This is EXACTLY what I’ve spent years wanting to see from Esoteric! Been a fan and following for quite awhile. This is wholeheartedly appreciated!
Thanks to those like you who have watched everything we do over the years, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
My mind instantly goes to "how you scaled a high end quality driven business?" Truly something to be admired!
Thank you!
Holy cow! You know this will behind the scenes of the Harvard of Detailing! Thanks for putting this on Esoteric crew.
Thanks, and glad you liked it!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻thanks for cutting this Coop! lots of nuggets... possible new building 🤦🏻♂️👌🏻😎 new cars in the collection... you're not retiring anytime soon😂 appreciate the look in👊🏻
Glad you liked it!
How in the name of ( insert your favorite deity here) did I miss this when it came out a year ago? Awesome video and shows how one can take the love of a clean car and transform it into a successful business! Todd.. you're an inspiration to all of clean car fanatics!
Thank you kindly, and glad you enjoyed the video!
I really enjoy these types of videos
Thank you for sharing this video of a day in the life at Esoteric ! The shop is busier than I ever imagined which makes it all the more amazing that you are able to take the time to create videos for your YT subscribers/viewers. Esoteric has the opportunity to work on some amazing and beautiful cars and, with all the business, it looks like Esoteric has some highly satisfied customers.
Thank you for such kind feedback! We thought that people would be surprised at just how busy we are, and how much movement goes on in the shop each and every day. Hopefully we can do more of these!
WOW…That was awesome Todd!! Thanks so much! I’d love to work there but I live in Florida so maybe you should consider opening another shop down here!! Lots of nice fancy cars here!!
Really enjoyed this video. Thanks for taking the time to make it.
Awesome format
👍 Great Behind the scenes. A product distribution and the process of order fulfillment will be nice to see. We can possibly learn a few steps I'm sure .
Great video keep them coming.
One of the best ! LOVE you're KEF speakers 💪👍
Thanks! If you like those, you'll love my Sonus fabers I have at home. Follow me on instagram @toddcooperider and you can see what those are all about!
@@Esotericdetail yes Tod they make a colab with Maserati on they're MC20 😉👍. Pretty sure one of best in car speakers
Great video!
The behind-the-scenes definitely puts it in perspective on how much is involved, how many quality people you need to make things work and just how much dedication it takes. Of course you're going to have ups and downs with everything but definitely appreciate seeing this and it's eye-opening what a high-end shop deals with. Always been a fan of the channel and really enjoy content like this! Can only imagine how much you have to clear to pay everyone but that is the secret sauce you learn overtime.
Thank you for such positive feedback. Yes, it really becomes a large machine over time that requires constant maintenance. But for us, keeping our focus on the customer and our original goals of top-level performance and service has helped to guide us to the high level we are operating at.
Got some great passionate workers there doing a terrific job for the customers.
Thanks for sharing.
Indeed we do...thank you!
Very nice and clean shop. Congrats!
Great in depth behind scenes video! And nothing better than Floyd first thing in morning to get ya moving and ready for the day. Saw them in Detroit in 94. By far best show even seen live. Just wish was old enough to have seen them with Roger
Thanks, and agreed! I saw them a few times post-Roger Waters, but also saw Roger a few times solo. Great shows nonetheless.
Todd, thank you for putting this video together, excited to see all the vehicles being worked in the shop.
Also, hearing you’re a Pink Floyd fan, I’ll show my age; I had the pleasure of seeing Pink Floyd / David Gilmore around 30 times worldwide.
I run 5-miles every day with Pink Floyd playing through my earbuds.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I'm jealous that you got to see them that much. We have a handful of guys here at the shop who are Pink Floyd fans, and I'm doing my best to expose the young guys here to as much of it as possible. I've only seen them twice in concert, and Roger Waters twice as well. But they've been my only favorite band since I was a teenager!
Great video! Thank you for sharing! 🔥
Thanks for watching!
Hahaha awesome video here! ! Shout out to my Brother Jordan aka the gloss doctor!!! ✊✊
Glad you liked it, as well as seeing Jordan making his appearance!
@@Esotericdetail 🤜🤛 upmost respect for what you all are putting out there my friend!!✊
Awesome video. Really enjoyed seeing the behind the scenes.
I would love a video showing your growth over the years, how it started and how you grew.
Also, could you make a video about the reality of running a shop? Budget? Pros and cons, etc.
Love your work!!
Always love to see behind the scenes of any small business. Thank you for the content, please try to include something like this from time to time.
Thank you, and based on the response, I'm sure we'll be doing more of this.
Loved the day in the life video! Would love to see more 👍🏼
This is gonna be awesome! My hobby is wash cars of my friends and make them shiny (without polish) and there's a lot of stuff to show! I would love to watch how you fixing some issues in car wash, decontamination and etc before polish :)
I could handle being around Supercars, glossy panels, & Pink Floyd all day. Great video, Jordan needs more screen time! Looking forward to the next one.
