i see it shifting alittle strange, like its cutting the fuel? is that just the defuel do it defuel more than stock? mine have the same behavior but i dont know what it is.

not sure if they did but make sure that a.c. line is heat wrapped since it's ran under the turbo or it will eventually melt it I promise. man the minimax is gonna rip!
that is the return side.. the residual cool in the line chills the fuel. GM has been doing that tricky route since the 80s. the vortec 96-99 really benefits from it.

I would replace that upper radiator hose with a color matched aluminum piece, for an idea of what I mean it’s commonly done on Cummins with dual cp3

the head gaskets are a concern, but i would be more worried about the rods. its an lly great pistons weak rods

Love this truck. It’s the perfect setup.
You might want to look into getting a 1.0 A/R exhaust housing, with the 83mm turbine wheel and .90 A/R exhaust housing, you are overspeeding that turbo and that's why it's having turbo bark the way it does. The overspeeding also leads to premature bearing failure in the turbo
I agree man. I'm not sure who he's getting his advice from. kinda like being right there with everything torn down and not putting in gaskets/studs and risking messing up a head. but I guess a blown headgasket makes for good content and he has the money to fool around with.

Run 180 degree thermostats. Lowers the risk of head gaskets a whole lot. Prevent the chances more than you know
