- Ive called and talked to many brokers but they all tell me the same thing your authority is to new or you need at least six months to a year to run are freight. They make it really hard for the new guy to survive.
This Man knows what he is doing, has a plan, and will succeed. I can tell. Congratulations.
Yes sir appreciate it brotha
My brother, you came out the right way. Your tractor trailer paid for, runs great, and of course it looks awesome. I see a win win. Stay humble.
Good meeting you brotha and good talks with you man. You on your way 💯
Prayers God will show as walk thru your storms
Tip 1, don’t focus on rate per mile, yes it’s important, but the more important part should be how much can you gross per day. If a load pays 2k to go 500 miles, but takes 3 or 4 days to complete, that’s a loss
👍🏾well said
The sweet spot is 350-500 mile runs everyday. Usually you can get $3-5/mile pulling a reefer on those trips so figure $1100-2000 a day depending on how lucky you can get. Always have the broker pays those lumper fees! They can always send you a digital check.
Yes I’m figuring it out and that’s where I like to be on everything and they paid for the lumper
Don’t know you brotha! But mann im proud of you 💯 I love seeing us win 🏅 keep being great brotha!
Appreciate the support man much love 💪🏾
Brother you got a nice setup. I’m sure you did your homework before coming out here. It’s tough as a new owner operater, with the bad rates, and overly priced insurance, but you sound like you know what you are doing! Good luck and I hope you get subscribers.
Over the years I have watched you tubers promote this trucking industry as it was a cash cow but as soon as the market tank, they tanked.
Some of them are still trying to put out content but most of them are not on RUclips anymore.
I’ve been trucking for about 20 years with my own authority, it can be brutal, but if your overall lifestyle does not exceed your trucking income, then you can make it.
Good luck my bro. You are in my book with “Trucking with Tay”. It’s always good to see brothers promoting positivity, instead of promoting the nonsense that brings down our people!
I appreciate you brotha I just wanna inspire ppl and show ppl the real side of trucking. All my content is real and I’m not telling lies for views I really wanna help ppl and show them the real industry starting out as a new owner op with a new authority
@@InterstateMadeMe yes it’s good content. Just build relationships with brokers and don’t expose your rates too much.
You got justruckin who came on you tube humble and he was going out of business when the market tanked during the pandemic.
Then he started bragging about the amount of money he was making from brokers and he was showing recorded phone calls.
Guys like Justin made this industry worse because he exploited the business only to end up not really being a “true truck driver”. Everything he did was just to build a channel.
Guys like you, “Sammy/Make Cents”; LibraDude; HalfKrazy; Hotshotbenni; FloridaTruckRiderz; the list goes on. They have great trucking content.
Surprisingly, all that was just mentioned haul either flatbed or reefer. I’m hauling dryvan and it’s just a pitfall of losers who come out here, the cheapest way, and when the market gets sour, they either go back to being a company driver or back to whatever career field they originally came from.
Over the past three years, people have been able to get into house flipping, trucking, air bnb, and other forms of making money. But if you don’t have a passion in any area, you will eventually fail in all of them.
Next year rates should bounce back and by then all the losers will have left the trucking industry. Keep up your good work. You will survive. You drove for 8 years prior. You are not an overnight youtube made truck driver.
You are a good brother, who seem like they put all they ducks in a row, and made the smooth transition from company to owner operator. 🦾🙏🏾👍🏿
Congratulations!!!!!
Appreciate the words brotha and I will very much take your advice man.
This is what a trucking video is suppose to look like i appreciate the transparency man because alot of guys doing youtude trucking just kickn B.S and not being 💯 so thank u for stating all the facts 👏🏽
Yes I will not sell you bull for views I will be real with all my content brotha
@@InterstateMadeMe 10/4 trucker be safe out there God bless the new setup looks badass
Its nice to see someone doing what I'm in the process of doing, paying off my equipment while maintaining a 6 fugure job as a company driver. Looking forward to many more videos of you making money with that beautiful ride. Be safe out there my friend. I hope to see you on the road some day. 👍
Yes sir wish you the best and hope to see you out here one day 🙏🏾
Do you have another driver driving for you?
If you haven't already done this make sure you get the whole rig appraised and get fire coverage on both tractor and trailer

