    This is awesome dual screen monitor. I love mine personally. I trade the markets and it is perfect for all that i need. I absolutely love it when connecting to gaming consoles as well. Awesome product for sure !!

    I'm gonna be honest, every gripe you have seems like... insanely arbitrary or as if you were searching for SOMETHING to be upset about.. each one is either obvious or a stretch, like running two pcs on this.. never once did this cross my mind as an issue. Stickers? Really? To me, slap the X model in a nice road case, and this is the PERFECT portable office rig.

      I have to be honest. I thought the same thing. It sounds like he was looking for every little thing to say something bad. I don't understand. This is not an unbiased review. An unbiased review would say, "hey this is not necessarily the product that I would use but here are the pros and cons" and then let people decide if they buy or not. Part of reviewing is finding the use for stuff that probably won't fit in our normal day to day or our needs. But it is still a fair and unbiased review.

    This would make so much more sense if the built-in dock had switching, or could accept dual video input over a single USB-C connection (i.e., Thunderbolt), or if it was height adjustable, or, or, or... like you suggest throughout the review, it doesn't quite seem to get there. Feels like the company is slapping the components already available in their supply chain (add-on screens for laptops) into a new desktop product, but without enough polish. Maybe that's the problem. Much more logical to put two monitors on a commodity vertical mount and get a Thunderbolt docking station, if you even need the latter.

    Really good, informative review. I like the monitors Idea, but like you said in the review, there's just too many draw backs to see it as a viable option.

    it works brilliant as a set up for coding. and as inspiration for what more we would like to see.

    Thanks for the review. I suppose in some limited use cases this could be an interesting find. I'm curious could you use the top monitor as a TV if you ran a source to the HDMI port? I can't see why it wouldn't work, but it's usually the things you can't see that get ya lol.

      For some reason I can't edit my original post so I had to do a reply. Anyway, if you are using this with a desktop computer most video cards today have one HDMI port and 3 Display ports. So I'm wondering if a passive Display port to HDMI converter would work with this?

    seems like they missed a trick by not offering a 90 degree rotation option.

      Surely the added mechanical complexity was the issue here. It's too obvious not to have been included.

    Weird that you mention the vertical mount as a drawback. That is exactly the feature that draws me to this. Easy to buy a horizontal dual mount but vertical options are very limited. See the ergo dualup and the yogabook 9i for other companies in this space. The biggest miss is not having the bottom screen be touch input capable since that's the screen that is in reach

    Hi, thanks for the review. Can the hub be used without connecting the Geminos to Ethernet?
    Also, can you use the Geminos with an Android device via a separate hub or USB C?

    • @MakeUseOf
      @MakeUseOf  Год назад +1

      Yes, and yes. Ethernet is not required - just the usb c for hub connectivity. The Android also needs to support video out over usb c of course.

    Are the monitor's not touch-screens? If they were, there might be some interesting use cases. Otherwise, what is the point?

    • @MakeUseOf
      @MakeUseOf  9 месяцев назад

      There are two versions - one where the bottom screen is touch enabled, and this one, where it isn't. And yes, I agree.

      @@MakeUseOf it's very negative from the get go, almost sounds bitter for some reason, like the manufacturer wronged you in some profound way. I almost stopped watching but wanted to see if you would mention ANYTHING positive about the setup.
