This is exactly what I was talking about. Yamaha with a tune should push right where we want it to be with speed. HOWEVER, it may not feel as light or as nimble as a spark. From what I'm hearing, it still too big and heavy. You really have to get on one first.

I have a Mint 1996 Waveblaster. The color scheme is also different than the 2 others. I just also ride a XP limited and Wave Raider. The wave raider was definitely the best looking craft and it was meant to go top speed. I did learn how to carve with it by position in your body right way around corners. Still though with all the 90s crafts and buy modern RXPX that 96 wave blaster is the best sit down craft ever made in terms of pure fun. I have old JetSki magazines, and even those editors sent the same and they preferred it over the HX. Also, the wave blaster captures a lot of that essence and it’s really a special craft because it’s easier to ride but can still be leaned over.

Just because seadoo did it first doesnt mean they are the best. As of right now, yamaha has perfected the rec-lite class of skis. Seadoo isnt great at following what their customers want. Yamaha is. Yamaha also has a superior product in terms of quality in all aspects. This doesn’t just apply to the jetblaster and spark.

I'm going to theorize on your theory lol. I wonder if they essentially take a GTR, shorten it by taking the swim deck off. Drop in the 1630 with at least the 130/170 options and throw a new unique deck on it with only 1+1 seating. Wouldn't take much except maybe moving the engine slightly to make sure the CG is good and there ya go. Oh, and of course some graphics not picked in a corporate board meeting.

These new jetskis unfortunately don’t have the characteristics of the old skis. We used to be able to lean them over in a corner and get out elbows in the water!! I don’t know if they will ever make a ski like that again, the wave blaster was amazing, the handling was like I was riding my gsxr motorcycle, after 40 minutes of hard riding I would need to take a breather as it was workout for the body, Absolutely love those old machines, I wish I could go back in time and relive those moments

I have not gotten a sit down ski because they are all huge boats! I have my Kawasaki SXR 1500 and its a blast. I would love if they did this right. Watching jetski racing form the 90's is a blast... watching it now the craft look like a sofa.

Great vid, I was just wondering have you ridden a 2022-2024 jetblaster. Some people seem to prefer it to the trix 3 up. Other than wheelies not as good on Jetblaster but handling and power are better. But for 2 up riding a pulling a tube sounds better yet still fun to ride. I have 97 xp that is mint and enjoy it but none other family member like it to tippy.

Ideally I want a Superjet hull with a motorcycle-like deck which would re-create something more like the original Blaster. I like the new Jet Blaster design though as a fun machine that has some range to it.

I would buy the purple and red jetblaster ASAP. Make it happen Yamaha!

I think a fixed steer superjet with no sides in the tray and a durtbike seat would make the ultimate waveblaster 1 gen 2!

Also, as for the color schemes, you're not a teenager anymore, who wants to live in the past? Move on! There are other color combos that look better and more modern.

im re powering the 95 gtx with a 717 an restoring back to original the 92 xp an i think im going to put a 717 in the 96 spi an using the 95 gts for parts an the 96 raider needs a whole new pump housing

honestly surprising how well that handles! i hate the idea of an 800 pound machine that has less than 200hp… but that thing looks like so much fun! in terms of buying old skis have you ever looked into buying either a 2000-2001 Polaris SLX OR SLX PRO?

Just picked up a 1997 760 Wave Venture! Love these 90s Yamahas!

It didn't vanish it evolved, first created and tested by Clayton Jacobson in 1965.

I have to say the GTI looks pretty cool jumping and turning in the water. To turn and throw this "ship" looks great, the length and power makes the GTI more superior and calm in the water. I hope you understand what I wrote, I´m watching from Germany. 🙈 But I really like what you are doing. 👍🏻

I have a ‘17 GTI 130SE to pair with my Spark, they compliment each other nicely. I have strayed from swapping out the GTI because mine is the end of years that still have the “old” fiberglass hull. It’s about 50lbs heavier than the Polytec but I like the extra bulk and strength it has in 800lb+ machine. Everyone that gets on the GTI is surprised how playful it can be despite being such a couch. In a straight line drag race the 130 and my 2up Spark are dead even until top end, then the GTI rides off into the sunset. If only SeaDoo would give us that 60 mph Spark we been wanting for 10 years.

Good side by side example of the GTI going through/attempting similar maneuvers as the spark. Can't wait to see you on a GTR. While it has the same compromises a GTI has versus a spark, that power helps overcome its limitations to a degree. They'll never be a spark, but the smiles are the same. Good video.

I do not ride my GP SVHO much now that I have my SXR 1500. Just so much more fun as I wanted more dynamic.

DI issue is high pressure fuel pump failure, $900 part and nobody really has an aftermarket one that works. Needs to work on low amp draw. Had 2 DI’s both had crank failure around 125-150 hours. Original 951 had a leaky block to exhaust pipe seal allowing water to drip into throttle bodies. Seadoo revised gasket and also added rubber deflectors to keep water away from Throttle bodies. Crank failures often destroy the block. Basic injection system is trouble free! Winterizing coolant system is a pain.
