@@classicjetskis you’re welcome. Love your videos. I’ve started from the beginning and working my way through all of your old videos also. What happened to the SP videos? I can’t find the test ride.
I am loving your Spark XP artwork, logos and designs! And just so you know, Sea-Doo is watching your channel too! Greg Gaddis of @greenhulkgarage and myself asked Sea-Doo's Head of Project Development about the E-Tec going in the Spark 2.0 back in 2021. His reply was "turbos get too hot, plus we get all the power we need from the 1630." Greg and I begged for more info, and he said a 130HP was "more likely" and that the 170HP variant was "getting dangerous." Again, this was 4 years ago and we've been waiting ever since (and I've been getting everybody's hate since I first shared this). -K
Thanks Kevin, glad you like the concepts. I have a better breakdown of the XP logo and how I designed it on my Insta-check it out. I hear you re turbo vs 1630, I just love the romantic idea of a 2 stroke but do agree, its the most unlikely of the pick. I saw your 1630 video from a while ago and must say, that got me hyped! I do think a fast spark will happen, its just a matter of timing. If I get fed up of waiting, I will just wedge a 1630 into a spark and be done with it lol. Thanks for watching 👌👌💪💪
@nicksteeb I hear you dude but It will happen, maybe not now but at some point it will and when it does, you all saw the concept here first. Thanks for watching dude ✌✌

4 strokes are throwaway junk! I don’t care how fast they are. Let’s see one survive on just oil injection and no oil changes. Etec and optimax need to be offer in v8 muscle cars as 4 strokes suck in them to.
Loving the Spark content lately! As an owner of a 2024 (2nd gen) Spark Trixx, I love this ski's playfulness and maneuverability. But like you, I agree it needs a little more power to bring it to the next level in the trick and top speed department. I will be upgrading to the Solas impeller and possibly get a top loader intake grate at the start of next season to gain a bit more traction and pop out of the hole. I'm not really willing to start messing with the tune and adding expensive components to gain 5-7MPH in exchange for less reliability and way more $$$. Would definitely be nice to see a 120 - 140 HP (out of the box) Trixx in the near future, this would be a game changer and would amplify it's already high fun potential!
Hey man, glad you’re enjoying the Spark content! It’s awesome to hear you’re loving your 2024 Spark Trixx and that you’re planning some cool upgrades. The Solas impeller and top loader intake grate should definitely help with traction and that pop out of the hole. Totally get where you’re coming from about the balance between power and reliability-it’s a tricky line to walk. Here’s hoping Seadoo delivers a higher HP option in the near future Thanks for watching and supporting the channel! 👌👌💪💪
I hate to burst your bubble, but I have to agree with most other people here in the comments. The reason 2-stroke was abandoned is emissions issues, and I don't think it'll ever return when there's so many other options. First of those is obviously a detuned 1630, but I've heard the odds of that aren't great, based on some tests of a 170-swapped Spark. There's always the turbo option, like the sleds and the Maverick X3's, or even the 1-litre 3cyl from the Maverick R, but the latter is custom-built to work with that machine and its DCT, and I think a turbo might chug too much fuel to make sense regardless. Another engine I almost forgot about is the E-TEC 2-stroke outboards used on boats from Alumacraft and Manitou. It's a 1.9 litre 3cyl currently only making 115 or 150 hp, but I doubt we'll see anything done with it, partially because of the emissions issue and partially because that is a HUGE engine for a Spark, and the potential for modding is honestly scary 😆 Something I haven't heard anyone at all mention yet is the 3-wheelers. The smaller Ryker uses the same 900 3cyl platform, but the Spyder F3 and RT both use a 115-hp 1330 ACE engine that's unique to them. That could give the power bump we want without the 1630's already established potential of cranking it up to 300+ hp. It's a far reach for sure, but it's maybe my favorite option here, highlighting an existing platform that doesn't get a lot of love. Last is a new engine altogether, but it's the least likely by a good margin in my opinion, just because development of a new anything, let alone an engine, takes far more time and money. There's a reason so many BRP machines share engines, displays, controls, accessories, etc. They've refined the skill of re-utilizing and multipurposing components to a T, and I don't think that'll change anytime soon. (And btw, love the mockups you keep making, the yellow/pink colorway and the new-gen Spark XP logo both look amazing)
Hey man, you’ve definitely got some solid points here! Emissions regulations have been a major factor in the shift away from 2-strokes, and it’s true that there are a lot of other engine options out there. The 1630, turbo options, and even the E-TEC outboards are all interesting possibilities, though each comes with its own set of challenges. The idea of using engines from the Spyder lineup is pretty cool and might offer a way to get that performance bump without jumping straight to 300+ hp. I agree, though-it’s a bit of a long shot. I’m with you on the idea that new engine development is a huge investment, and leveraging existing platforms is likely to be the route manufacturers take. But hey, it’s always fun to dream big and explore all the possibilities! Thanks for your detailed thoughts and for watching and supporting the channel, mate!
