Don't y'all apologize for spending time with your children and supporting them. They're only young once. It's great that you two are such loving and devoted parents. That's one of the many reasons I love you guys and your channel. We'll be here when you get back to us.😊
A hidden gem in the Cranberries discography - most only know Zombie and maybe 1 of their other hits. Love the line "So take my hands and come with me, we will change reality".
There's a part in their song "Daffodil Lament" that makes me cry every single time, where the song switches from being sad and melancholy talking about a dying relationship -- when it switches with a sudden sharp outburst of four words, the last one being an absolute gut punch. Dolores exclaimes "I can't sleep HERE!". The song is such a journey! that outburst seems to suggest a final straw, and an epiphony before the third section comes in with a sweeter melody that suggests acceptance and moving on with one's life "...and the daffodils look lovely today" Man, what a talent. The other band members too! The drummer is very underrated imo.
My Grandfather was from Limerick. Proud to have people from the same place as Delores. I was a street away from her the day she died. I would have loved to have met her.
More rock bands with female vocalists to check out are (from the 90s) Garbage - stupid girl, only happy when it rains, queer, I think I’m paranoid, #1 crush, push it, special; (from the 80s) Missing persons - words, walking in l.a., destination unknown; Lone justice - shelter, ways to be wicked; The motels - total control; Romeo void - a girl in trouble, never say never; timbuk 3 (husband and wife) - - the future’s so bright, life is hard
Always loved the Cranberries first heard their music in movies love Linger first then the others got their CD 'safter that and their Irish too how great is that really miss Delores so much
I first heard the Cranberries on the radio in 1993 shortly before my 12th birthday, the same year their first album released, and became an instant fan and quickly acquired that album on cassette tape which I wore out playing on my Sony Walkman. When the second album came out the following year in October 1994, I received their first and second albums on CD (these were my first CDs ever) and this was some of my most listened to music of the 90s. 🥰
Their album, "To the Faithful Departed" came out a few months before my father died in 1996, and it has so much emotion in the songs. The Cranberries will always be among my absolute favorite groups.
A great song from the cranberries is a non album track (cd single b-side) "so cold in Ireland" + dreams , wanted , how , ode to my family , i can't be with you , empty , ridiculous thoughts , salvation , forever yellow skies
Saw the Cranberries many times live... Animal Instinct definately was a favorite amongst many others. Maybe you will also like: Scarlet - Independent Love Song
So many great tunes on "Bury the Hatchet". I think you would love either 'Promises' or "Fe-Fi-Fo'; the latter being a tear down on child abuse that hits every bit as hard as Pat Benetar's "Hell is for Children".
When it comes to Dolores,, I thank the lord for loaning us one of his angels & all the time we were able to share with her before calling her back home. 🙏 ❤
Such a amazing talent and sad lose. She passed on the way to do back ground for Bad Wolves remake of Zombies. The lead singer Tommy Vext is a amazing vocalist you should do a reaction to one of there videos Bad Wolves Remember when is a amazing song
Have one Cranberries CD... not sure why not more.... What a special and wonderful voice!! More please! Great Reaction, You Guys! :) Didn't know that she passed away... :( RIP.
Don't even think about apologizing for attending children's activities. When I hear the Cranberries, I'm always reminded of hearing their first album in an Irish bar in Wildwood, NJ. Nice memories. Thanks for the upload.
Dolores is one of those artists where the emotion of the song is absorbed by the listener even if you don't speak the language its sung in .... Would like to throw out for your own benefit or to share with your subscribers, and encourage you to check out some of the live recordings of artist's you've covered before where the live performance takes to another level ... some examples you have covered before where the atmosphere of the live performance adds something special ... Suggest ya take ya socks off before listening .... they just gonna get knocked off anyway before the video ends. -Cranberries, Dreams (2007) Basel, Switzerland ... love seeing her so happy -Sinead O'Conner Jul 23, 2018 ... can not describe -Amy Winehouse , 13th July 2008, Scotland ... keep a kleenex nearby -Iggy Pop - Real Wild Child (Wild One) ... on my campus, he was [words lacking] I seem to be landing on / commenting more of Amber's favorites than Rob's ... so I'm going