they have always had a couple odd looking cars since the bangle era, but the newer cars are just progressively looking worse. From the gigantic kidney grills on the sedans to the pignose on the series 3 and 4, to the generic looking tail lights (when the newest 5 series came out I thought it was a lexus, the taillights look so similar).
True, but I'd also include the X7 and 7 series, as well as their EVs...all of them. Worst of them all is the XM concept, that has a face even a mother will hate.
The new grille looks worse in pictures. In person, it's still not great but you can see how it fits. The grille has a bar across the middle of it and is designed for Euro plates so it's not like it needs the giant openings. BMW could have kept their small grilles and had the same cooling. The 4-Series does look like a Mustang from the side.

Car engineering trickles down. BMWs used to be kind of slow unless you had an M, now even the 340 is quick and sharp. I was behind a BMW sedan with some mods (loud exhaust, carbon fiber bits). I knew it wasn't an M3. How did I know? The owner took the numbers off so no one would know it was actually a 325 or 340 or whatever and would think it was an M3 because of the look and sound. If it was an M3, he'd be displaying that badge proudly. He didn't stick one on because he didn't want real M3 owners to call him out.
No, b58 has two fuel pumps, lpfp and hpfp, most DI engines have 2, the f80 m3 has 3 pumps, 2 hpfp and 1 lpfp. They are fairly easy to replace on b58 takes like 15min. But one would not need to replace it unless your upgrading it, they don’t go bad like old n54 engines.
That is half true. Tune only m3 and tune only b58 will lose big time, because s55 has dual hpfp and can handle full e85, while b58 cannot without spending $1.5-2k on hpfp upgrade. S55 stock turbos can handle way more power than b58 stock turbo, about 150hp more. Both engines can handle a lot of power on stock block, s55 record was 1100whp on stock block, b58 around 800-900whp for 2nd gen b58, haven’t see any more than 1000whp on stock block. S55 definitely has more potential, only s58 will surpass it.
Absolutely killer man! It was a pleasure to have you get behind the wheel!!!
what exhaust is in this?
Considering you can get a 16-18 for $30k - $35k with less than 50,000 miles, not a bad deal at all.
Yup got mine for 35K with 20k miles.

The transfer case is the issue😅 gatta take very good care of that part. I almost regretted buying the xdrive version
They also sell a trans tune called X delete that allows you to change it from all-wheel-drive to rear wheel drive with the push of a button
The trans tune is XHP not X delete , X delete just converts the car from AWD to RWD. XHP is the tune from stage 1-3
it's going to over heat the transfer case and might blow it if you keep xdelete on all the time
Back when BMW knew how to design their cars. I'm still not going to forgive them for screwing up the look of the M3 and M4.
