I, too love the Peaches and Cream cotton yarn. I had previously planned to focus on granny squares for stress relief and figure out what to do with them later. Good video. I liked the Japanese granny square bag.

@cortisslynnette1604 Hello my dear. I'm so glad I put this video out right when you needed it. I know what you mean, I've struggled a little myself with my crojo. Hi Tess, new subscriber here! I love your channel! My mom just went home with the angels on February this year.😞 I took care of her for three years. I miss her very much. I am still grieving and going back to Crochet little by little. I have thought about getting my crojo back and your vídeo makes so much sense! Thank you for all the ideas 💡. All I have done lately are a bucket hat, a bandanna, and right now I’m working on a second bucket hat. None of them were made with granny squares, but I think that is a wonderful idea for getting my love of crochet 🧶 back. Thanks for sharing

Hi Aurora! Oh goodness, welcome to my little RUclips family. I am tickled pink to have you here!
I'm so sorry you are dealing with grief right now, dear. It's so hard to lose your mom. I lost my mom almost five years ago, and it still hurts because I miss her so much. I have a stepmom that I am caring for right now. I know how that goes as well. I bet you don't know what to do with yourself half the time now. Hang in there, dear, it does get a little better with time. Getting your crocodile back will definitely help you. Keep working on those projects and start making some granny squares. Hugs! 😍

I love granny squares and agree with you. I’m a new subscriber and learned granny squares as a kid. I tried doing a blanket with an unfamiliar yarn in new stitches that just wasn’t coming out right so I set it aside. And like you, my fall back when I get frustrated is a break doing granny squares. I also like that as long as you get plenty of your background or outer ring color for each square, you don’t have to worry as much about running out of colors because you can make all different colors or color schemes which is nice because ai end up buying either too much or not enough yarn when I want to make a blanket in another stitching sometimes. And I like that I don’t get as bored because I can make a lot of different kinds of squares.

I love granny squares! I'm not crazy about putting thenm together. I made my granddaughter a duster length vest last year. It was a big hit. I usually send most of my granny squares to Lottie at Enjoying the Journey, Cancer as a Lifestyle. Here on RUclips. She loves putting them together as blankets for her ministry.

Hi Tess, I love this video! It has been such an inspiration to me. I think I've seen it 4 time already. I love diagrams too.I was starting to make a fall throw blanket I've been wanting to make but I just wasn't into it. Then I saw this video. There is a pattern for a granny square I have held onto for years. I have experimented with color combinations an have 5 squares made.
I have selected the colors I want to use, shopped my stash,, and my autumn gold colored hook is ready to go. Thank you, Tess, for being such a wonderful inspiration to me and to others.

How long would it be too much time to take off crocheting when you’ve lost your crojo? It’s been about two months or maybe more for me. I want to start again but I’ve never liked granny squares and not made them although I have a lot of saved videos on them. I am a “permanent” beginner and late diagnosed autistic older woman too, and when I get a burnout or shutdown it’s really hard to get back into anything. It’s like my hands and brain fight each other. But I have some “peaches and concrete” yarn that I may start doing kitchen stuff with 😊.
