Your storytelling is compelling and engaging because of its authenticity and honesty honed in on a topic that is uniquely yours. Your content these days shows much improvement in so many different ways since you started. Kudos to your ongoing efforts and excellent storytelling skills that always remain true to who you are. Great job, Jay!
Sooo fun! I found Paul, par hasard, on the night of his unforgettable ride around Paris on his trottinette, with a camera taped to his helmet, during the Covid lockdown. It had been a long time since I laughed so hard! I’ve been watching him ever since! I found you, also, par hasard (France being the siren’s call), around about the same time, and I have been watching you ever since, as well. His vlogs are always fun, like watching a comedy show, and I like them a lot. Your vlogs, however, are truly exceptional; and you always have something memorable to share…be it funny, introspective, or touching. You are a super storyteller, and you come across as a person of great integrity and kindness. I try to never miss one of your videos!
Thank you so much - that was really really nice to read. I'm lucky to have viewers like you that make reading my comments section a genuinely edifying experience haha. And obviously lucky to be friends with the chief dickhead. Thank you - I hope I can continue to grow and share my story with you better and better in the years to come =D
We were lucky enough to grab some tickets and saw the show, it was fantastic. I came across Paul when studying French to move here, and at the same time was watching this channel to learn more about our now home. It blew my mind when I first found you together. I think your story about fun and friendship hits harder given the content in the show (no spoilers), but it especially hits home as we had a bunch of friends with whom we always went out drinking. So much so that we named ourselves the every weekend crew. The memories are great, but the nights for revelry (or entire weekends) slowed from COVID and just plain getting older. Cherish the memories, even the embarrassing ones, and keep sharing. It helps remind me of my friendships, especially when they are far away.
Glad you guys could make the show! It was nuts. And agreed - gotta cherish the memories, good and painful, and I'm so happy I can revisit some like this in video form =D
That schadenfreude chuckle when he saw your face on the train 🤣. I loved Paul's WTF France videos. Congratulations for his gig at Zenith! (I love Top Jaw too - the # of restaurants I've tried after watching their vids....never disappointed)
That venue is burnt in my brain because I attended Epica there 😂 most still remember the closing set of the concert because it is viewed by many on yuptup.
Crikey your face that morning - I’ve been there, I can relate 😅. I did think you were going to miss your train for one moment! That arena where Paul did his last show looked huge !!
I bow low & elegantly in Paul's direction, that is a career defining accomplishment. My deepest congratulations! I did try to get over for the show but to no avail. (Last time I was backstage at the Zenith was with the PIL guys in 1986. I believe the day after, I felt much the same as Jay in this video... 🤣 🤣 🤣)
Me and my Frenchie rarely if ever drink, as an example, we were gifted bottles of wine and champagne for holidays that sat in our kitchen cabinet untouched and almost forgotten for a couple of years, or like how my Frenchie's dad wanted to gift us a wine fridge once and I was like that nice but you know I'm gonna use it for kimchi instead of wine, right, lol. Before these winter holidays I think we had maybe 4 glasses of beer and 2 glasses of wine for the WHOLE YEAR!! That's nothing for people that consume alcohol. Anyways, winter holidays are when we drink the most, even though it's still less than what "normal drinkers drink" and just last night we both had just a half a glass of cidre each with some friends, and even that night, not even the next morning, we both felt like complete shit. We both kinda agreed the after effects of drinking were outweighing the pleasure of the in-moment taste or whatever, so I think we're gonna just not drink, lol, and see what happens. I still cook with it sometimes, but not often.
Unfortunately he was a bit too busy to really spend any time on camera - big show and everything running a bit behind - but you'll certainly get more in time!
The one wheel to rule them all, and in the darkness bind them? It's in storage. Started getting a little iffy at top speed, one of the gyros would randomly kick off for a second, and after a couple of scary lurches I decided to retire it. Might have to try out a new one someday
(French here). Gotta be honest, first time I ever saw Paul Taylor was his "WTF France" bit which was on TV, I was at some relatives' place as I don't have a TV personally. It was the one about the level of English of French people or something. I found it clichéd, condescending, and honestly not funny. My very first impression of Paul Taylor was that of a no-talent guy who found a niche in the bilingual, English personality trope. He then grew on me, I've come to appreciate his humor more, but... rough beginnings
10:52…you said it was embarrassing…I think I know where you’re going. I ended keto abruptly to go to my brewer friends tap takeover. Started at his house tasting experimental beers. Ended at a dive bar. 🤮🤦🏾♀️ 1st and only time that’s happened to me. 🫣 Now, with the rest of the video. 😁 As I expected. Sometimes, it’s best not to make it home, before horrible things happen. 😜
I'm getting so spoiled with these high-caliber dailies. Excellent chapter today.

