Here's a tip if you have sound sensitive neighbours. Mute the strings one way or the other, I just use rolled-up toilet paper under the strings, close to the bridge. Then put on some ambient sound, for example ten hours of falling rain, that you can find on youtube. That sound will then mask the sound of your playing, and even low singing. I've tried it and it works.
I got one of these it doesn't seem to work as good as the video shows yes it's quite but all the notes sound dead so ok for quieter practice but don't get proper tone bit like palm muting
It is a shame that people don't read descriptions before buying things and then telling the world it isn't what they thought it was! Well it is as good as the video shows, there was no microphone editing and it is exactly as described not only by me but also you Richard! It's for quiet practice. Beautifully put. Thank you!
Hi there. I am so sorry that you were unable to find a Music Bar. I stopped selling them due to extreme personal circumstances. However I am about to start again. and have a load ready to ship out. The ebay shop will be up and running before mid October. David Clacy Innovative product Designs Ltd
One can do the same with a short piece of Backer rod (Home Depot)for much less money and it does a better job of muting! This is not a paid anouncement
I'm looking for a way to play my metal sting acoustic in my room, running a cable through to my pedals and amp with headphones. So that I can hear my guitar through the headphones with my effects, without making much noise outside of the headphones. Anyone tried this?

i took the idea and just wrapped paracord through near the bridge in a weave like pattern works quite well thanks for the idea
I just tried this, actually sounds awesome, a muted staccato. Thanks for the idea.
I used a hair bow woven between the strings and put an old CD over my sound hole too. Works great
Now back on Ebay. Type in Music Bar Guitar Mute and it should be top of the page.
Thank you all so much for your patience.
I just put a sock under the strings at the bridge.