Thank you, dude. Glad you enjoyed this! Everyone (most anyway) think I might be out of my tree, but mark my words: a faster Spark is coming, and when it does, you'll have seen it here first. Thanks for watching! 😎
I think we're headed for tough times much like the early 80's with snowmobiles where race/performance sleds weren't selling well but new light weight, economical models did really well.
I really can't comment on the 80s as I was born in 93, but do agree the PWC industry at the moment isn't aligned with the value proposition and what owners can spend on the machines... I think Seadoo need to get back to their 90s roots. Thanks for watching dude 👌
I think SeaDoo will react to the Jet Blaster, but considering it was only released a week ago they won't be able to react this year. I think the earliest we see how they react to the Jet Blaster is next year, but more likely 2 years from now. I think we are more likely to see the 900 ACE Turbo than the 2-stroke versions. I believe in North America you need to be a racer to buy a 2-stroke, which is why Yamaha built the 4-stroke stand-up a few years ago. A SeaDoo Spark with the 900 ACE Turbo and no Extended VTS would make a lot of sense actually. I really like that idea.
Thanks for watching dude and the input, I do hear you, thats why I lead with the 900 ace turbo option before the romantic idea of the 2 stroke ETEC, but boy what a machine and full circle to the xp that would be. IMO the spark needs a rebadge to shake things up. I do agree I'm likely a year too soon with this, but wanted to give Seadoo a firm push to make it happen... I think a 60mph spark in this sort of setup with the throwback colours and leaning into the XP history would be the ultimate counter punch to the JetBlaster, the JetBlaster looks strong TBF. 😎
Yeah we won't ever see another 2 stroke PWC engine again. And the reason is the emissions are so bad as they run a total loss oil system, with the excess oil dumping straight into the waterway through the exhaust.
The ETECs actually have god eco credentials, dont forget they use them on the SN... yes 90s 2 stroke I agree with your point but newer tec 2 stroke has potential. I do think the 4 stroke ace is more likely but the etec could happen. Thanks for watching dude ✌
In a downward economy I’m not expecting anything crazy but it would be awesome to see the 4 stroke snowmobile stuff implemented so that even if they don’t offer a turbo model it’d be something where it’d be very easy to adapt into the ski
I agree, it'd be awesome to see some of that 4-stroke snowmobile tech make its way into a PWC. Even without a turbo model, having a platform that's easily adaptable could open up a lot of possibilities for mods and upgrades. Never say never, right? Appreciate your take on this, mate, and thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
@@classicjetskis I'm there with you. Make a spark X or XP like you suggest, and throw a 1630 in it with a 130 hp tune. Step up on yamaha. Or release a stand up! Lol
The problem with turbo charging a pwc as opposed to a snowmobile is cooling. It’s really hard to stop a turbo from burning up and heat soaking everything else in an enclosed hull. The snowmobiles can run open inter coolers which get clean air from outside. That’s not really doable on a ski which is why most brands stick to supercharging. To my knowledge most of the third party turbo kits for sparks aren’t very reliable. But I’m keeping my fingers crossed as well that they can find a way.
Dude, you’re totally right about the cooling challenges with turbocharging a PWC. The enclosed hull definitely complicates things, but with the other options on the table I still think it is doable for sure ✌ Fingers crossed they can figure out a reliable solution for those turbo kits in the future! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel, man! 💪
Hey dude, that’s an awesome combo you’ve got there! The 2002 Yamaha GP1200R is a classic, and the 2024 Seadoo GTR-X 300 must be a blast, I want to have a go on one! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 💪
I love your thinking! A more powerful spark is what we all desperately want!!!!! But I think we will be disappointed again 😢 on the positive side the jet blaster may push them to do it next year 🤞
Oh but I’m saying that…. They did put a carbon seal in the spark from 2022….. got to be a reason to do that…. More power maybe 🤔 oh please seadoo! Do it I want it so bad!