Thank you so much! That's really kind. I'm having a LOT of fun

Awwww, Cooper in a travel bag! 😍 Needs to be a sticker!
Good idea!

That laugh on the train never fails to make ME laugh 😂
Same re: Top Jaw. Went to one of the joints suggested for L.A. it was spot on delish.
That’s an impressive venue! Congratulations to Paul Taylor.
It was so fun!

So nice....I discovered Paul with his WTF France series. Congrats to him!
Great series =D
Paul has fantastic taste in backpacks - that's a peak design everyday backpack. Best one I've ever owned.
Crikey your face that morning - I’ve been there, I can relate 😅. I did think you were going to miss your train for one moment! That arena where Paul did his last show looked huge !!
HA. I felt this. Lots of old memories.
Heck yeah =D
What a wonderful story of your friendship. So glad to be able to experience some of your adventures........ Hugs from Palm Springs
Cheers to new friends 🥂
Loving the daily vids Jay!!
Great!

Monsieur Swanson, you are spoiling us with these daily videos.😎 I'm enjoying this.Maybe the title should be "Really good strong beer"🍺
Must have been a great show, you are the 3rd person I follow that attended and my BFF in Paris and his wife also attended.. Great episode Jay.
It's smart to eval the total. Space, design, everything.
I *WISH* I could’ve attended Paul’s show because one was truly hyped. I’m sure it was quite the spectacle. Félicitations, Paul!
1:13 I saw a comedy show yesterday which did mention this: Slurring and seemingly disoriented while also bragging about one’s ’capacity’.
So happy to see the packed venue! Just wow 🤩
Sweet Jesus that steak looks glorious.
Lille is great.
I cut the line "Lille is my spirit animal in France" but it's true
3:02 Omg I know that era. Thankfully, I saw him in non-alcohol Guinness Era.
You mean "area"? : ) "era" means "epoque" in french : )
@@johndoe-cd9vt Yes, I meant era.
Now that was a very good video.
3:09 Shoutout to Mother Mary!
5:46 SHOUTOUT TO TOPJAW! They’re a bunch of cool lads. You two should collab.

That was fun. But, I wanted to haer a small part of your friends bit. ? 🌴🌴Aloha
Unfortunately he was a bit too busy to really spend any time on camera - big show and everything running a bit behind - but you'll certainly get more in time!
Appropo of nothing but perhaps random people dropping comments... whatever happened to the one wheel?
The one wheel to rule them all, and in the darkness bind them?

5:04 I don’t need hangovers because I get high on my natural endorphins.
Haha It doesn’t have to be 2022 for me to wear. I wear one all the time. I don’t trust this world anymore.
2:03 Not to invalidate your self-opinion but I disagree.
Drinking stories are the best! - We all been there... 🤠🤮🥴

Overdrinking 👎 and specially beer 🤮
Rough combo

Sometimes home is the last last place you want to end up haha
@@JaySwanson Well, in that situation, you’d want to be at home, but not have to clean home. You know, after an unfortunate situation. 🤢😜
