Steve is great because he's the perfect combination of law abiding citizen and rebel. Somewhere along the way he got it into his head that stealth camping is the most wholesome and decent criminal act one can do and he's fallen in love. Where-as some men might go mad with mischief and forget themselves, you can tell Steve is always very self-aware and really has no interest in getting caught or doing anything terrifically outrageous. For Steve, he's just there for a bit of adrenaline, a bit of suspense and a beer or two. Bravo, ol' chap, bravo.
to be fair, its not a criminal act at all, He's said so in other videos but basically his local laws dictate that its not trespassing unless there's a sign that specifically says no trespassing in that area or if someone tells him so. hes basically just doing a classier version of taking a nap on a park bench lol Maybe sort of frowned upon, but law abiding nonetheless.

Hey Steve. There was a guy who has his own utube channel and credits you for saving his life. He has stopped drinking because he saw your videos and one video you did was at Walmart. Right on man! Your channel speaks to the inner child in me that was always wanting to camp in the most obvious places yet still be “wild” 😂 you the man!
i know this is a bit old, but some info about the mres! i spent about a decade training and fighting in cold weather environments and i always found that if mres are stored for a long period of time in tight packed cold environments (like a connex for a few months) it worked wonders to kind of knead to water into the sachet inside of the flameless ration heater. seems like the chemicals get compressed into a cake and dont allow enough surface area for the water to interact with the chemicals.
When using old chemical heaters of dubious effectiveness, dump the packet of salt into the heater pre-water, then wait 30 mins. The salt will help make the entree hot AF.
I’m an old woman and my countdown begins on Friday morning (sure makes for a long countdown) Don’t be embarrassed if your Thursdays are the special day!
You can boil water by filling the beverage bag and placing the beverage bag carefully inside the flameless heater. You can heat anything in a flameless heater and they are often hot enough to do two entrees or and entree and a dessert. Fun facts that might save your life.
I like to try and look up Steve's camp sites on Google Maps... Was very surprised to zoom in on this Home Depot and see "Camping with Steve" tagged in the area behind it and the Dairy Queen haha! Pretty cool. Love ya Steve mate!
Your videos are awesome!! They remind me of our way of living in the 90s. We would hitch around the country, mainly the West Coast, and find tons of stealth camping areas... behind buildings. In little wooded areas... Such great times! Drinking a beer in an unknown area. Seeking all in! I'm ready for it all over again!
The fact that this guy's channel is successful somewhat restores my faith in humanity. Hes such a genuine guy who basically conveys that there are simpler ways of life than doing the rat race.
Yes, I’m already getting burned out doing the SSDD routine everyday. And my job goes to different jobsites regularly. I find myself living vicariously through the videos guys like this put up.
As someone who use to do a lot of camping and now generally avoids it because of the discomfort it causes, these videos make me want to find my nearest woods and go to sleep.
I stumbled across your videos just this evening. I've been watching them for the last few hours now. Brought back so many memories of my own when I was evicted from my apartment or ostracized from family due to my alcohol addiction. Curiously, I never considered it anything more than the next challenge. I never got involved with the police until I was discovered and charged with trespassing on two occasions at the same location. If you want an adventure this is it! Take care.
We are getting closer and closer for Steve to camp inside a store overnight.

I love how Steve makes a dash for the tree line lmao. The little things you do Steve make us keep coming back for more.
...and pulls up short when he's faced with evidence that someone else had the same idea. Lmao
Mr. Steve Wallis,
I love your humility man. You are a true person. Throughout life's adversity you seem to stay poised on loving to live life. Your videos are truly inspiring. The urban stealth camping thing is a real way to experience a very unique lifestyle. For Fun? Even better. I have seen every video from your boondocking documentary to anniversary vid and everything in between. Your content is real and I love our chanel. Keep living life the way you want. You shine...
I’ve been watching for a couple years now. Still have yet to see Steve get “caught”. This man is undefeated
Does he cheat and the caught videos don't get put up?
I was wondering about if he ever has been caught. I was leaning towards no. Thanks for clarifying. I just started watching his channel. Really enjoy it.
@@agedefyingfitness believe he got caught behind the sign by a couple atv's.
Umm, he has never been caught because he isn’t doing anything wrong and no one is looking for him lmfao…

