It looks so much more comedic in the storyboard version and I love it, absolutely beautiful how these boards turn into being a stop motion animation. Laika you never disappoint me
When will LAIKA create something new? Something interesting, exciting and beautiful (as you guys are good at). Or will we continue to review these short episodes from films that we have already watched several times?
You’ve gotta understand that they make stop motion movies, which are INCREDIBLY time consuming. I heard they’ve got something in the works so please be patient.
@@homersimpson2882 Can I find out where you got the information about the new LAIKA projects? There is nothing new on their website, and RUclips shows only segments from old movies. I have immense respect for the work of animators and I fully understand how much time such work takes. But what I see here doesn't look like a preparation for something new. It's more like agony. It's like someone is trying to earn the last cents on the former glory of the studio. It's sad and I don't want to look at it. I really hope that I'm wrong and they will delight the audience with many cool projects, as they know how.
@@Andrew_M784 They're just posting videos to keep the hype alive and hopefully get picked up by the algorythm so they can gain a bigger following. What's a creative without a social media presence these days? Nothing. A quick google search would inform you that they've got two confirmed projects, the next one being titled "Wildwood" for which Travis Knight, the CEO, has already chosen the voice cast. Source: A 2 second google search and an article by IndieWire. Have a nice evening.
@@henrylivingstone2971 The demonstration of a small fragment of the film is called a teaser or trailer. ...it has been the case for a long time. And usually this only fuels interest in a new project.
When he's shaking hands in the drawings it looks funny

But if they showed their progress, it would ruin the movie.