Hi from the uk bro you are showing people how to start up in trucking the right way , a great example your setting to others who might be interested in doing the same.
I have to say again you have one sick looking Pete and trailer, I love the purple and black it goes together really well 💜
Thank you brotha I’m very much trying to help as many ppl as I can for free and man that’s amazing you in UK watching thanks for the love
Keep up the good work and we need more positive energy out here for the younger generation and we wish you nothing but success
Yes sir brotha thank you
Very nice truck and trailer. Great motivation. I for sure subscribed. The Brokers are telling the truth. It is difficult to find good loads with new Authority along w insurance being extremely High. Keep at it and fight through it. Stay up.
Yes it’s been tough for me but I will make it through
You can most definitely survive in this market with no truck or trailer payment you’re winning bro.
Thank you brotha
Your truck is amazing! Great start to you tube!
Thank you very much
TRUCK LOOK GOOD MAN! Motivation for sure! Keep going! 👍🏾
Thank you 🙏🏾
Nice video, nice smooth looking Pete and trailer. Take care and keep the rubber on the road.
Yes I sure will
I think you will do fine. Yeah having truck paid is a huge deal. Dang I want too take are truck too 300inch wheel base now.
Thank you sir and what you waiting on you only live once
Man this is dope I came across your vid. I am not a trucker but did some in the Army in garrison and in Iraq. I am in school for cyber sec but I plan on retrofitting a race car trailer with living quarters for myself and wife. I am paying everything down now so I can find something to build since I am mechanically inclined and I want to put that machinist degree to use
Wish you the best on the journey brotha 💯
Congratulations bro nice equipment and good information we appreciate you be safe out there

Man waiting to see u on this journey an u kan't go wrong. Everything is paid for all u got to do is keep the work for it an honestly that shouldn't be hard just stay on the load boards. Everyone fighting freight 25 yrs ago I learned the further you go the more you loose sticking to the one thing that will always be there local grain
It’s a lot of that in my area
You going to make it good MR interstate,,,, very cool truck and reefer trailer....greatings from sweden
Appreciate the love man and thank you

Thought the thumbnail looked familiar Seen you at the loves in Dayton Ohio last month clean rig mane!
Yea I’m there a lot getting fuel
Anything you do big bro, you’ll survive and continue to grow
Watching here from northern Ireland I drive to keep it smoking
That’s amazing thanks for the support 🤙🏾
New to the channel and you have a sweet ride. I love purple that’s the color I want. I have a name you can use for your truck it’s what I was going to use. Airbrush on back of the sleeper PLUM CRAZY. We have to be crazy to drive these trucks. Just an idea but anyway great looking rig.
Thank you and that is a great name
That Pete hard bro !!!! Proud of you , motivation!!!!
Thank you
Hope to meet you my brother , that Pete beautiful. I hope I can link with you and upload up on my channel
After you start cutting & coloring you ride around with Zephyr 40 to keep your rig smooth and easy and avoid any mud holes and nasty parking lots they make the equipment look like a eye sore so keep it in between the white lines and out them ditches 💖💖💖 Poptart
Beautiful setup! Stay safe
Thank you 🙏🏾
Run the air lines and green cord under the trailer/back of truck looks cleaner 👌👌 beautiful truck just subscribed 💪💪
Yea I plan to do it that way when I purchase a stainless spread or flatbed
Coming back and rewatching while doing laundry
I like seeing the daily flow of a semi driver .
Just subscribed to you !!! We think you can do it !!!! Yup best freight lanes really are Indiana/Chicago to Texas to Atlanta that is the triangle but if you get into polishing don’t waste your money and time on the creams or liquids it’s not worth your time with them wiping on and wiping off crap it’s not worth it at all but we stand on all the way on the Cutting and Coloring that’s the way to go !!!!!
Cutting & Coloring
Use Compounds and Wheels
Brown compound with a orange wheel
Green compound with the yellow wheel
Blue compound with the white wheel
All Zephyr Compound and wheels buy 9inch wheels and no more than 3500 rpm for a buffer 3000 rpm is perfect Hope this helps you on your journey young man stay Prayed Up !!!!
Ohhh and to clean up the residue use Zephyr 40 it’s not a head turner it’s TRUE SHOW TRUCK AT ALL TRUCK SHOW POLISHING !!!!
SUPER EASY TO DO ONCE YOU FIGURE IT OUT ITS GOING TO CHANGE THE GAME !!!!
Just watch a couple videos on Cutting & Coloring and you will be in there too !!!!!!!!!!!! It’s not hard at all but get a respirator but I promise you that you will show up and show out because you are on the right track
Thank you very much and it’s funny you mentioned zephyr cause that’s literally all I have in the truck. And just got finished polishing up
Super Nice truck and trailer!
Thank you
I hope you make it driver, as a 34 yr vet, it's going to be hard out here when so many are not making it. With the truck you have it will really make things tight! A big hood is cool! But it is not efficient as you already know I'm sure. Multi stop short drops is going to be your best bet! To see a profit and manage fuel for that thirsty hood! Only reason I bring it up is because I had 2 of them bout put me out of business lol.. I wish you the best of luck we out of Cleveland 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Thank you brotha really appreciate it
If you don’t want to get a Apu you can always get a generator and a small ac unit. That’s what I do.
Yes appreciate the advice 💪🏾
Keep doing that young brother 💯
Thank you 🙏🏾
Nice job not many people can do what you do. Nice rig looks awsome
That Pete bad af man congratulations on doing the damn thing man for your own authority
Thank you brotha 🤙🏾
Good video my friend. Drive safely. God bless you.

