The elitists will shit all over the direction that Mastodon has taken with their music, but I personally love it. Not every band wants to pull a Slayer and repeat the same style for 30 years. I've found things to enjoy with every album, and am glad that they are walking the path that they have chosen for themselves. I've seen them twice live, and while the vocal performances can be hit or miss on stage, the instrumental aspects have always been great. I'm seeing them again in November with Opeth, who have followed a similar musical progression.

I vaguely think i've seen the band name before....yet....I'm not sure....not sure if i heard their songs before and just didn't know who sang them or what. I'm no spring chicken, either, at 43 Lol. The main chorus really got me on this one!! I found it on YT and played it again....the whole song really came thru for me, then. It sounded more muffled or low volume when playing it here on your channel. Keep doing what you're doing....you RAWK, Shane!!

That wasn't too bad for me! I was expecting something heavier and punchier but I appreciated the more melodic style. The album art kind of reminds me of the tree on Mr. Roger's Neighborhood that Henrietta Pussycat and X the Owl lived in, but if it had gone by the way of subsidized housing. It's a beautiful day in the low-rent district.....

I saw them live in 2017 for my 40th birthday. They F'n blew me away! Brann Dailor (the drummer) was a damn Octopus behind the kit.