to try and throw a couple instrumentals out for Rob here: Lou Reed's Sweet Jane, Live Version 1973 w/ the 5 minute dual guitar intro by Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner Roy Buchanan -The Messiah Will Come Again - My Father's Place 1978(Live Audio) .. The latter, tho it has a spoken narrative at the beginning, (mic track barely audible) the music is pure instrumental. But you don't need vocals to deliver a highly emotional impact ... the strings do that. Having been at this particular show, I remember the total dead silence after the spoken intro. This happens at about 02:10 mark. While the name of the song implies a religious connotation, like Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, it's blues song ... the song is intended to convey the loss and sadness we all experience in our lives and coming out ... to help guide us through it. BTW, thanks for all your work ... started sharing your channel with my middle guy; for years the two of us have been emailing a link and then following up with conversations, sharing impressions of what we got from the words and the lyrics. We also share Dad Jokes :) ... I won't share those ... afraid of destroying your subscriber base.
Jane’s Addiction - Three Days Fat Boy Slim - Rockefeller Skank Chemical Brothers - Block Rockin’’ Beat Pixies - Monkey Gone To Heaven Sheryl Crow - My Favorite Mistake
I hope your next cranberries song Is Promises, which Is dark and very hard rock, so you get to see other side to their range. In any of it dolores voice touches our souls, she was amazing
The Cranberries had a lot of great tunes. Not only Dolores beautiful voice but their songs instrumentation. Checkout some of their edger songs like "Salvation" or "Hollywood" next . Thanks. 😎
Dolores O’Riorden is still so very missed. I’m glad I grew up with her music. ❤ Please check out The Cranberries songs “Twenty One” and “Miss You When You’re Gone”!
I love “How” and “Zombie” I was a freshman in high school when they got big and I loved them immediately. Dolores is just so amazing, you know it’s her as soon as she starts singing.
You both might also enjoy the group Cocteau Twins. Their song Heaven or Las Vegas is their most accessible sound for those who've never heard them. They basically helped create the Shoegaze genre. The lead singer used to be called the voice of God. If you want to impress aliens with our music, Cocteau Twins would be a great place to start.
It's lovely to hear Dolores' voice again! I wonder if The Smiths ever covered this song. I think it would suit them. Of course, after imagining this, I can't unhear it. 🙉
I really like this. She had such a beautiful voice. New music: 1. "Hold On" by En Vogue 2. "The Blues" by Tony!Toni!Tone'! (said as Tony-Tony-Tony) 3. "No More Lies" by Michel'le (said as Mish-shel-lay) 4. "O Sheila" by Ready For The World
This album "Bury The Hatchet" was released in 1999. After 3 year pause. And they came back. A bit more soft, a bit more grown up. As per Dolores herself later in interviews, she said that she kinda enjoys smaller crowds, being not so commercial and do all mostly for massive fan base. I was lucky enough to buy tickets for live concert in Brussels in 2010, got lucky with airline tickets, and got lucky to always keep in my memory this concert where I was and Dolores herself poured on me glass of water from the stage. And you guys- you're doing such a good reaction videos (not only to The Cranberries). So I want to encourage you- please do next from The Cranberries "Promises". And maybe not official video, but live in Paris 1999. The year when this album, including "Animal Instinct" and one of my all time favorites "Fee Fi Fo" were in
Your nice reaction to the Cranberries reminds me of a movie you'd both enjoy on your film channel. "Waking Ned Devine" was a popular comedy with heart set in an Irish village
LADY GAGA - " Alejandro " this song is just one of Lady Gaga"s popular music it's super catchy in every way especially the chorus" Alejandro " Ale, Ale Alejandro" don't call her name , don't call her name. That chorus is totally Groovin'
Yo guys if you haven't checked out this rock group called Bad Wolves?! You gotta hear the song they did " Zombie ". They re sang this song to dedicate to Dolores O'Riordan... OMG they did a fantastic Job!!! I guarantee you will love it, very powerful and very emotional!!!
Apropos Ireland - It is a high time to have a reaction to The Pogues! And since this is Christmas Time, how about the song that is a big favorite for so many: A Fairytale of New York by the Pogues featuring Kristy MacColl. Not Your typical christmas song, and not one for the easily offended, but a great classic from great artists all the same.
Dario G - Dream to me The Human League - All I Ever Wanted Gigi D' Agostino- The Riddle Peter Bic Project - Hey Now M&H Band - Popcorn Mysterious Art - Das Omen

