Does Advanced Voice mode take your personalisation settings (the system prompt "How would you like ChatGPT to respond?") into consideration? If so, we could put some preferences about reaction times, affirmations and pauses in there, right?
Actually I found it. The simple answer is: No, not yet. Unfortunately.. . "No, advanced Voice Mode currently cannot create memories or access previous memories yet. Advanced Voice Mode also does not have access to custom instructions."
Does this work also for past interactions that's already written down? For example, I have a screenplay and it'll be interesting for it to act out every character and the narrator.
Funny you say that because I am a fiction writer of a few series. I also have the advanced mode. It does not have access to past interactions. You have to read out your script to it to get it to perform the parts of characters. Having access to the camera would make this possible, but there is no way to access it yet. I have a disability called spastic cerebral palsy (CP). Unfortunately, this means that my speech is very unclear. Now my question... Can I also use the new voice mode without having to speak by myself? Can I promt and type text to GPT, and GPT talks back too me with the new voice?
I asked mine about this and it says you can and suggested using a prompt such as this: "I will be typing my inputs instead of using voice. Please respond to my text inputs with voice." It explained that it has this capability because it's useful if speech recognition isn't accurately capturing the user's spoken input - for whatever reason.
"I feel like having someone there might help me get to the heart of issues that are on my mind" - I like this sentiment a lot when it comes to weeding out the ideas you want to flesh out. It's kind of like soft launching a conversation without having to constantly ensure you are with a person at all times. Or like having a therapist in your pocket (if the AI is created with that in mind)! I do wonder how limiting it is for the persons mindset though. Will the Chatbot start to recognise your views and regurgitate these views back to you as it knows you find them engaging? And then we have another tool that is failing to challenge our views in an attempt to keep us happily interacting? I wonder if there is a way that we could control the 'chaos' like on Midjourney, but for writing. It would be interesting to develop this tool with a scalability of questions. Say you wanted to write a review on something specific, you'd want to keep those questions relatively narrow. But if you wanted to create a think piece, you might want to engage with more challenging questions that may seem slightly less related or more challenging. Just some food for thought!
Its pretty much just voice-to-text and text-to-voice, not at all what was shown in the videos months ago. The realistic giggling and "eeh" is non existent. Maybe this is a lightweight version. Pretty decent feature though
@@roofdoor that’s interesting. The fluidity at which this works indicates some percentage of local function. Omg where can I find this app?!
When is going to be aviable ?
is this new voice stuff available by API?
The “mhmm” would fully trigger me. 😅
That mmhmm thing was really impressive
How do i get this version
Ver very interesting technology. Csnt wait for Meta and / or others to release multimodal models like these that can run on local hardware.
How long till u hit the limit?
Its pretty much just voice-to-text and text-to-voice, not at all what was shown in the videos months ago. The realistic giggling and "eeh" is non existent. Maybe this is a lightweight version. Pretty decent feature though
Question. Is the new voice capabilities working directly off the phone without going over the internet?
Does it work natively on the phone
@@lifes_magic_moments99% sur it dont
nope
@@roofdoor that’s interesting. The fluidity at which this works indicates some percentage of local function. Would love to understand the data flow which creates such seamless instantaneous correspondences. My gut tells me there is a large part of the convo taking place locally on the phone through the app using the phone hardware and a small core data set in unison with connectivity to get current or additional info
There is nothing happening on the phone. It’s all going back to servers. It’s just very low latency - thats one of the key advancements here.
Can't wait to use it!
Thank you for that video! It's awesome! Could I ask about books that you have in your background? I really love books so would appreciate you answer. Once again thank you and have a great day!
Is this already out? Im on 4o and mine isnt doing any of these things.
It's only available to a very small group of Plus users. I just so happen to be one of the lucky ones to get it. Just make sure to check your phone or iPad because it's not on the desktop yet.
when people start getting access to live vision, i wanna see someone do a magic trick and see if ChatGPT knows how it's done lol
Bring back Sky
Get a grip.

Did not sound like Scarlett Johansson. Less respect for Scarlett Johansson because of her complaining about a voice that doesn't sound anything like her.
@@hendricksausges3006 I agree. I was watching the movie 'HER' last night again, and I was thinking the same thing. They might as well just bring her back. I was one of the lucky ones to get the advanced voice mode, but it would be even better with Sky back. Juniper is the next best; I just tell her to speak very proper, and she does.🥰
@@hendricksausges3006 yeah nearly everyone else say it did sound like her, so you're pretty alone on that. Which is why she rightly confronted them. Sounds like you just wanted a reason to criticize her.
