Just so you know it's not just anyone who can challenge the king to take the throne. It was only the leaders of the tribes or someone in your bloodline. Killmonger was T'challa's cousin which meant he had a 'legal' birthright to challenge him, if it was anyone else they would've been laughed at. 😂

    • @sweeptime8225

Tbh if Killmonger grew up in Wakada this challenge would have still happened seeing that they are roughly the same age, both of royal blood and tbh the moment they were both born this fight was set in place

Fun fact: Since Andy Serkis and Martin Freeman were characters from the The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, on set, they were literally known as the Tolkien White guys by the cast and crew for this movie.
Benedict Cumberbatch, if they had managed to find some way to include Dr. Strange in this film, would have also been referred to as one as well.

Chadwick definitely inspires me as a person, his generosity, his humility, and him being a master of his craft. I've seen this movie probably 10 times (big fan of the whole cast and Ryan Coogler is one of my favorite writer/directors). Another great film with Chadwick is "Da 5 Bloods" & "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom." I think (want) either M'baku or Okoye to become Black Panther, best fighters and great leaders.

34:46 And my favorite part about this camera shot in this scene when he blasts them away is that it is one of the moments featured in the opening credits to all of the current Phase 4 Marvel films.
Look carefully at when the Marvel logo appears and you'll see T'Challa as the Black Panther in this exact scene. I think it was done after he passed away. I think WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and the Loki series all made this change for their intros to each episode. Black Widow was the first Marvel film to incorporate that scene and essentially kickstart Phase 4.

DAMN. I dont think I ever realized when Erik was in his ancestral plane talking to his dad and answered "everybody dies. it's just life around here" that he meant Oakland. I think I thought he just meant life, in general. I know he grew up there and that that informed who he is and why he's doing what he's doing but I dont think I pieced it together. So powerful. Especially poignant because Coogler and Jordan also made Fruitvale Station together. Also, Erik is one of the most sympathetic villains in the MCU. He did straight up murder people in cold blood because the film needs him to be an obvious villain so as to not create audience doubt in T'Challa but it does do a great job toeing that line. LOVE THIS FILM. Representation matters.

51:40 Here's your answer, Jane. There will be a sequel called 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' that will be released in theaters this November. The story is that while Wakanda struggles to cope with T'Challa's death and the internal fight for the new ruler, the nation of Atlantis rises up from the seas to wage war. Namor, the Sub-Mariner, will make his MCU debut in this film as well as Riri Williams, the young lady who will eventually become Ironheart.

I loved this film. I tell this story to pretty much everyone who reacted to this, but I had this dream before I saw the movie where I was in a park. I was walking across the grass and I saw my grandfather walking down the stairs from Heaven. As soon as he came down, I embraced him and told him I'm sorry for not being there to say goodbye. He simply smiled and told me that he still loves me and that he'll be watching over me. He then walked back up the stairs and I just watched him. I woke up crying. The ancestral plane takes me back to the dream every time and I shed some tears every time.
Chadwick seemed like the kind of guy I would get along with as well. I was saddened when I heard he passed away. To me, he'll be the one who brought the Black Panther to life. He'll always be the king of Wakanda to me. Rest in peace, Chadwick. Wakanda forever!

As much as I love Chadwick Boseman, they really need to recast T'Challa. The character is much bigger than just him and I feel he probably wants the character to continue on without him. He seems like someone who doesn't want to hoard the character to himself. T'Challa is a symbol for all the boys and girls. Mark 48:02. What does this movie have in common with a, "Batman", movie? Heath Ledger's, "Joker", survived his movie, but then the actor died, while a movie character died, "Two-Face", but his actor lives on. Though, at the time, I wasn't expecting just another trilogy set.
I was hoping for a continuous movie line, like we are getting now from both, "DC" & "Marvel".
How would the World be now if, Michael B. Jordan, had been, "T'Challa", instead? 🤔. As for the movie universe, it rushes the storyline ahead, if his sister becomes, Queen of Wakanda, earlier than she did in the comics.
I saw Chadwick's movie about, Jackie Robinson. 👍. I wondered when I would see him again. I didn't recognize him as, "T'Challa"! To me, that's a, "good thing", as Martha Stewart, says! 👍

So not "anyone" can challenge I know they don't explain it all THAT much, but Zuri did say during the 1st challenge "is there any member of ROYAL BLOOD who wishes to challenge today?" Like Joe schmo farmer can't up and challenge just because he felt like it. And T'Challa family is the ruling TRIBE the "Golden Tribe" as they've mentioned the others "Border tribe, merchant tribe, river tribe" and called M'Baku "Lord M'Baku so they are "royalty" by the customs of Wakanda. In fact the Heart Shaped herb is poisonous to non royal blood that's why only they are allowed to put forth, and Killmonger was changed for this reason in the comics they aren't related and in 1 story they let him challenge and defeat T'Challa for the BP title but when he took the herb it put him in a coma for a while. And why they pray the herb accepts them and why they bury them as not everyone will make it through the process so they'd leave them already buried if they fail.