Yes sir I came a long way and that’s a good brotha there and best wishes on your journey
@@InterstateMadeMe 💯 thanks..u too
Buy pre emission , avoid them tmc trucks. Speaking from experience. God bless
Nice Pete, Get that money.✌🏿🙏🏾
Yes sir 💪🏾
No Florida unless you absolutely have to it's hard to find loads coming out unless you haul something like plants or trees and your trailer will end up with like 2inches of dirt in the floor
No Florida for me man
That setup too clean 😍😎
Thank you
Good luck!!!!!
Thank you
Trucking is one tough career and it takes all your energgy and patience to suceed!! Mabye with the likes of Yellow going under, it will help you get profitable loads and help advance your business!!! It's obvious you know how to do it and that is the key!!! God Bless and keep the greasy side down!!!@@InterstateMadeMe
Think like a business owner, not a trucker. Do your books daily. Know what your mpg is and how can you raise it. How to reduce expenses, write down all your miles to record them unless your eld will do it. White sheet your route to see where to fuel. Remove the IFTA to see who is cheaper on fuel and get a discount card! Think how to do it for less.
Yes sir appreciate the tip I’m taking all this in and and applying the information
Also try to become a direct carrier with a, or a couple of shipper in your area. Remove the broker!! Another part of the business model.
Proud of you Young man!
Don’t allow the negativity to slip in! Stay focused.

Nice Eq!!
HEY MY GUY NICE SET UP...I JUST GOT EVERYTHING GOING ON MY END ILL BE PULLING OUT NEXT WEEK...MAY THE JOURNEY BEGAN 💪

Very nice I just came across your page.. that's a nice set up you got.. I have a question how did you get her to sit low like that please share.. waving outta new jersey
It has a front air ride on her to make her sit a little lower
Keep them coming.
Sure will next one on the way ASAP🔥
Love the video!!!😊
Thank you 🙏🏾
That Pete is super clean bro I hope to be there one day
I hope you do to and thank you
Hey bro! New to the channel and your content is great. I too have my own authority (ATB Trucking Co) in South Louisiana. I run flatbed. Love your set up. What air rife system do you have on your front end? Looking forward to the next video...👊🏾
Thank you brotha and I just have 4 shocks and two air bags on the front air ride was like that when I bought it
@@InterstateMadeMe 10-4. Keep on Truckin!! 👊🏾
Ooh thoes jakes....MMMPH..nothing like a 12.7 Detroit
Yes sir
Hey brother awesome video where did you get the black air lines going to the trailer I’ve been trying to find them? They look way cleaner then red and blue lol
My mechanic ordered them I will ask where he got em from
@@InterstateMadeMe thanks bud