Thank you...we'll see if we can get Jordan on camera more often!
Proud to be on the wall of fame!
That was one of our first "big" events...great crew in that photo!
Great Video as always.
Thank you!
Awesome video. Todd trained me a few years ago, since then I opened my own company. I still dream of having a shop like his with the type of clients.

Fantastic! Can't wait to attend a training course 2022!
Todd, can you post a video about taping off a car for detailing/polishing: when it's necessary or not necessary, how to's and related info.
Thanks!!
We hope to see you here in the future for training! As for taping, we do have a video or two on that subject!
Love the video! Was awesome to see some of those cars in this video in person..(Sian, Ford GT and I believe the BMW SUV.) my cousin had his C8 done by you guys a couple weeks ago. Was a please to meet the crew and see it all!
Thanks Kaden!
Let’s see a detail on the LC 500 at 9:50 mark!
Fantastic video !
Thanks Kelvin, and hope all is well with you.
Love your car 🚗!
Thank you!
Как все красиво и круто. Молодцы.
Amazing. A Dream to a business run like this
Thank you!
Peter from the U.K. here. Just subscribed....enjoyed the video. Interesting re PPF - seems as in all things in life there are good ways of applying and bad ways. My car here in the UK has PPF applied from pre-cut templates but I have learnt that maybe that's not always great as the PPF does not seamlessly go around bonnet and door shut returns on pre-cut patterned templates.
Thanks for the subscribe! There's nothing wrong with pre-cut templates, as long as the install quality is good. Also, the templates (patterns) can be modified so that the edges extend in order to tuck them in wherever possible.
I would watch a show about it 🤷🏻♂️
👋 Jordan 😎
This was Awesome!!! How do you wash outside when it is raining or very hot or cold ? Any advice ?
Thank you. As for washing outdoors, you get wet, you get cold, and you get hot...
Yo Todd...great video on a day in the life of Esoteric. BTW, I noticed not one car cover on any of the cars that were finished & waiting for pickup and/or being stored. Is there an Esoteric video I missed on car covers being taboo?
Thank you. Unless somebody brings us their brand-new-condition cover, we do not use them. Most of these cars are getting coated, and I wouldn't recommend applying a (very high quality) cover for at least a week.
Hey Todd, After doing a paint correction I've seen some vehicles that have such a mirror shine it's almost blinding. In doing so are they removing all of the clearcoat and actually polishing the paint? I've seen some that after finishing there is no orange peel whatsoever. I just don't see how just by polishing the clearcoat you could achieve those kind of results. I've noticed some people do wet sanding to have those kind of results but no way in hell would I ever wet sand my car. Because in the long run you're just asking for trouble. Great video by the way. Thank you.
Removing orange peel on factory painted cars is a big no-no. Yes, you can get insane shine and reflectivity by simply polishing the clear coat and not removing orange peel. If you were to remove all of the clear coat, the paint underneath would be more of a dull finish. Glad you liked the video.
I see the LS50 in your office. I have 2 pairs and I like one pair better than the other.
Edit: you just mentioned them after I made my post. LOL. Mine are wired
Good speakers. I also have a pair of Dynaudio Special Forty in my small home system, and Sonus faber Serafino Tradition in the big system.
@@Esotericdetail very nice, Todd. I just sold some Focal Kanta N2 and not sure what will replace them.
Hi Tod . i enjoyed your behind the scenes video. Can you tell me what compound you used on the Black Merced Bens ???
Jescar Correcting Compound. www.esotericcarcare.com/jescar-correcting-compound/
I own a small detail and tint shop. The shop is at the point where we need to hire. I'm hoping to better my work/life balance.
What advice do you have for hiring your first employees? How do you maintain a quality work / life balance?
What PPF would you recommend for headlights?
It depends on the car, as some headlights don't like film on them. But having said that, we use Xpel on our cars.
Do you disconnect the batteries when the cars come in?
No we do not...
I'm guessing the whole shop has a/c because of the need for no dust/dirt ?
Correct, it is completely climate controlled.
Where do you recommend going to learn how to do detailing correctly online?
You're in the right place as we have a tremendous amount of educational content here on our channel. Other than that, we also have a training program that we have been doing for a decade now, and more information can be found here: www.esotericcarcare.com/training/
What % of all your PPF jobs are full PPF on the entire vehicle?
I don't know the exact percentage, but I can tell you that we do a tremendous amount of them!
The shoemakers son walks barefoot and Todd “Coupe-rider” has a dirty car 😉 its normal
never heard of a high end detail place that details cars partly.......leave them outside......and then finish them. sounds like a carpenter taking a job and leaving mid job to go work on other jobs. car should be inside once you start it till its completely finished.
In a perfect world where you have tons of space, and time to do an immediate handoff from one department to the next, yes. In a case like this, the car would get washed again after PPF, then back inside for finish detailing. Being outside has zero effect on the finished product. It's a non-issue.
Great video!!!
Thank you!
