Thanks for your detailed review!
Glad it was helpful!
Just had a clinic today, and I'm going to demo this paddle, along with a Diadem Icon and Electrum Pro tomorrow. I keep hearing about some defects in the other two tho, so I'm pretty excited to try this one out!
everyone loves the Pursuit, wish I could demo one. But honestly, I dig the look of this paddle too. Hopefully it feels good!
@@kuribohftk1300 Nice, I'm glad you have a few options to demo, that goes a long way.
Thanks for your detailed review! I play a Selkirk S2 prime and am looking to upgrade. Would the Vanguard 2.0 S2 be more or less powerful than my current paddle given the same weight?
To be honest, I haven't played with a Selkirk Prime paddle before. But looking at the specs of the S2 Prime I would guess that you would get a little more power from the Prime. However, the Vanguards will give you better control and more forgiveness. You can always add weight to the head of the paddle to give yourself some extra power. If you've never added any weight before I'd be happy to message with you on my Pickleball Effect Instagram account about how much and where to put it to get the results you want.
By chance, have you used the Paddletek Tempest Reign Pro? If so, how does it compare to the Vanguard Invikta 2.0?
I've played wtih it though I haven't done a complete review. They are both control focused paddles and play pretty similar, but you'll get a little more spin with the Vanguard.
What paddle (s) have the most spin ability and then combine that with some decent power?
Thake a look at the Engage Pursuit paddles. These paddles score high in both power and spin, plus they have a few shape and weight options to choose from. Check out my review for more details, pickleballeffect.com/equipment-reviews/engage-pursuit-pickleball-paddle-review/.
Which paddles would you recommend with more attacking ability?
I think the Engage Pursuit paddles are the best power paddles out there right now, but there are a few other good ones. You can check out my list of the best power paddles here, pickleballeffect.com/hot-list/.
I know Selkirk has a very good lifetime warranty. If I were to buy this paddle and it started to chip would I be able to use the warranty to get it replaced? Or does their warranty not cover cosmetic defects?
I just look it up on their site and it says "Normal wear and tear, damage caused by abuse, negligence or user modification, chips to the top or sides of edgeless paddles, and the natural breakdown or fading of graphics over extended use are not covered."
@@pickleballeffect Thank you for answering
@@courtlandgaba4037 I got you
Vanguard vs amped which one would you buy?
Depends. Vanguard is more forgiving and very control oriented. The Amped will give you a little more power but isn’t as forgiving. I personally prefer the Vanguard.