Glad you like the concept dude, a faster spark will happen for sure, its just a matter of time as you say. The good news is the JetBlaster is the perfect catalyst to make Seadoo get a move on. Thanks for watching dude ✌
Man, that's a tough one... The GP was from the early 2000s, wasn't it? But in the 90s, Chris McCluggage was pretty dominant on the 1100 Raider, so you could make an argument for the Raider. In the early 2000s, the XPLTD 951 would have been the GPs competition. Thanks for watching! 😎
It would be sick, i have a sea doo spi 1996 with the 567 2 stroke in it, its small but it goes 45 easy, i like the idea of bring back 2 strokes, they are amazing and fun, but i say they bring something back like the 787 or 717 engines, the are small and would fit in the spark, even the 951 might fit, they could make a new one that is 3 cynider also, 2 stroke of course, they could bring back a engine, or make one from scratch, i say they bring back the 951 2 stroke engine but make it fuel injected, people have done that.
I hear you, dude, and love the enthusiasm! When I say 2-stroke, I'm referring to using the ETEC snowmobile engine, which has good eco credentials, not bringing back 90s-style 2-strokes, which are sadly just too environmentally unfriendly. I mean, I would love it, but the eco warriors would never have it. The 717 is so reliable and easy to work on, and it would definitely fit well into a Spark, but the 900 ACE is too closely matched to the 717 for it to be worth the effort. The 951 or 787 would be more exciting... do it, man. Thanks for watching! 👌✌
Yamaha would be pretty pissed. Their gentleman's agreement ran out in 2020. So they were forced to put a TR1 into their Superjet. If Seadoo figures out a way to bend the rules and use a 2 smoker... Id be super surprised.
Talk to me, gentleman's agreement? I knew about the TR1 in SJ but.... As for Seadoo using ETEC, I think its more likely we see the 1630 or 900 ace turbo. Thanks for watching 👌
No pwc company will ever use a 2 stroke again. There are many places where a 2 stroke engine has been banned. Mostly California. Seadoo has already said the 1630 will fit in the spark and having a 130 hp spark is definitely plausible. The other reason they haven’t put more hp in the spark is because they say the plastic hull can’t handle the horsepower. The new or redesigned of the spark is here to stay and so is the 900 ace.
Hey dude, I hear where you're coming from-2-strokes are definitely a tough sell nowadays with all the regulations, especially in places like California. But I wouldn’t completely rule out new ideas or tech that could bring back some of that old-school vibe in a modern way. As for the 1630 fitting in the Spark, that’s definitely exciting, and a 130 hp Spark would be a blast. I think there’s still room for some innovation, even with the plastic hulls. Maybe with the right tweaks, we’ll see something that pushes the limits a bit more. Appreciate the insight, mate, and thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
@@classicjetskis i agree I wish they would bring back the performance aspect in all the skis the xp had a race form so did the gsx as did the hx but now it’s not that way I loved my 787 swapped hx and my 951 swapped hx but just not practical anymore.

I've only been pushing the whole performance spark since 2015. It will never happen. The spark is the baseline model. When they put the new gen out last year I thought we'll if they beefed up the hull to handle more HP then maybe this year it would happen... But the bottom deck got no extra stringers. It can't handle that hp. The hull twists, throws the engine out of alignment, and tears up the pto. It's a pipe dream buddy. I do love your rendering though! XP4LIFE
Hey dude, I hear you on the Spark’s limitations and the challenges with pushing it beyond its baseline performance. It’s true that back in 2015, asking for a faster Spark might have been a stretch. But with the 2024 10-year anniversary, it was more realistic to hope for some exciting updates or improvements beyond what we got. The hull’s design has certainly been a concern, but who knows? Seadoo might surprise us with some innovations that address these issues. Thanks for your insights and for loving the rendering! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel, mate!
@@classicjetskis yeah I talked with engineers and Corp contacts in 14 and 15.... It's never gonna happen. They built a prototype with a turbo in 2018 that leaked online and it went into a container and sent to Thailand never to be seen again.
Could be the ultimate bluff 😂 I know dude, I could be off for this year but mark my words a faster spark is coming, if not this year next...but its coming. Thanks for watching dude 👌
The economy is in the shitter, you'll be lucky if they bring out anything new. I heard they're really just doing a scout version of the explorer, some new colors and maybe new features. No new hulls or anything head turning. ST3 hull still has about 3+ years left on it, so that's not changing. 2 stroke is dead, it's been dead for years. Nobody will go back due to the emissions problems, the sooner people can accept that, the sooner we can all move on.
I liken our situation right now to the 1980's BUT the inflation is being under-reported aka we are being lied to. Companies will do better to focus on the cheaper models. I already see dealerships backed up with unsold inventory that would have been long gone by May in the last few years.