Cmon ✊🏽I’m grinding to catch y’all but I bought a freight shaker 😂
I don’t judge the truck brotha if you getting money than I respect it
Pretty truck
Thank you
Keep posting📈✅🔥
I sure will 🤙🏾
i see you switched that bumper lol, looks better. did you have a lift kit on that boxed in one ?
Yea but the box end was just to simple
Salute keep grinding
Thank you
Oh yeah when idling.bump cruise up to 1k to keep your oil pressure up.saves your bearings in the long run
Yes sir you are correct my idle switch isn’t working right now
I wish you all the luck sweetheart I'm a prisoner of the highway
Thank you very much
TQL are still crooks I’m sure. I always avoided their loads.
I have to agree I’m trying my best to steer clear
Nice video... may i ask how long it took you to get all set up with authority?
I set my authority up on my own and took me about a week to do everything. It can be done in days but I took my time
Update. Another idea, 4 inch strap, ball valve. front axle trailer (assuming leveling valve is on rear axle) when empty, run tires up on block dump suspension, run strap under axles missing S cam and wires over slide frame and hook to its self. should raise empty mpg about 1.5, oh and please no rolling coal that is just fuel out the stack. Empty boost should be no more than 15 psi, loaded different story. Yes loaded to 65 at 75K was 2 miles. but that was me. BTW, White sheet ifta? I averaged $35-50 a year in road tax because I paid attention to each state. compare Ohio to Pa. remove the fuel tax and see who is cheaper. Next Get on paper 100 Gal. from Pa. IFTA rate and Ohio and see how far that will go down the road. Harrisburg, Pa. 200 Gallons will get you down 81 to 40, to 75 to Ft.Myers area. 6.8 mph.
Best of luck , just don’t come to Arizona for now lol
I’m good brotha and thank you
Good Luck
Thank you
What I do to stay cool at night/when I’m about to stop. I got a $30 fan I plug into my inverter but I already have the curtain pulled with the air on max. Just a suggestion until you get a APU. I’ve also saw older trucks with the A/C unit that you have to crack your window to let the hot air/water drip. Now last thing these know it all’s in the comments gotta stop. Majority are scared to even bet on yourself and take a chance.
Yea I pretty much do that but it’s hard cause I have no curtains
Man, nice ride
Thank you
💖💖💖 Poptart
$1900 in 3 days is a no gooo!
You should want to gross atleady 4500 in 5 days
I started the load Tuesday evening and finish out out Thursday morning it was two days for 1900 and came out 2,044 with detention
Lumper fees n long waits are what I didn’t like bout running reefer.
Yea it can get hectic
@@InterstateMadeMe yes sir, you doing your thing. I’m about to do the same. Proud of you brother
Good Shit 💜💪🏾
💜
Congratulations on your new authority but you do realize this is the worst time to have your authority alot of people are getting out of it and then the ones who are staying in it are struggling
Yes you are right but that’s what we need is for ppl that came in and flooded the market to leave. I need to experience this down time so I know how to handle it when it happens again
Bump that idle to 1000 when your at a standstill. Letting that motor idle low will kill it slowly.
Yes sir I know but I don’t idle my truck at night at all or if I do idle it’s for a very short period of time
If you are in the Iowa area call J & T Logistics out of Hubbard if you’re looking for some good loads.
Yes I have heard of them do they co broker there freight out or you have to be leased on to run there freight ?
@@InterstateMadeMe I believe they broker out freight to anyone. They are definitely worth a phone call. I’m leased to them and do pretty good running from Iowa to points East and south East. Seems like the good paying loads are coming out of Iowa where most of the pork is produced and out of Omaha where it’s mostly beef.
@@InterstateMadeMe there are a few owner operators who have all their own equipment and authority that run with us steady
@InterstateMadeMe They broker freight and have a good rating with my factoring company.
@@ddub454yea I will give them a call cause I run Iowa also thanks for the tip brotha 💪🏾
New Sub!!
Thanks for subbing! Welcome
How's it going running on your own authority? I'm seeking to start mine this month.
It’s a learning experience and I love the freedom. But all around it’s going ok
My authority went live yesterday for a 26 ft box truck. Would you recommend a dispatcher with new authority for a few months?
If you don’t understand lanes and freight than maybe but if the dispatcher has connections and contacts and maybe direct freight it could be great but if they just running you off the board figure things out and dispatch yourself
@@InterstateMadeMe which board would you recommend for newbies? DAT? I do need more insight on lanes. Thanks

hello, how old is you mc? are you having hard time to book a load as new carrier? what do you think, when is the enough age for mc to book a load without problem from a broker?
Yea it’s pretty new my MC is 4 months I’m having a tough time but I’m finding my way I think at the 6month to a year mark it gets a lot easier
