context and frame of reference. It needs more embellishment for it to resonate.
The Jaguar guy keeps saying "2.4" but it's a "3.4". I hope he didn't make that mistake when talking to the Judges. LOL.
Those bikes hanging in the garage at 34 mins seemed a bit shaky!!
Great owner though.
Picking the winner in a classic car show is opinion is a poodle better than a Labrador in a Dog Show ?
What state was this event held ?
Newport, Rhode Island
What is the name of the tune at the beginning of the program ?
"Clair de Lune" by Claude Debussy
Thanks a million. Of course, Clair de Lune!!!

Sorry Coleman, you didn't spend enough money in the under 30 under $30,000 restoration class, I mean ... DOH!!! You might have had a shot if you had spent $100k on your $30k restoration, it's a good life lesson learned for a young man, better luck next time ... Who the F' are these judges, anyway? Nobody, that is why these kinds of events are BS.
They ended up giving him an award anyway. You didn’t watch it all the way to the end.
@@GrotrianSeiler Coleman would never have received his pity party and participation ribbon if we hadn't been watching my friend ...
Fat cats fest.
Money and wealth, what's new.
Is it tradition not to get out of the car to accept the best in show trophy?
It just keeps the flow of the show moving along
Great Video!!
