- Elvis Presley's Graceland Mansion is at the center of a court fight, but the singer's family calls it a scam. The popular tourist attraction in Tennessee appears to be headed for a foreclosure auction later this week. Elvis' granddaughter, actor Riley Keough, is fighting back with a lawsuit, claiming fraud.

I've seen ordinary people lose their homes by similar fraud, but it's mind blowing that someone had the balls to try this with Graceland
There is millions to be had at auction for Graceland. These thieves are high class professionals like professional jewel thieves.
What did they do With the money that they were charging people to look at that dump for the last 30 years? She was so broke that she had to use that house as collateral🙄

If the families’ affairs are not in order and a debt is owed, then the property should be sold to satisfy those debts. They should not get special treatment as Elvis heirs.
Neither should anyone who got a student loan And does not want to pay it off.

Plenty of historical items are sold yearly. Graceland is not of any more special historical significance than other places or items of historical importance.

That place has to be worth at least 200 million or more U.S. dollars! There is no way Elvis grand kids can lose that Iconic Estate for only 3.8 million! No chance! I am sure there are plenty of well heeled Celebs that would intervene if there was any chance of that! At least I would like to think so! Hopefully this will clear up quickly!

3.8 million was the loan amount in 2018. Depending on the interest rate and with compound interest if she was not making any payments, that could be 25 to 30 million today.

$3+ million dollar loan...she left $35 million in life insurance...if it was real it would have been paid by the estate. People are shameless these days! Money grubbers need to get a job.
We'll see how this works out. Lisa Marie was a financial disaster and blew every penny she ever got out of Graceland and EPE and then sold off part of the property and business and then borrowed against what little she had left to get to this point.

Right, they just manage it. Riley and her sisters own the actual physical house of Graceland itself along with all of Elvis' personal effects.
@@thud9797 100% correct Graceland is a total of 13 acres. She also owns the name Graceland per our tour guide last year. Some of the personal items are owned by EPE like cars. The case has less than Zero chance to win. Memphis would never allow it. If factual EPEs parent company would pay, 3.8 million is pocket change to them.
Glad she has $ and a famous name to fight this. Imagine ordinary folks trying to fight these scammers. More needs to be done about these kinds of companiea that take advantage of everyday people.

They’re doing this kind of thing on every level across the US. The entire country has been riddled with this kind of thing in all the country courthouses and no one seems to see that it has to be fixed.
And these bogus corps are buying up all the residential property in this country and spiking the rents so that no one can afford to live without 40 roommates.

To start with if this was real the City of Memphis or the state of Tennessee would pay the 3.8 million. Memphis makes 20 times that off Graceland every year.
Understandably the place is a tourist attraction, but why would you think the state would do such a thing? It's not a municipal obligation and they have zero interest in the property.
I don't know if they would, but they definitely should. If some private party bought & bulldozed Graceland, the city of Memphis alone would probably go bankrupt a few years later. From what I've read about it, though, I'm pretty sure it's just some fraudsters trying to make money off Lisa Marie's death.
@@giftedone831 Tax revenue, people stay in hotels, restaurants, gasoline, it provides 120 plus jobs, Elvis Presley Enterprises headquarters is there, souvenirs shipped around the world Memphis and Tennessee make money off those examples and many more.
The state needs to step in and grant Graceland landmark status.
I can't believe anyone with even a half a heart would even think of putting Graceland in foreclosure. That is and should be forever a fixture in Memphis and all the good things Elvis did for people, especially the old and poor in Memphis.

How is it being foreclosed if he outright bought it? how cam someone be at fault for not paying a loan off if they died? If its a national historic landmark why isn't it protected by the government? such a beautiful home. it must be preserved
They probably took out loans on the property. Maintenance cost and property tax on a large property is high.

@@USNBLUE The reason it wasn't seized immediately is why the default process is in place. I'm not sure about TN law, but I would think that the estate of LMP would have the opportunity to continue payments on the loan, or to pay it off before the loan acceleration process (to foreclosure) began.

It's a scam, Naussany Investments & Private Lending LLC doesn't exist. The address for this supposed company that is listed in the 61 page documents is an address to a post office, and their phone number was disconnected.

The house itself and the property is owned by the family. If Lisa used Graceland as collateral for the loan, it could be foreclosed on by the lender if the loan was not paid off. But it is all a fraud. She never took out a loan. The notary states that she didn’t sign the document. This has happened to other property holders, but how this person thought they could steal Graceland is beyond me. Putting an ad in the Memphis newspaper to announce the auction was going to be noticed by everyone in Memphis. It was not just going to slip through the cracks like it would with a regular home owner. It just all blows my mind. I am hoping criminal charges will be pressed against the person/ persons that attempted this fraud.