I totally get where you're coming from-the economy has definitely been rough, and it's easy to think they might just play it safe with minor updates. But I wouldn't completely count out the possibility of something fresh on the horizon. While the ST3 hull might have a few more years, there's always room for surprises, even if it's not a complete overhaul. And yeah, the 2-stroke days are probably behind us, but who knows what new tech could shake things up, the ETEC does have strong eco credential's? Thanks for sharing your thoughts, dude, and thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
@SnojetSteve its the same here buddy in the UK, dealers have lots of 23s and 24S to move and now there will be 25s... Come to think of it, that could be the reason alone for nothing new, just to give time to move stock!
i never understood why they never put there 2 stroke E-Tac in one of the watercrafts just to test it. Evinrude pulled off the impossible and made a 2 stroke that that met the environmental standards, then Bombar bought them out and has hardly done anything with it other then a snowmobile all these many years later.
I think what people are saying is its easier to keep a SM cool vs a closed hull Spark... I still think its doable, but that said I think the more logical route would be a 1630.. Thanks for watching 💪👌
I run fresh and salt and if your flushing/maintaining etc, 0 issues, salt water is normally an issue more with neglect vs fit for purpose. Thanks for watching 🙌
@classicjetskis the thing about it is . The design of the unit makes it difficult to clean . No trouble flushing the unit . But if you roll the unit, you basically have to take the top of the unit off to wash them .the motor heads are aluminum, and you know what salt does to aluminum . Have you tried washing the motor head on a spark lol .
Not at all, its a prediction video, based on logical things that could happen, the 2025 models will be revealed later this evening... Thanks for watching 😎✌
The biggest purchase of millennials last year was nostalgia from their childhood. It was Legos. Ours happens to be 90s PWC. You're directly dead on... in some ways. There's no shot they bring in 2 stroke again, however they NEED to release the 1630 spark next year. If they don't, they're in trouble. The 2025 release was terrible and out of touch.
Dude, you're so right! Nostalgia is hitting hard, and for us, it’s those classic 90s PWCs that bring all the feels. The whole two-stroke comeback? Yeah, that ship's sailed, but man, a 1630 Spark would be an absolute game changer! If Sea-Doo doesn’t drop it soon, especially after that out-of-touch 2025 release, they might seriously start losing their core riders. We don’t need lifestyle skis-we need the fun, raw, lightweight machines that give us the thrills. Fingers crossed for next year! Thanks for watching!
There's motors that weight 50 kilos and make like 300 + HP that would be great to put on these things any brand hehe. But we need to go back not to 2 strokes but to proper hulls that won't sink. Like kawasaki, Not like Yamaha 😂😂😂😂
Mate, you’re not wrong about some insane engines out there! Dropping a 300+ HP motor in a ski would be a wild ride, and honestly, some people are hardcore enough to make it happen. As for the hulls, I feel you-Kawasaki has been known for some solid, unsinkable rides. Yamaha's newer stuff, though, yeah, it’s got its quirks too, but they’ve had some classics that really nailed it. Proper hulls are key, no doubt. We need a mix of the old-school grit with modern tech. Thanks for watching!
I hear you and do understand your point, but I think Seadoo (with the challenge they're seeing, with moving the HPC units) will see nobody wants to pay 30k for a ski in this climate and the Spark X could be the answer... thats all I'm saying. Thanks for watching 👌
100% 2 stroke is a not happening , anything else is anyone’s guess , mine for what it’s worth 325 will be available on all the Gtx and Gtrx few colour changes and all the eggs are going into the fish pro and switch models
Hey man, I hear you on the 2-stroke being a long shot. It’s definitely a big shift in the industry. Your guess about the 325 being available on the GTX and GTRX sounds interesting, and it makes sense that Seadoo might focus on the Fish Pro and Switch models with some new features. It’s always fun to speculate and see what surprises the new models bring! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for watching and supporting the channel, dude!
Weirdly enough, 2-Strokes aren't outright banned. the emission standards are just written in a way so that most 2-strokes don't meet them... what's weird is BRP's "project ghost" that turned out to be a horizontal Evinrude is 2-stroke, but with that 3-star sticker on there, it's good to go in the US!
