We lived there for over three years, and seeing your video reminded me of a lot of good times. Next time you should check out Cootie Brown's in Downtown Johnson City. Amazing Pizza! Definitely a local institution alongside the Firehouse. The only downside to the video was that I didn't get to see my favorite, Pal's Cheesy Tots!
My daughter works at a Pal’s. Great establishment. Always clean & workers wear masks & have temp taken when they come into work. She prefers their “Razzy” tea! Great video, btw!
Really enjoyed this video. I'm from Elizabethton and I've never eaten at Sammons either! Now live Decatur Illinois and have been watching the train videos
Pals hot dogs and hamburgers are better if you tell them not to steam the buns, they over do that. Also tell them to add spicy mustard, they normally don't put it on your iteam.
@@bksync4566 yeah its the same a bit. the three brothers broke into separate restaurants due to wanting to create interesting ideas and larger menus. So there's two types of giovannis and also portobello now
I am from east tn but not were this stuff is this is in the try cities i live in knoxville but my grandma lives in Johnson city so i get to go up their
I lived in that area of Tennessee during my college years and a few years after, and NO, those are in NO WAY the "best places to eat in East Tennessee", and NO, we college students do NOT go to those places because they serve nothing but pure junk. A better title for this video would be "Most Unhealthy Places to Eat in East Tennessee." Four restaurants, four big meals, and not a speck of healthy food in sight. Not even one vegetable. No -- fries are not vegetables. Who could keep their energy up during a trip while eating that garbage??? By the way, THE college hangout in East Tennessee has always been Perkins, because it's open late and they have student discounts that can be pretty big, depending on the school. Of course it's still mostly junk food, so most students wouldn't actually eat, just get coffee or a soda and hang out with friends.
I'm from East Tennessee, born and raised. Good to see my old stomping grounds. Makes me homesick.
We went to college there!
Me too!

That sounds great. We love the food there and the employees are always so well mannered.

So remote that I can never go here. Great to see these amazing restaurants.
Nah not that remote. They were using the back roads. All of these are off the 26 interstate
Also it was mostly Elizabethton. They are a small town. These are all over the tri cities. Pals is all over northeast tn
I also recommend pal's as well !

Aww y'all make me miss home and my mama. Should try Giovanni and Sims in Boone's creek

San an east Tennessean, I basically live off Pals
Have a good day .đồ ăn ngon quá bạn
Although everyone is entitled to their opinion, the fact remains that Pal's burgers are made of soy and not fresh ground beef.
Locations?
I think they are all in Johnson City, TN

I'll drive 1 hour out of my way to eat at a Pals.
Totally worth it!
Just moved to east TN from Socal and Pal's is the only burger place I will ever admit is as good or better than In N Out
Neat video (although the music was driving me crazy). Not a good idea to watch when I was hungry. ;)
How ya gonna eat a Chili Dog WITHOUT cheese twice? 🙄🙄
Hot dog plain with chili, that's been my order at Pal's for over 25 years!
Fire restaurant not in Knoxville
Where is the best fried chicken in East Tennessee?
Nicks in Kingsport
