Drove garbage trucks, dump trucks, concrete mixers, etc. License expired when I moved to Pennsylvania and now they want $4000 and I have to take a 120hr class to get my CDL back. 😢. Driving a truck is my passion

However I only drive part time for a local company on weekend. My plan is to eventually get my own truck and authorize it. If so - be careful, those engines just aren't designed for more than 500 hp. Just tryin to help ya out my friend, I was a truck owner for 28 years, and been around trucks all my life. You've got a good head on your shoulders, just watch your money just starting out

And wasn't instant gratification. Brother worked hard diligently for 8 years, got a ton of experience and knowledge as well. Super inspiring and motivating. I'm 33 and had my CDL for almost 2 years now, not sure if I'd go on my own, but def. subscribing here to get all the information. May God bless his company!!
When I did over a 100k gross they had shift pay when I was getting paid 350 a day and I was home every weekend if I wanted to. But I would stay out so I was doing 2400 almost every week. But now they just announced they putting every driver on mileage pay and taking shift pay away. And mileage you will be lucky to see a 1800 check with the way they give out miles. And they was giving us a crazy bonus every 30 60 90 days. But all that is history because of how trucking is they have to adapt to the times. So they making major cuts. My guy still works there and told me this
I would highly recommend you take a closer look at the Frack business. Get a pneumatic tank trailer. I drove a fleet owner and made killer money. But I also have a friend leased to Martin Express. He's pulling Walmart loads. He tells me he is running a dedicated area. He's home every day and making good money after all expenses. I'm just giving you a few more options.

I supposed to be starting with Barr Nunn next month. Were you on the 21/7 making 100k? Or were you staying out longer?
When I did over a 100k gross they had shift pay when I was getting paid 350 a day and I was home every weekend if I wanted to. But I would stay out so I was doing 2400 almost every week. But now they just announced they putting every driver on mileage pay and taking shift pay away. And mileage you will be lucky to see a 1800 check with the way they give out miles. And they was giving us a crazy bonus every 30 60 90 days. But all that is history because of how trucking is they have to adapt to the times. So they making major cuts. My guy still works there and told me this

I would highly recommend you take a closer look at the Frack business. Get a pneumatic tank trailer. I drove a fleet owner and made killer money. But I also have a friend leased to Martin Express. He's pulling Walmart loads. He tells me he is running a dedicated area. He's home every day and making good money after all expenses. I'm just giving you a few more options.