How are they using the ETEC on the SM? In any case whilst I would love the ETEC, the 900 ace turbo or the 1630 capped at 130hp would do just fine. Thanks for watching dude 💪
@@classicjetskisthe EPA effectively banned 2-strokes on public waterways back in 2012 for PWCs. The law had been a longtime coming, so manufacturers knew about the law long before that. Anyway, it doesn’t apply to dirt bikes and snowmobiles-just watercraft on public water ways. The 2-stroke superjet continued to be sold by Yamaha until a couple years ago, but you had to register with a private racing club to purchase it. They sold very few numbers, which is why they stopped all development on the 2-stroke long ago and just sold a legacy product in low numbers until they even abandoned that for the 4-stroke standup that could be sold to the masses. I wonder how that is working out for Yamaha? I wouldn’t be surprised if they sell in lower numbers. Those 4-stroke standups are big, heavy, and pricey.
After a little more reading... I may be wrong. Etech is a 2-stroke direct injection engine, which may comply with stricter 2006 EPA rules. So, I guess it may be possible after all.
@GCEXTREMEMN I agree nothing will ever live up to the OG XPs but if Seadoo pulled off a 60mph modern day spark IMO its deserving of using the XP name... especially if they used the ETEC which is 2 stroke... you have to think, the same brand in Seadoo who made all the machines you (we) love... is still making machines now, so if they made a 60mph machine you would be missing a trixx (excuse the pun) not jumping on one and trying it... I was like you and scared to embrace new aswell as old because of the fear of the old stuff getting left behind, but it will never happen dude... Someone said something to me that I've never been able to forget, he said, 'its great embracing the past but its also important to live in the present and not chase shadows'. I have a collection of 9 amazing clean 2 strokes and nothing will change my love for them, but the spark XP would be a respectful nod to the old machines we love vs doing what they have been doing now and pretending the 2 strokes/90s didn't ever exsist. Thanks for watching ✌
This is the worst most misleading title I’ve ever seen. Are you so desperate for views you have to put this click bait out there. There’s no way sea doo would put a 2 stroke in a PWC again. It’s 2024 man.
Hey mate, I get it-seeing a bold title can be a bit jarring. But hey, this is based on a logical theory using engines BRP uses in other products. The ETEC is real; I didn’t make it up. As for the colors and model names, you only have to look back at Sea-Doo’s history to see they could lean into this, not just clickbait. The idea of a 2-stroke revival might sound far-fetched in 2024, but if you look at how things have evolved with the ETEC, it’s a proven machine with strong eco credentials. You’re thinking of a 2-stroke as we know it from the 90s, but the ETEC is far different. You’ll see it’s not entirely out of the realm of possibility. When it eventually happens, you can come back and we’ll have a great chat about it. Until then, thanks for checking out the video and supporting the channel! ✌

It's a 1.9 litre 3cyl currently only making 115 or 150 hp, but I doubt we'll see anything done with it, partially because of the emissions issue and partially because that is a HUGE engine for a Spark, and the potential for modding is honestly scary 😆
Something I haven't heard anyone at all mention yet is the 3-wheelers.
(And btw, love the mockups you keep making, the yellow/pink colorway and the new-gen Spark XP logo both look amazing)
etec meets all the emission requirements.
Love it, so much enthusiasm. Great thoughts and possibilities! Thoroughly enjoyed the content thanks for sharing.

Incredible work put into this video! Keep it up!
Thank you dude, appreciate the comment and you watching 💪
@@3akoscielski Turbo heat on the spark hull? Don't think is so easy to control. Same engine with bigger bore and 130hp maybe.
I remember seeing a video on someone having swapped the 2 stroke etec into a spark, i dont remember where at but it was cool!
Now that I would love to see, fire me link 😎🙌 Thanks for watching 💪
Now, I wonder who that could have been? 😉
The announcement I'm expecting is a fish pro offshore with a 300.
Yes I saw all the fish related stuff... its like come on, give us the spark XP already! Thanks for watching 💪💪
The enclosed hull definitely complicates things, but with the other options on the table I still think it is doable for sure ✌
Fingers crossed they can figure out a reliable solution for those turbo kits in the future! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel, man! 💪

The daddy of the 90s was the GP1200

@@SnojetSteve My dealership can't keep stock. It's a platinum level dealer for sea doo. He's flipped his stock 3 or 4 times this summer.
@SnojetSteve not good at all!
i never understood why they never put there 2 stroke E-Tac in one of the watercrafts just to test it.

Keep them in the fresh water where they belong . They need to make a salt water version .

Seadoo will NOT make a Spark that will compete with their other models.
I hear you and do understand your point, but I think Seadoo (with the challenge they're seeing, with moving the HPC units) will see nobody wants to pay 30k for a ski in this climate and the Spark X could be the answer... thats all I'm saying. Thanks for watching 👌