No offense but the first marvel black super hero was Wesley snipes in blade. He was the first and they did 3 movies on top of that in the comics and the cartoon blade is on the Avengers team. Blade doesn't get any respect at all. He protects the ppl from vampires he was never an anti hero period.

also Black panther and blade existed long before the movies in comics and he said he din't have black heroes when he grew up, all he had to do i to take up comics and read it, also sry but there was even no white heroes in movies when he was growing up so hes point is totally invalid
90s batman what was like a parody not real batman was first attempt of a hero movie and he had no powers Blade was second and actually first success of a hero movie (and that's coming from a white guy)
batman wasn't bad but still its more of a joke then batman if u get what i mean, 80s series was far worse, good for kids but PG13+ would see it as dumb

I know it can be difficult, but try to ignore negative comments regarding schedules. . . Or just in general. The internet gives a lot of people a sense of entitlement because we're all so used to getting everything _immediately._
Plus, we may say things we wouldn't normally say to someone's face. That's called the _"online disinhibition effect."_ And it's not the majority of viewers. IMO it is best to just ignore them completely. I think it'll help maintain a healthy peace of mind.
That said, you're doing a great job with the edits *Jane.* 😎👍
7:52 🤦🏼‍♂️ All the viewers are collectively kicking *JV* under the table while yelling at the screen: _"Shush!"_ 🤫😄
Finally, you should watch whatever _The Making of Black Panther_ featurettes¹ you can find. They can be both moving and inspiring.

I understand what you're saying, but it's not a bad system. Not just anyone can become king/queen; you must be of ROYAL BLOOD. The only issue here is that Killmonger wasn't raised in Wakandan culture. So, the values and customs as well as the concept of nation management/maintenance that he would've received had he been raised in Wakanda weren't present. The system wasn't the problem so much as the mistake of not bringing N'Jadaka home.

However, T'Challa the character is too positive and powerful to discard!
It is straight racist to think there are no other black actors that could do the role justice!
How many white characters are recast? I just saw a movie with THREE Spider-men and it was great! People are so averse to the idea of black excellence that when it can't be denied they think it can't be replicated!
    Recast T'Challa!

    • @mikelove8720
      @mikelove8720 2 года назад

@@SeeJaneGoTV so once a year the challenge is open so anyone can challenge the current king for the throne, but royal family members can challenge at anytime, and the king can never refuse a challenge, if he does he automatically forfeits his mantle as king. This whole system is to ensure a strong ruler, but the black panther mantle is something only the tribe who worships bast the panther god (T'challa's family) can obtain. Traditionally, the mantle of black panther is pasted down from the strongest warrior in the tribe to the next generations strongest warrior in the tribe. Though because T'challa's family has consistently produced the strongest warriors for generations between all the tribes, the kings of wakanda have also had the black panther mantle. Killmonger , being apart of the royal family he was able to issue a challenge for king whenever he wanted, (which he knew about his real family since he was a kid, hence why he waited years and years and became such a skilled fighter and ruthless killer, to ensure he would win this challenge no matter who the king was) and since his family tribe is the Bast worshiping tribe he also got to challenge for the mantle of black panther. Hope this explanation helps!

To be fair, a lot of the VFX resources were stretched thin and the schedule to finish for the VFX teams were a very limited window since everyone other FX house at their disposal was working on Infinity War and Endgame, so.....VFX for this film was only just good enough for the climax. It did look unrefined, not a whole lot of polish but very unfinished.

Their is a Campaign to have T'Chala be recast just like Superman, Batman, Spider-man, and James Bond have in the past because of how important the character Black Panther is in comicbook history as the first mainstream black superhero and how there are still too many stories to tell, especially because this is his only solo movie and then was a supporting/ensemble cast member everything else. Chadwick himself sought to be a vessel for the character he portrayed and not the other way around, so why can't anyone else have the opportunity? But honestly, Blessings on Mr.Boseman's name and family and I hope see more rising star inspired by his hard work.
