- This is a total body Pilates Slide class, but we'll really challenge the shoulders throughout. No flexion-based core on the mat today, instead we'll focus on deep core and plank-based core.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR CLASS:
-A pair of dish towels/sliders (paper plates work if you're on carpet) - if you're not using dish towels, still have one on hand
-Light hand weights (I'm using 2lbs) - soup cans, water bottles, even lacrosse balls work, too!
Pilates Slide classes mix Mat Pilates work with sliding sequences inspired by the megaformer. Class is a continuous flow, but we'll generally focus on one muscle group as a time as we move from sequence to sequence.

-Warm up
-Core - center into obliques
-Weighted tabletop series - glutes and hamstrings
-Sliding standing lower body work
-Repeat other side
-Sliding plank & prone series

This was great! I injured my foot and cannot do any high impact movements, so very glad for this class. Challenging. I couldn't hold the DBs for so long, my shoulders were protesting.

I'm really weak when it comes to sliding but that was almost doable as long as I did the pauses and remembered to breathe