Great song. You need to check out another Irish song, a christmas one.....Fairytale of New York, the Pogues. Great song. Shane passed away a few weeks ago

I love how involved you are with your family! I don't think anyone will ever mind if all your videos don't go up! 🙂 Another 90s band with a singer I bet you'd like is the Sundays. Harriet Wheeler has such a beautiful light voice. "Here's Where The Story Ends" and "Summertime" are two of their really popular songs, but they also did a remake of the Stones' "Wild Horses" that you should definitely check out!
My recommendation for a great female voice, stirring music and a super band from Germany from 1987 is: *Rainbirds - Blueprint*. They had incredible success in Europe almost overnight after winning a competition and getting a record deal. Please respond to this song. Thank you! Best regards from Northern Germany...❤
Request: The Dead South - In Hell I'll Be In Good Company [Official Music Video] , The Dead South - You Are My Sunshine [Official Music Video] Keep up the fine work!
Her voice had passion, power and was totally unique. RIP Dolores O'Riordan.

My favorite song ans video for them and kinda overlooked, really powerful and harsh reality for so much people
🔥The Cranberries "Salvation"...Nuff Said.
Yeah, was going to suggest as a contrast to this.
Dolores literally had the voice of an angel.

Same....the Cranberries are a huge part of the soundtrack of my life.
Uma das maiores vozes do rock. Sem mais.
A favorite song of mine from one of my favorite groups of all time! So many of their songs are high quality.

'When You're Gone' is another incredible Cranberries song.
In a decade of so many incredible female voices Dolores O'Riordan reigns supreme imho.
RIP Little Angel 😢
Saw the Cranberries many times live... Animal Instinct definately was a favorite amongst many others.

After "Zombie", my favourite The Cranberries' song. I LOVE IT.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for getting back to The Cranberries. Great reaction as always. Can't wait to hear more Cranberries reactions!
Speaking of Ireland,, The pride of Belfast,, The Adventures "Broken Land"..A MUST HEAR.
great call - best song of the 80's - ridiculous it wasn't a hit. GB to busy with Stock Aitken and Waterman drivel at the time

Love this song but I hope you get to Ode to My Family. It is one of their best. It’s GORGEOUS. That will definitely hit your soul as you say.
❤
Or "I Can't Be With You" -- the video for that one is so good.
They did Ode to My Family a year ago. You can search it in their videos.

-Iggy Pop - Real Wild Child (Wild One) ... on my campus, he was [words lacking]
I seem to be landing on / commenting more of Amber's favorites than Rob's ... so I'm going to try and throw a couple instrumentals out for Rob here:
Lou Reed's Sweet Jane, Live Version 1973 w/ the 5 minute dual guitar intro by Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner
Roy Buchanan -The Messiah Will Come Again - My Father's Place 1978(Live Audio) ..

“Skin and Bones”. Weird but lovely.
Such a loss. Dolores O'Riordan was so talented and the world is a lesser place without her.
"Disappointment"is such a good song too please check it out
The whole album "Bury the Hatchet" was great. No bad songs at all.
