We just bought a pair of 1996 Yamaha 1100 triples in very great condition !!!!! 1 is the Wave Venture and 1 is the Wave Raider with the QSTS quick shift trim system. Both have been converted too run off 40.1 ratio of pre mix 2 stroke as both oil has been deleted!!! I heard the original way is better and not to do the conversion set up ?? 🤔🙄🤔 Any suggestions on the truth of the 2 ??
Good work on your pair, sounds like a nice find! Ok so the truth is, there isn't a truth...sorry thats not a direct answer but with premix/oil deletes, this is a personal preference... I have always been massively against it as for me, if you're maintaining and checking the the pump regularly, you shouldn't have it give up.... the issue I think from where oil pumps go bad is years and years of neglect and then, they go out, ride it hard and then it gives up. I would also add, most riders I see at my lake that run premix, always moan about not getting ratios right... in a nut shell, OEM in my opinion is better, plus its far less messing around... my raider is still using the original pump and not missed a beat... thanks for watching 👍
It's so great to see someone doing a proper restoration of these iconic skis with the attention to detail that they deserve! Love your your work!
Thanks man, I just love the old skis and want to keep at least some of them going

I have an 1100 engine I'm rebuilding to put in a waveblaster 1. Is a waveblaster 1 on your list?
Nice! 👌 it is indeed 🌊
No Kawasaki's on your channel I see
‘Yet’ being the key word 😉