@Jojo Biscuit Lol. I wanna see "Camping with..." whoever the hell was camping near him.
Nice!
The mre made me think we need another collab with another Steve!
@J.P. Menger nice hiss

I don't know why but i love when he cooks/eats while camping. It makes me enjoy the journey more and the videos.
Well what’s he supposed to do idiot? Not eat or drink? It’s a human function. Everyone does it. Relax.
When I worked at Home Depot in Vermont we had a homeless encampment about the same amount of distance that you camped at. We actually would bring them some food and water. 🙂
Which one?
Those encampments are growing more than people realize
The ones here have a ready supply of labor/help at exit from parking lot!

Steve in a ghillie suit walks into the pub ... LOL
Just a guy on a stool behind Home Depot whispering and drinking Step 2's. Great video as always!
Spuce Grove boy here! This is my home town. My fiance worked at that home depot for two years. Lol, lots of people actually camp in there, believe it or not. Keep up the good work repping the 780, Steve!!
I'm from St Albert and now in Westlock., my mum works in Spruce. I was like hey this is awfully familiar 🤔 lol !!
I'm sure Steve is one of the most wholesome serial campers ever being sure to stay extra stealthy for any passerbys
This was a reccomended video. I was not disappointed.
Also, I work at Home Depot ;)
Thank you Steve for the perfect timing releasing this video! You've really helped me a great deal these past few weeks with me discovering your videos and how you offer me comfort and entertainment with your adventures. I'm currently spending the last night in an awful apartment (extremely noisy neighbors) and it has been really stressful living here with a lot of sleepless nights. Watching your videos before bedtime always seem to calm me down, so I appreciate it all man. Tomorrow though, I am finally moving into my new place in a calmer area. So right now I am here in the dark, in the bed, all hunkered down and ready to press play on this video. I always upvote your videos before I see them cause you deserve it pal!
Your videos have kept me sane through this challenging time! You are the man
1:17 I love how Steve literally looks as though he's doing something highly illegal and immoral yet all he's really doing is camping 😀
So funny lol
he couldn't look more suspicious if he tried
People watching out the windows across the street watching steve run into the woods 🤣🤣
As well as the camera(s) located at the rear of the Home Depot watching Steve emerge from the woods 12:28.
He should know better that to run like that, so much for a casual hike in the woods.
Shoot Home Depot has cameras all over their building someone deff seen him I use to be a security guard if one camara dosent get him the other will
Frankly, I don't see what the worry is. If it's behind the fence, it probably doesn't belong to Home Depot. ... right?

is this the home depot in spruce grove? haha wooooow, that patch of bush between the home depot and dairy queen is TINY!!! You're a legend Steve!
Maybe he can help other "stealth campers" in the trails around Spruce Grove clean up after themselves!!
So when Steve said "the other side of that is basically the TransCanada" I guess it wasn't literal. Just as well coulda been Calgary.
I thought the same thing! I'm surprised there aren't more people in that space
I just looked on Google maps! Ha! Wow, tiny work but more spacious than behind that sign. Now Steve, do like that pommy guy and find a roundabout or offramp circle to camp in the Middle of 😎

"Casually out for a walk behind the Home Depot" 😄 I love these stealth missions... "I'm just a regular guy, nothing to see here"
i know this is a bit old, but some info about the mres!
i spent about a decade training and fighting in cold weather environments and i always found that if mres are stored for a long period of time in tight packed cold environments (like a connex for a few months) it worked wonders to kind of knead to water into the sachet inside of the flameless ration heater. seems like the chemicals get compressed into a cake and dont allow enough surface area for the water to interact with the chemicals.
When using old chemical heaters of dubious effectiveness, dump the packet of salt into the heater pre-water, then wait 30 mins. The salt will help make the entree hot AF.
I love this dude and his videos. Thank you RUclips for recommending this guy!
Pretty sure this is where Bubble’s would get his shopping carts from!

"It doesn't get anymore claustrophobic than this!" Haha!
You can boil water by filling the beverage bag and placing the beverage bag carefully inside the flameless heater.
You can heat anything in a flameless heater and they are often hot enough to do two entrees or and entree and a dessert.

I stumbled across your videos just this evening. I've been watching them for the last few hours now.
