With the large fan base that Coraline has gathered over the years plus nostalgic value would make a new Coraline movie easily a box office hit. This revenue generated would give more freedom to once again create new one off movies. It would definitely be more risky to continue creating one off movies as was shown with Missing Link but if the attention thst would come with Coraline 2 would definitely make people would pay much more attention to future Laika produced films.
